I recently had the pleasure of visiting BridgePoint at Los Altos after being invited by my friend, I-Touch, and it was truly a wonderful experience. From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed and had the opportunity to meet many of the staff members working there. I honestly can’t find enough words to fully express how impressed I was. Everyone, from the reception team to the chef, supervisor, and executive directors, was incredibly kind, friendly, and genuinely hospitable. The positive energy and teamwork among the staff were clear, and it’s obvious how much care and respect they have for the residents. A special thank-you as well to my friend I-Touch for making the visit so memorable. I was also treated to the same meal served to the residents, and it was outstanding. The food was delicious and thoughtfully prepared, the salmon, in particular, was the best I’ve ever had. During the tour, I had the chance to see several of the rooms, which were very clean, well-organized, and beautifully decorated. The wall decor especially caught my attention and added such a warm, welcoming feeling to the living spaces. Thank you to everyone at BridgePoint at Los Altos for the amazing work you do every day to support and care for our elderly community. Your dedication truly shows. I highly recommend this community to anyone seeking this type of accommodation.

We love it: the accommodations, the food, the staff, the activities and the residents. It is a monthly rent place, thus there is no need to plunk down LOTS of money to buy in. If you leave, no need to sell your place. The highlight of the many activities are the special events when there is a theme for the food, the outfits worn by the staff and the participating residents. The most recent one was a Turkish event including a belly dancer who entertained and encouraged the residents to dance as well.

Bridgepoint out did themselves today at the Turkish Party. My mom and all her friends dressed up and joined the spirit of the lunch. It was over the top fun, the staff went above and beyond today to make this a special event. Here were some of the comments from our resident group today. "Best party ever" . "This is exactly why I moved here to enjoy life again." "It raised my spirits to be part of the fun today" A plus all around including the food that was exceptional. From the first day I moved to Bridgepoint, the residents and staff could not have been friendlier. I was welcomed by each group I joined for meals and have been enthusiastically helped by the staff members. The many activities and events include daily exercise classes, gardening, Bingo, music programs and daily movies. My favorite activities are the Book Club which meets once a month and the Writing Group which meets weekly. I especially like the Special Events we have here because they create a real feeling of unity among us. We all laugh and clap at the creative costumes that appear at these events. I like to add something a little crazy to my costume just to make it more fun. And it is especially wonderful to have the extra delicious food that Aytac masterminds at these events.

Under the exceptional leadership of Rod, Bridgepoint Los Altos is more than just a place to live”it truly feels like home. The warm and vibrant environment allows residents to thrive socially, cognitively, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. As a result, residents are engaged, happy, and healthy. The entire staff consistently provides outstanding care and service, often going above and beyond. For example, Maria, one of the directors, went out of her way to make me feel welcome and help me integrate into the community when I first arrived. The wellness team under the direction of Juliet, offers creative activities and encourages and acts upon activity suggestions from residents. For example, I requested an outing to the Computer History Museum given one of our residents is a volunteer docent there. The outing is now scheduled and, the wellness team even checked with me about the date first, to ensure I could attend. In addition to outings, Bridgepoint has special interest groups that are engaging and help create community. I attend and participate in the book lovers group, Jewish group and writing group. All three of these groups are meaningful to myself and others and bring much joy to us all. The maintenance team, directed by Morgan, is prompt and friendly in addressing repair requests. Recently, during a major generator upgrade, the team’s preparation and communication were exemplary. Rod, our CEO, even came in on the weekend before the project to ensure everything was set for a smooth transition. The culinary team, under Ayta’s leadership, serves fantastic meals with diverse dietary options. Percival, one of the cooks, consistently goes out of his way to prepare food exactly to residents’ preferences. Dining here is more than just eating healthy”it’s a culinary experience. Ayta and his team create an inviting and inclusive atmosphere with themed monthly events that foster community. For example, this month we are having a Turkish theme, in which a belly dancer is coming to entertain us during the luncheon. In the planning of these events, Ayta and his team, including Jack, attend to every detail from the menu selection, to the room decor and photo station as well as table decorations and flower arrangements. These monthly parties are truly a community building experience and a unique aspect of living at Bridgepoint. No-one can put on a party like Ayta and his team! I love living here at Bridgepoint where truly, everyone is family!

