My sister has been a resident at Juniper Village South Hills (Pgh, Pa.15220) for almost 2 years. In all that time, there has been consistent care from the ENTIRE staff, and our family is more than pleased. The staff knows every resident by name and acknowledges them with smiles or a sweet hello. The residents are "NOT INVISIBLE", which I saw in many other places that I toured prior to selecting Juniper Village at South Hills. There are always many daily activities which not only keeps the residents engaged and challenged but increases their social skills. So too, every Friday, there is entertainment of some kind - from magic shows, little piggie races, to singers with guitars or just lovely songs while playing the baby grand. I, myself, enjoy the entertainment a great deal. I am very comforted having my sister reside at Juniper Village of South Hills and my sister is very happy here...What more can I say - It's a great place and I highly recommend Juniper Village at South Hills...F.S.Galore

I’m incredibly thankful for the team at Juniper Village at South Hills. They cared for my dad with such warmth, dignity, and attentiveness that it gave our family real peace of mind. Every interaction felt personal and never rushed. The staff truly goes above and beyond, and it shows in every part of the experience ” from the warm greeting as you walk in to the way each person engages with residents throughout the day. We are deeply grateful for the support and comfort they provided during such an important time. Juniper Village also feels far less institutional than many other communities; it’s genuinely home‘like. We moved my Grandma here this past December. She was only there a few months before she passed, but I highly recommend Juniper. Everything from the initial contact to the daily care was wonderful. The people who work here are all so nice and caring, the building was so clean and nice, everything was just fantastic. I wish I could somehow thank everyone in person for everything they did for my Grandmother, but there are people who took care of her that I have never even met. They certainly made her last few months the best they could be, I appreciate that more than anyone can ever imagine. Everyone, but Brooke in particular was wonderful. And that is not only from my grandmother's care, but some friends who have had relatives living at Juniper have said the same.

We toured every community in the area when we found we needed to move Mom into a community. Once we made the decision on Juniper Justin and Tyler eased our worries and made our move with Mom seamless. Mom is doing great, making friends and we wish we would have done the move sooner.

I found Juniper for my mother in a very dark time. They were a lighthouse in a bad storm. I commend Justin and Tyler for their kindness, and the staff for their caring and kindness. In the time my mother was there she loved the food, thoughtthe PT people were great and bonded with several of the nurses. I am also grateful for their ties to Commonwealth Hospice. They are a small place which can mean some slow times when it comes to things to do on the weekend but the community seems acive all the same.

We chose Juniper Village at South Hills for our dad when we couldn’t care for him at home. It was a great decision. Everyone at the facility, from nurses and aides to maintenance and housekeeping, was wonderful. The entire building was spotless, beautifully furnished and welcoming. Our dad loved the care and attention he received from the staff. We spent a lot of time with him at Juniper and it gave us peace of mind knowing he was in an excellent facility when we weren't there.

I moved my Aunt into Juniper Village at South Hills six months ago. The staff is always attentive and always has time for our family. My Aunt is like a new person with all the activities going on. She has made so many friends we couldn’t be happier. She has truly blossomed living here.

I had an awesome experience working with Juniper Village for their Headshots and Happy Hour event. The space was recently renovated and looked amazing”really clean, modern, and elegant, which made my photo setup process very easy and seamless. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, which made the whole event go very smoothly. It was clear they put a lot of care into making their March event enjoyable for everyone!

My grandfather has only been admitted for a couple days, but I moved him from another facility and thus far the quality of care, services available, and communication has been far and above anything I've experienced in the years since he's been in personal care.

I was very happy with Juniper Village at South Hills when I toured. I based my decision to tour on the favorable reviews, especially the ones where a loved one moved in and months later everyone is happy. The tour was thorough, the community was clean and the interaction between residents, team members and my family was wonderful! The decision to move a loved one into a community is never an easy one - however, I am certain that when the time comes our decision will be Juniper Village at South Hills. The Apt we saw was very large compared to neighboring communities. Our decision will be Juniper Village at South Hills.

Our family is pleasantly surprised with our experience at Juniper Village South Hills. From the friendly staff at the front desk, to the director Traci, and the wonderful, caring and attentive health care aides that take such gentle care of our Mom. It made such a tough decision a little bit easier and we feel comfortable knowing she is being cared for as we would want. The director is down to earth, hands-on and interacts with the residents and the maintenance staff resolved a few minor issues quickly after move-in. The bright, cheerful d©cor, the daily social activities and the meals and appetizers for social activities being prepared by the new chef Brandon are delicious. I would recommend this facility if you are ever faced with such a tough decision for your loved one.

One of life’s hardest decisions you are forced to make is having to put your parent in an assisted living home. After visiting a few, we decided on Juniper Village at South Hills. It has turned out to be a great choice for our 93 year old mom after she broke her hip. After visiting Juniper, we knew right away this would be our choice for her. When we first went and saw the facility, the Executive Director by the name of Traci was so welcoming and we felt like it was such a homey and caring place to send our mom. Traci is so involved with all of the people living in the facility and is so down to earth and just is a fantastic director. My mom has been there over a month and is getting physical therapy and is doing very well. The activities they have every day are excellent. It’s just so amazing, I can’t say enough good things about it. The chef is also to be commended for his delicious food that he cooks up for the residents. Everything is fresh and cooked from scratch. What more could you ask for. I would highly recommend Juniper Village at South Hills if you are ever looking for a caring place to send your loved one. Every single one of the workers has been extremely nice and my mom loves them all.

My experience is mixed. While the place is clean and several staff members go above and beyond, others were annoyed when I had questions regarding updates on medications. Since most of residents are elderly, you might expect a nurse to be there on every shift. One nurse per day not per shift. When my husband became I’ll, I took him to urgent care. Some staff are very caring, while one staff member constantly complained he couldn’t wait to go home. Short staffed and activities were often canceled without notice. Transferred him to another facility. Also sent home with a couple of hundred dollars worth of meds that the new facility couldn’t/wouldn’t use. This was out of pocket expense for us.

What a wonderful facility for respite care! I was here for the entire month of April and the experience couldn’t have been any better. The entire staff is very professional and so caring. From the moment I entered the facility, to the day that I left there, I felt at home. I would highly recommend this facility.

We as an artist were scheduled for a music program. We did not see a calendar and therefore we placed a call a few days ahead of time to confirm our date. However we were told they were in lockdown because of COVID and had to cancel us. If we had not called we would have not known this and would have wasted our time and money for this engagement. Please try to do better and respect those who wish to bring some joy and encouragement to those at your community. Update: After communication from the staff involved there was an apology and compensation provided. Thanks for making this situation better.

My husband was there for respite care last month. The staff,the nurses ,the social worker were above what I ever expected. He was kept busy with entertainment played games and totally enjoyed being there. Emily Sikorski kept me informed on how well he was doing and how everyone loved him. She would let me know what activities were each day.. I can't say enough abut her kindness and making me feel relaxed while he stayed there. I highly recommend this facility and when the time comes for placement I know where he'll be happy at.
