My father-in-law stayed in the assisted living section at Escondido Senior Living for about five months, and they took great care of him. As his health declined, the staff remained patient and kind. During my regular visits, I never saw or heard a caregiver speak sharply to any resident. Despite his limitations, they always tried to include him in activities and keep him engaged. Although it is a fairly large facility, the staff genuinely seemed to know all the residents by name. Overall, I was very happy with the care he received.

My mom lived at Pacifica Senior Living, Escondido for 9 years. She moved from a mobile home where she had lived alone for several years. As her health declined, it became more difficult for her to care for herself and she became isolated. It became clear that she needed another living arrangement, like Pacifica. At Pacifica my mom became friends with other residents and staff. Her roommate became her best friend. Going to the dining room at regular times, having her meds given to her so she didn’t have to remember, and joining fun activities gave my mom a new lease on life. My mom flourished at Pacifica. The staff are trustworthy and many of the staff have worked there for years. I am so grateful that, at the end of my mom's life, my mom was able to stay at Pacifica with the help of hospice. For the brief time she was in the hospital and then rehab/nursing home, she didn’t know where she was. When she finally got back to Pacifica, she had her furniture and things around her and she knew she was home. She felt safe, cared for, and loved. The staff were truly outstanding. Shawna, one of the managers, always kept me informed as to my mom’s status and treated me and my mom like family. I highly recommend Pacifica Senior Living, now called Escondido Senior Living as a home for your elderly loved one.

After spending three years in a skilled nursing facility, my mother was in need of a new place to call home. After researching and visiting several options, my sister and I toured Escondido Senior Living”and within five minutes, we knew this was the place for her. The center is exceptionally clean, and every staff member we encountered was warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind. It immediately felt like home, not just for us, but most importantly, for our mom. After only a few days, we’ve already seen a remarkable change in her. Her spirit has lifted, and it’s truly heartwarming to see her smile again. My sister lived there for 1.5 years. Her room was very comfortable. The staff was caring and prompt. There are plenty of activities. Our favorite was the music on Fridays. My sister had dementia and couldn’t find words most of the time. But she was able to sing along with the music. It was magical. There were lots of options for dining choices. My sister recently passed. But this made the last 1.5 years of her life much better. She made friends with other residents, and I did too. I am so happy that she was able to make her final home at Escondido Senior Living.

5 stars for the wonderful staff at Escondido Senior Living Our dad has been at this facility for almost a year now and we so appreciate the cheerful, dedicated staff. Esmeralda at the front desk is so helpful and friendly. Connie in the kitchen is very patient with the guests. Shawna and Cherryrose are very helpful with the medical and guest relations. Roy from maintenance was so sweet to patiently help us with dad's tv recently. We are very thankful for the staff at Escondido Senior Living on the corner of Washington and Harding. Many thanks to all of the staff. There is one person that I had totally meant to mention when I posted this review the first time, so I'm adding it now. Carline was a lifesaver for us! She along with the support of the staff helped our dad to get a room that works wonderfully for him and his needs. I feel the staff and community at Escondido Senior Living is a great blessing to me and my family for the care of our father as his needs changed to assisted-living.

The dining room is beautiful with chandeliers, a big fireplace and plenty of seating for dining. The menu is large. Food is tasty and nutritious. Mom is greeted by name and security is great. My 91 yo mother had a stroke and has been a resident of a SNF for the past 100 days. We have applied for ALW and are now waiting for an opening so I have been searching for a facility that can take good care of her. I met with Carline the sales director and she took me on a very nice tour of the facility. This place is very impressive! It's a larger facility but simply laid out so as not to cause anyone confusion. The cleanliness is above par. The dining room looks like a nice restaurant. The menu plan is well designed, and they have other options if the resident is in the mood for something different. They have a theater room, game room and many activities. When I arrived, there were many people getting into a large van to go to other locations. The rooms were very accommodating with plenty of room to move around. I know my mom would be happy here if they only had an opening!

This is a great facility. I have seen and been to quite a few different assisted living facilities trying to find the right one for my mother. The facility is a little older however it is clean and tidy. The staff has been very helpful and has made my mom feel welcomed and safe. I did however have a few things that needed to be ironed out, as I addressed the staff they were able to make the appropriate adjustments, had good communication and resolved my concerns within a timely manner. I also liked that we were able to work together to find the best and most effective way to proceed regarding my concerns for my mother. I am very happy to have my mom in their care and know that she is well taken care of. I would recommend this facility to a friend or family if they were looking or needed assisted living.

