Where do I even start? Heritage Senior Living of Marysville is such a beautiful place, with lots to love! The staff and owners are so caring, loving, understanding, and attentive to the needs of the residents and their families. Such a great place for your loved ones to live. I've never been to an establishment like theirs where the owner themselves are very hands-on. A++ rating from me!

Our Mother was here for a year. She recently passed. The staff here in the memory center is just fantastic! They made my Mother's last year very enjoyable. I can not express enough how wonderful, caring and thoughtful they are. They were very caring and supportive during my mother's finial hours. God bless you all.

JeanAnne is terrific; she is super knowledgeable and helped answer all our questions. I have peace of mind knowing that Heritage is owner-operated by Angie. I was planning on moving my mom when it was brookdale however I decided to wait as she was not ready for transition nor did I find that place fit her needs. We just toured again under new ownership and the place looks completely different. Care/Food is phenomenal and staff is very friendly. We will be moving our mom into Heritage.

Our Mom has lived at Brookdale Marysville for almost three years, and we are very happy with the care she has received there. Every time a member of our family has visited, they have found Mom to be happy and very content. She started in the assisted-living unit and a year later was moved to Brookdale's, Clare Bridge, memory care unit. She turned 90 last October. This entire time, the administration team and staff have provided excellent day-to-day care for Mom, with kindness and respect. Her cleanliness, dress and appearance show those are priorities at Brookdale. We have found this to be true at any hour of the day we visit. The Brookdale Marysville facility is clean, warm and inviting and even decorated for special events and holidays. In our view, quality of life and communications has been a priority of Executive Director Ryan Phipps. This has been much appreciated during the pandemic -- we were kept updated when visits were limited. Weekly emails update families on life at Brookdale and Zoom family calls discuss current issues. An example was as a recent vaccine clinic with Marysville-area health officials. Emails also update the status of visitation guidelines, overall Covid-19 test results of residents and staff, and special events such as a Tropical Week in February to get residents ready for Spring. The weekly emails include one or two dozen candid photos of residents, showing their activities. Ryan Phipps has been prompt to respond to emails and phone calls regarding issues affecting Mom, such as her health and finances. After visiting Mom, our family members report their observations on Brookdale's staff. What stands out is the personal care they give to Mom and their friendliness. Mom has reacted well to life at Brookdale Marysville. However, last summer, her health became an issue when she stopped eating normally and began to lose weight. Brookdale's staff provided special care and coaching, which turned the situation around. We believe Mom’s care at Brookdale Marysville to be the best she can have at this time in her life. Wonderful facility! I recently needed to move my Grandma into a full care home and wanted it to be closer to me. I worried about how this change would affect her since she’d be almost two hours from where she’d always lived, and with the pandemic rules in place, I wouldn’t be able to visit. Bringing her to Brookdale Marysville is the best decision I could have made. From the start, everyone was friendly and accommodating. Great communication, especially from the director, Ryan Phipps. He went above and beyond to make sure I understood the process, got her moved in OK and that my Grandma was comfortable in her new home. No matter the day or time, when I call, there is always someone there to answer questions or help with whatever is needed. The nurses and aids are fantastic about keeping me informed on any changes (i.e. meds, therapy) and really make me feel like we’re a team, all working to make sure Grandma is well taken care of. Seeing how everyone there interacts with the residents, it’s obvious they care for them like family. Especially Tori at the front desk, who always goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome and has the patience of a Saint. Whenever I call or visit, my Grandma tells me how kind and caring everyone at Brookdale Marysville is. I cannot express enough how grateful I am, knowing she’s happy and has such a loving second family. Thank you, Brookdale Marysville!!!

Brookdale has been great for my mother thus far. They are a class act. She has had many health related issues since moving in this past November. The staff has helped me to manage the issues one by one and keep me a bit more sane!

My mother moved into Brookdale Marysville, January 2021. My mom has been welcomed into every part of their family community. She is enjoying the activities of bingo, movies, happy hour, corn hole, and exercise class. The other day she said to me, I had a busy day today! Ryan, the director, helped make our move-in very smooth. He was very friendly, helpful, responsive, and accommodating. The whole staff in all areas have been wonderful and responsive. Communication has been excellent... from the front desk, the nursing staff, director, maintenance, and program director as I get photos of my mom participating in the community. I know I made the right choice by placing my mom in good hands.