BridgePoint has many positive attributes, but I would say that a real highlight is the dining room and the delightful organized events put on periodically by the staff. Today I attended a Turkish lunch (A Day in Istanbul) with charming decorations and a belly dancer. Some residents dressed up and even danced, and everyone seemed to be quite enjoying the event. They also recently had a Victorian Night and an Oscar party. There's a real spirit of fun, and it's great to see the residents having such a good time.

It’s interesting that there are no (recent) reviews from residents, only from people who visit a resident for 1 meal. The building is tired and so is the staff who don’t appear to embrace the residents as much as the marketing materials would have you believe. There is no welcoming or orientation for new residents - they are left to fend for themselves in terms of meeting fellow residents and meeting staff and being encouraged to integrate in the community and its offerings. The sole exception is the dining room team who are an absolute delight (and the food is delicious!). Be wary of the marketing staff who overstate room sizes by 20-30%. Ask for exact measurements from the maintenance crew - you may find that 800sf unit is really just shy of 600sf. How no one has caught this earlier is beyond me. There are several residents who have their own vehicles but the vast majority are in wheelchairs or walkers which again is diametrically opposed to marketing materials. Taking care of the elderly is no easy task. I hope I’ll be able to update this review in a few weeks with a more positive perspective but for now I’m very sad to see my mother at Bridgepoint UPDATE AFTER 3 WEEKS: still unimpressed. Head of maintenance doesn’t care about residents but the maintenance staff has been helpful. When elevators were broken dining room staff catered to 2nd floor residents’ room. Activities schedule still seems more like a wish list than a confirmed calendar.

Wonderful community offering a plethora of activities & options to fit the interests of the residents. The dining services are top-notch. In addition to a standard menu, there are daily specials to choose from. The desserts are not to be missed. The waitstaff are professional, friendly and very accommodating. Plus, they get to know the personal likes and dislikes of the residents.

I enjoyed having lunch at Bridgepoint with a friend who lives there. It was a lovely salad and I got some banana cream pie as well as onion soup. The stagg came in to sing happy birthday to someone. Our waitress had worked there over 20 years.

I visited my good friend Kathy on 6 consecutive days from September 23 through the 30th. I thought it was a wonderful experience! Kathy seems to be getting the care she needs. The employees did everything possible to help Kathy feel comfortable in her new environment. There were lots of activities available. We had wonderful dinners in the dining room. We watched movies every night I was there. The movies were Thought-provoking and were well attended. We had Pizza, one afternoon, and bagels on another in the bistro. We went to a tea party on another afternoon. There was a lot of interaction between the people at our table. The food and tea was great, and there was even some entertainment by one of the residents, playing the piano.

I have lived at BridgePoint for one month now. It’s a very friendly environment, and they are very considerate of the residents feelings. I was interested in BridgePoint because of the medical care they offer, pricing, lifestyle, along with being close to my family. I really like the patio garden, the people, and the food. The food is very good, and the chef is very open to my suggestions. He has added items to the menu at my request. If someone is considering BridgePoint for themselves, I would say it is perfect for seniors of all ages, they would do very well here. There are lots of areas to walk, outdoor activities, and they cater to an active lifestyle. Lots of good options and activities for people who can’t travel.

I am a resident of BridgePoint and will have lived here for 2 years next month. The staff is great and so nice. They are helpful and are there whenever we need anything. The residents bond with the staff, but we do get sad when they leave. I moved in because it's a very causal community and more like home. Some other reasons I like this community is that they are very pet friendly, offer unique apartments with the patios and have reasonable pricing for the area. There is a lot of flexibility when I need to add or remove care. I get to stay in my same apartment no matter what. Some of my favorite things are the staff, the people, my room and the gardens around the community. While my dog is older and doesn't use it much, it's great to have a dog park. Before my injury, I would play balloon volleyball regularly. Sometimes, I like to just stay in my room and have privacy.They are very respectful of that. If someone is considering moving to this community, I would say for sure come here!

