My mom was in the Crossings Memory Care. The Activity program was Five Stars! Jenniffer the Activity Director is the best! She has an energetic personality and the residents love her. Jenniffer would always get my mom involved in group activities, plus had personal activities to bring out the best in my mom. Her hard work and dedication are evident to making Activities an excellent program.

My wife has been here for over two years. She is on the first floor. I visit often. Her television will not work and hasn't t for two weeks. I've asked four times for someone to come in and fix it. If it cannot be done please tell me. If I need a new television I'll get one. If I need to get a technician in here to do the work tell me and I will get one. We pay $10930 per month. My mom lived at Brookdale, in Vernon Hills for a year and a half. She was in memory care on the first floor. The staff cared about my mom and really tried to engage her. I knew that she was safe and well taken care of.

BEWARE! People are moving out in droves! The food is alright, usually cold. On Sundays, they have a sandwich in a box without it being wrapped in anything and some cut up vegetables. The bread is usually hard by the time the residents receive it and many throw it in the trash. You have to pay extra to take anything back to your room. They want an extra check every year for $188 to give the workers a tip. The workers don't stay very long and the activities are always paused! My mom just moved out of here and several other people also. It was a nice place when she first moved here but has went downhill quickly.

My mom was in Brookdale for over six years, first in Northbrook, and then when she needed memory care, she moved to Vernon Hills. It was an overwhelmingly positive experience - first, when she was fully "together," she enjoyed all of the activities, the food, the accommodations, etc. Everyone was wonderful. Then, as she progressed to memory care, and her experience became different, I found a whole new group of incredibly caring, capable staff. I would highly recommend Brookdale facilities to anyone; these two in particular.

I love living here. The physical facility is beautiful. There are highly varied, quality activities all day long. I find opportunities to laugh and have fun every day. The staff is dedicated and capable. I can tell that they are really invested in helping provide the best quality life possible here. I have not been lonely one day since I moved here over a year ago. Also, my children are thrilled that I am living this well at this time of my life.

We just signed my mom up there for senior living. This place is a god send. So beautiful. Everything has been smooth and extremely professional. When we were sitting with Martha, the director, The food smelled so good I could hardly stand it. The dining room looks like a fine restaraunt and has menu service. The pool and rainforest are incredible. The rooms are beautiful and the staff has been nothing short of terrific. Very accomodating. Very professional. I feel very comfortable with our mothers next stage in life. Could not be happier.

The most unique atmosphere in all of Chicagoland. Where can you open your front door to the splendor and warmth of a rainforest and look/go outside to cold, snow & ice? Where can you be with forest preserves as far as the eye can see and look to the opposite direction to see all man/womankind of building, shopping, entertainment on four major corners. Add to that, a building chock full of down to earth people of all faiths, persuasions and human from all parts of the world sharing their lives without a battle. That is Brookdale's Vernon Hills home of homes. The next question asking my name, is very difficult. initially I was not sure because of my commentary about dining. But with the opportunity to go back to check what I wrote, maybe it won't hurt to let whomever know my personal feelings and those around me that occur on a daily basis. The FIVE STAR still can be applied to this super great place.

2 weeks ago, my wife and I moved her parents into Brookdale Vernon Hills and always with this type of experience we kept asking ourselves, are we doing the right thing? I can now say, we are both so happy with our decision as there is no place that have a staff and team of people that could be more caring or helpful. The complex is modern and up to date, exceptionally clean, and loaded with staff who are always there for my in laws! I would highly recommend Brookdale for anyone needing health care assistance. Congratulations to the management team of Brookdale for the fantastic job they and their entire team do not only for their residents, but also for the residents families.

Love this Place! We had to move my grandma during the pandemic and they were so accommodating and have taken such great care of her. She recently received her vaccine through the facility and is looking forward to things opening more and being able to eat in the beautiful dining room. She says the food is fantastic and they are always willing to accommodate her needs! My family is very happy we chose Brookdale. And did I mention how beautiful it is there. The indoor rainforest sold us.

I moved into Brookdale Vernon Hills in 2014. My favorite thing about living here is the staff. From the dining room to the custodial staff, maintenance, front desk - really, all of the staff - there is always someone with a friendly face to help you. Seniors are not an easy population to work with, and I'm blessed to have such lovely people working in my home.
