My loved one moved here when it was the Victory Center of River Oaks. Green Oaks of River Oaks is nothing in comparison to when it was the Victory Center of River Oaks. My love one moved and the way he was treated was awful. No consultation on physical and occupational therapy even though I'm his POA and responsible for making all medical decisions. The senior administrator tried to bully me as to when he needed to move as if he had no rights. I had to get the Ombud involved. The care was lacking the Nursing staff is ok but none of them listen. Cleaning is horrible. Some of the staff cares but many dont. He needed to go to skilled care and they brought in their own people without consulting that did absolutely nothing for his PT and occupational needs.

My loved one lived at the facility in the past. My loved had to be moved for several reasons. This place isn't all that is cracked up to be. Like I said my loved had to move I heard there was an investigation... it was not positve. Personally I would not move a loved in in the facility. I was told the individual running the facility does not pay attention to grievances nor does this person replace what staff ruins or steals. What a shame. I am so happy my loved one is elsewhere.

Like my kitchenette room. Pretty view of forest preserve. Deer come out when you least exp3s There seems to be a presence of tenants who have dementia here. Administration should work on providing extra care and resources to assist this special group.

There is no Senior Living facility like this one, they kept our family members safe, made sure that they kept us informed, step by step. Again I wish that Victory was around when my Father was alive, because he would have been so happy here, which means so would we had of been happy. Right now they are taking great care of my family member and I am so comfortable knowing that Victory is taking care of him. Thank all of you and Mona you are the Greatest.

I visited Victory Centre in Calumet City one Saturday morning and was greeted by Mrs. LaTasha Watts. She was welcoming, smiling and very courteous. She invited my family on a tour of the facility. The music was relaxing the atmosphere was joyous. The residents seemed to be happy & enjoying themselves. The amenities offered are what impressed me most. I really like that residents had the option to doll themselves up at the hair salon, reserve a manicure if they’d like and even the bbq on the weekends was awesome. Mrs. Watts made my family member feel welcome and made her feel like entering this facility would be a great move. She literally walked me through all the steps necessary to get my grandmother entered into the facility in less than 30 days. Any and ever question I had, Mrs. Watts was very knowledge and answered my inquires. I’m thankful to have met Mrs. Watts and would encourage any other families who have a need for senior housing to visit Victory Centre in Calumet City. The housing is very clean, the staff are very professional and pleasant and I felt very comfortable leaving my loved one in their care.

My experience with the assistance with my mom at the Victory Center River Oaks, has been good. If I have a concern it is addressed right away. The director always meet with me if I need to talk the coordinators the intake personnel to the activity management does an amazing job. They are very concerned, friendly and caring.

If I could give this dump negative stars I would. It smells of urine and feces, the food is not edible and the staff for the most part could care less from the top on down. If you love your family don't move them into this abyss of death.