My parents moved into BridgePoint in August 2017. When my parents and I visited friends in other assisted living facilities, we always came back to BridgePoint with the realization that it was a lively community rather than simply a place to live. Not only was the food excellent, so were the numerous activities offered to residents. Most importantly, the staff are genuinely dedicated, and they care about the residents as though the residents were their own parents. Although my parents have now passed, I could not have asked for a more wonderful place for them to spend their final days.

We recently moved my Dad to Bridgepoint and it has been a very positive change. Dad loves the variety and quality of the food, and that he can eat at the bistro outside of the regular meal times. His room overlooks the grassy tree shaded side yard and he loves having a 'backyard' view. The staff is attentive, caring and everyone has been very welcoming and helpful. The community areas are open, bright and very comfortable and include outdoor courtyards and a garden area. There are so many positives about BLA!

Our greatest concern with finding a senior living center for our mom was that she was very active, independent and social person for her age. We knew that she didn’t want to think of herself as an old person, rather a vibrant individual looking for new adventures, but also one who was tired of the task of maintaining her own home. After looking at a number of senior communities in the Bay Area, she selected BridgePoint for not only setting a high standard for facilities, amenities and activities, but for truly outstanding food service - an essential requirement since mom’s culinary tastes and cooking abilities were very high. We felt it was a smart decision. We’ve been delighted with the staff, the care and attention each employee brings in keeping the residents at BridgePoint active and engaged. The meals, special events and performances are so good that we frequently try join in the fun, as guests. Although their residents need a wide range of care - from nearly total autonomy to those requiring comprehensive assistance - the BridgePoint/Los Altos staff focus on giving each resident a warm, caring and active environment to thrive in. I have only seen this community blossom after three years of partnership with Bridgepoint of Los Altos. The renovations done inside and out give such a warm and welcoming feel and can make you feel right at home. I especially love the remodeling of the gym. It has a nice large mirror that extends the length of one of the walls and a set of parallel bars where I can work with my clients. The gym is often used by the highly skilled and competitive chair volleyball team. Another quality that sets Bridgepoint apart from other communities are their staff members. From the Wellness department, front desk, nurses, care givers, dining and maintenance staff all exude friendliness, hospitality and professionalism. They are the true backbone to this community and are the reason why it thrives so well. If you're concerned about the quality of meals that the kitchen provides, look no further. Kevin and his dining staff provide some of the best meals with variety and vegetarian options! They use some of the freshest ingredients and my food always comes out hot.

Ny mother in law lived her for several years until she needed more care than they were able to provide. Of all the places she lived before she passed in 2017 this was the best, Staff was professional, plenty of activities, food was delicious. The street is fairly quiet but it's a short jaunt to El Camino Real and transit access (she was in a wheelchair and I don't drive so I'd frequently take her to aooiubtnebts via transit before my husband retired). If it wasn't for her getting too weak to do a lot of things herself or with a single assistant (she needed two assistants often due to the chair) I think she would have remained here the rest of her life.

I agree with the previous review! Our mother was at BridgePoint for the final 6 years of her life. She repeated remarked on how happy she was to live there. She enjoyed Bridge, liked the food and staff and LOVED to play volleyball! The maintenance staff customized her apartment, securing furniture to the walls, painting and hanging her extensive art collection. Though it was reduced in size from that of her previous assisted living facility, she thought that it was beautiful. I should also mention that it had 2 nice closets, important for our fashionista mother! The staff was always helpful to the family and stood by us when she fell and was brought home on hospice. Under the care of the agency they recommended, she came back to life and enjoyed another 4 years of music events, group exercise and good friends- and VOLLYBALL! until her recent passing. The staff assisted us in our Celebration of Life that we held there so her friends could attend. They set up the room, provided flowers and refreshments and even a sound system so we could play her favorite music. They helped get the word out about the event. It was standing room only!

BridgePoint brought my mother back to life after a hospitalization and two months in a Skilled Nursing facility. She immediately began gaining strength as she enjoyed excellent food and many intellectually stimulating activities and events. Her medical and Nursing care have been consistently exemplary. Her care givers are attentive and really do respond promptly as advertised. The staff and pleasant building and grounds always make me feel welcome and at home as I visit with my Mom . I evaluated many assisted living facilities, and BridgePoint offered the best combination of care for body, mind and spirit!