I give three stars so as not to take away from some of the wonderful nurses and staff at Brookdale Marysville. However if this review were based on Liz (Sales Director) and Ryan Phipps (Executive Director) it would be a zero. Ryan must not be used to residents who are close with their family because anytime we compared stories about conversations with Ryan, there were always discrepancies and always meant to confuse the situation to keep him from having to do the right thing. Liz, on the sales team lied to my family members when selling them rooms site unseen due to the pandemic and she and Ryan kept saying they would make it right but drug their feet so long and lied so many times that we simply moved them to a better, cheaper, newer place right down the road. We are talking 3x's the space for a little less cost. And I can't see where Brookdale of Marysville is posting their COVID numbers along with the other facilities in Union County. What are they hiding? UPDATE: In response to Management's response below - If they had even attempted to address the issues we raised a) I would not have posted this review and b) my in-laws might still be there. Ryan will lie directly to your face. And twice I saw the person at the front desk without a mask on and once Ryan without his. And I only went to the facility four times. This is a public site and people are entitled to hear all experiences, good and bad before they place their loved ones in the care of someone, especially in this COVID world where they will be kept apart. Ryan sent me a FB messenger message then removed himself from Messenger so I could not reply. That does not sound like someone with integrity to me.

This change to Brookdale Marysville July 2020 made a hugh impact on our family because the ENTIRE staff including Hospice is trustworthy, accountable and sensitive to the needs of our mother. My mom has been at Brookdale for nearly a year. I chose it because it had a beautiful garden, large windows with pretty views, working fireplaces, food made from scratch and a homey atmosphere. I was hopeful these things would bring her comfort, particularly since she was not thrilled to be surrounded by new faces. But I was wrong. It’s the caregivers who bring joy to my mother. She knows all their names and enjoys introducing me to them. I think she likes the aides the most, especially if any of them happen to know one of her grandchildren. And she can’t say enough good things about Ryan, the new executive director. Thank you, Brookdale Staff, for giving my mom something she didn’t know she needed: You!

My mother has been a resident at Brookdale Marysville for 5 years. Unfortunately with many long term facilities keeping staff is a challenge. There have been 3 directors and 3 health and wellness directors during this time. Sometimes it is difficult to keep open communication lines when new faces. The new personnel are trying and need time to make their mark.

My mother has lived at Brookdale Marysville for 5 years now, and she is very happy there. She has made friends and enjoys the activities. I continue to be very happy with her care. The nursing staff is attentive and responds promptly to any questions or concerns I have. When I visited my mother (before COVID), I always felt welcome and was impressed with how friendly everyone was - the aides, the servers, the other staff and the management. They truly care about my mother. The management and staff have also done an exceptional job keeping the residents safe during this pandemic. I highly recommend Broookdale Marysville.

I truly love this place. This place has been the home of my grandparents not just people I care for. All places have things to work out but I think they are heading the right way. Beautiful facility inside and out. The staff here care about their residents and go above and beyond to keep them happy and safe. I am speaking from experience with my parents moving into this facility in 2012 and I visited with them there many times every week.

My mother has lived at Brookdale for some time now. I love to stop in early in the morning to see her on my way to work. I always have trouble getting someone to come to the door. A poor resident always has to help me and its very unfair that a resident is struggling to help me get into the building. Also, if I can finally get in who else could get in that perhaps should NOT be there. Please make the bell outside of the building accessible so someone answers! I called the facility and shared that my mother did not like pasta of any kind. Just recently I called my mother and ask what she had for supper. She quietly replied PASTA. I was assured my mother would NOT have to be served PASTA. Very sad! My mother's birthday was in January. I have noticed that other resident's have birthday wishes on their door etc. I recognized my mother of course but was disappointed no one at the facility made any birthday wishes. I called the facility and was told they forgot but would bake her a cake. Nothing was done. So, with this said my review is NOT a good one.
