Brookdale New Hope is a wonderful community that provides excellent quality care! The staff listens to all our concerns and offers appropriate advice. It is such a great, home-like place for anyone. I love how friendly and caring all the staff members are; the warm, welcoming atmosphere is wonderful. I met some of the residents, and they all seem happy and enjoying living here. It was so stressful to find a safe, clean environment for my severely handicapped sister and her husband, who had a stroke. Knowing they are so well cared for makes life a little bit easier. I'm thankful every day that I found Brookdale New Hope in Gastonia. Highly recommend! Thank you, Gale Entler

Brookdale New Hope is a caring, loving home for my mother with dementia. The staff are very attentive to her needs and any concerns that my family brings to them. We can't say enough good things about Brookdale New Hope!

The staff is very caring. They treat the residents as family. They try to do everything they can to help you with any questions, needs and just support when having to make this move with your family members. The medtechs have gone above and beyond to help when I have needed an extra hand getting my parents ready and moving to go to their appointments and the transportation is great. I would highly recommend Brookdale New Hope.

My family just cant say enough about this staff and facility, they are absolutely wonderful and caring 24-7-365. The whole entire staff from the management, admin, nursing, activities, Med techs, house keeping, food services, and even the maintenance dept. are all about caring, comfort and fulfilling promises. There is NOT one rotten apple in the bunch and we dont think there will be based on our experiences with this management. Thank you all - Scott Carrigan

We feel like Mom is at Seenager Camp and our family is so appreciative of all that is done to create the Brookdale New Hope Family. It undoes the idea that many people have about assisted living. With all the activities and friendships, we have trouble getting in touch because she is always out and about. We never thought we would see her laugh this much! The family has a happy camper, not a lonely older person.

Mom is like a seenager at camp. She thinks her room is so special and has developed special friendships. She feels safe and comfortable and has excellent rapport with the staff and feels they truly care about her. She wishes there were more activities for mental stimulation. However there has been a transition in that they were temporarily without an activity director and hopefully that will be addressed. When I visit the residents are always excited to see me and love that I eat with them and attend their programs. They converse about the people that come and give their time to be with them.

My father has been at Brookdale New Hope over 3 years. The appearance of this place pretty on the outside and hallways are kept clean but they do not keep the rooms clean on the inside. My father had a small cut on his leg and blood got on the carpet and the staff never attempted to clean it up. He fell on [Date removed] and was not attended to when he needed help going to the bathroom when you pull the Help string you always are waiting for assistance. Staff has poor rating, when a person needs Help you are Ok if you don't need help. I also think they were over medicating. my Dad after his fall on pain meds. He later died in the hospital on [Date removed]

I've been very happy with it. It's really clean and nice, you couldn't ask for a better situation. There were some questions we had about getting some things installed very smoothly. Most recently we asked some questions about medicare, and they haven't been able to answer those for me. So some billing issues.

I got my mom moved here this past January and I still cant believe how blessed we were to get her in this facility. It is absolutely beautiful, just like a grand, stately home. The dining room is also very elegant and the food is very good and there is outdoor area for dining as well. It is clean and beautiful throughout the entire facility and the staff are like family to us. The staff truly cares about each resident and they try and keep them busy and entertained and enjoying life there. Entertainment is a regular thing there and all the residents appear to be happy and well cared for. My mom is happy here, which was the biggest concern for me as she had come from a facility that was in the process of being shut down by the state due to the unsanitary conditions, unsavory business practices and it was filthy. So we consider ourselves extremely blessed to call this place moms home.