My 72-year-old mother has resided at Pacifica Senior Living in Escondido for more than five years and I must say that choosing this facility was the best & hardest decision my sister and I have ever made. At first, mom was reluctant to give up her apartment and live among strangers. She thought she was letting go of her freedom but this was far from the truth. We simply needed for someone to monitor her daily medications, prepare healthy meals and do light housecleaning. Mom could no longer do these simple tasks on her own and we were not able to provide the proper supervision. Walking into Pacifica is like walking into a warm-home like environment with many common areas that foster friendship and socialization. There are big comfy chairs, large TVs, a popcorn machine, a hair salon, a chapel, a lil store for necessities, a game room, planting boxes, and lots of outdoor seating with views of the manicured roses. The roses are my favorite. The front desk manager has answered the phone for years and seems to know the coming and going of every resident. No matter when I call, she tells me immediately how my mom is doing and where she is whether it is the dining room, vising with friends or taking a nap. When walking the hallway with my mom, the residents all seem to know her name. My mom feels popular. Residents share tips on the newest walkers & wheelchairs, who the new guy is, and pet the heads of the little dogs following behind. The cleaning staff is wonderful. They seem to have built a special bond with my mom and know exactly how she likes to keep her things. They close the door quickly so my mom's cat doesn't get out. On occasion, mom has asked to call me back because she has a friend over (the cleaning staff). The same is said for the nurses at Pacifica. Medications are provided several times per day by medical professionals. When we take mom away for the weekend, the nurse will pack a bag of her daily pills and instructions on time to take and if food is required. Speaking of food, the meals at Pacifica are terrific, nutritious and plentiful. When grandkids are visiting, the kitchen has made quesadillas, peanut butter & jelly sandwiches, chicken noodle soup, or a second helping of dessert on request. We all leave the table full, including those picky teenagers. Guests are always welcome and the grandkids love to visit. They say the place smells normal, not like old people, and there's always lots of food and lots of stuff to do. The calendar is posted with the daily activities including field trips, bingo, movie night, etc. The kids like the WII bowling. Due to the great leadership of Pacifica management, my mom has felt safe and independent. With the managers focus on love and hospitality, my sister and I feel a big sense of relief knowing mom is happy. We recently asked mom if she would like to come live with us and she said, “No thanks honey, I would miss my friends too much.” Thank you, Jackie and staff, for creating a home environment and loving the residents like family!

I just had a wonderful phone conversation with my Mother. She was so happy! She told me all about the Cinco de Mayo Celebration you had last week. She said it was so beautiful outside, she sat under the trees and ate with friends. I just wanted to know how much she and our family appreciate these kind and thoughtful gatherings you put on. It makes a real difference. Especially in these times when we all are feeling so isolated and far apart. I just wanted to thank you all so much!!

I have put off.putting my mom in a home, My friend told.me to go see this place.says it's really nice.Took a tour was so impressed on how friendly Everyone was even the maids. My mom has Dementhia and is hard to please.,never happy. They helped us get her in the door. Took 5 weeks before we felt it safe to go see her. In the mean time they sent me pictures and answered how she was doing. Went and saw her.she was smiling,happy and said they have really good food.have taken so much off my shoulders and I dont have to worry. I highly recommend this place.for your loved one

WOW my family and I are so impressed with this place: The staff is really wonderful -- caring, kind, pleasant, knowledgeable, and really, really helpful to the resident and family! The place is clean. They have a true chef and the food is healthy and tastes great. My dad is so very happy here. They have activities that are enjoyable and varied for the different interests among the seniors. HIGHLY recommend!

I accompanied my friend in a tour at pacifica looking for a place for her nanna, the place is really clean and the staff was really amicable and made us feel welcome as we walk throught the doors; was greatly surprised with all the activities they offer and was happy to hear from a resident there that Pacifica is the best place to be and how emphatic and caring the staff were with them; like family she said!

Went in to visit my family member and was very impressed with this facility. As my dear great aunt gave us a tour of her now home we noticed how clean and well kept the facility is. Friendly staff who were very attentive to us and our aunt. The administrator of the building came to say hello and she was one of the nicest woman I’ve ever met. My mother lives here. We chose Pacifica based on their ability to accommodate her dietary restrictions. Well, they don't really do a very good job of it. Not only do they not accommodate the dietary needs of the residents, the food is low quality and processed. The staff seems to be friendly and very attentive to the residents. My mom is very happy here and has made good friends with several other residents. Overall, it was the best option in the area for the price.

Pacifica Escondido is amazing! The level of care and caring my 95 year old mother receives is awesome. She is always clean and well tended to.
