The staff and accommodations at the Addison at Moorehead Place made our family very confident in selecting this facility when helping my eldest sister choose an appropriate assisted living facility. It is very nice and clean, all on one level and has a state-of-the-art fall detection system. The staff assisted with making move-in easy, and since she’s been there have been most helpful in providing her with the assistance and attention she needs. All interactions our family has witnessed have demonstrated a friendly, kind, compassionate staff. They are cognizant of the challenges residents face in transitioning from an independent to a more dependent living environment and try to do things to make the transition easier. It’s a very personalized and personal environment, which is made possible because there are a limited number of residents, approximately 40. If you are considering assisted living care for a loved one, I would not hesitate to recommend this facility. Thanks Sherri and your wonderful staff for all you do to make Marie’s experience a positive one!

After the realization that my father would not be returning to independent living, the immediate search for the best situation began. My mother and I toured several of the personal care homes in the area, but there was no question in my mind where I wanted them to be. Sherri and Moorehead made this tough transition to move both my parents into personal care one that brought great peace of mind. After spending a good bit of time there after their move and interacting with the fantastic care staff, I 100% confident it was the best decision.

It has been a year now since my parents moved into Moorehead Place and we are highly satisfied with their care and life there. From day one the staff was welcoming, supportive and very helpful - especially Sherri, the Community Relations Director! She has been helpful beyond our expectations and attentive to helping my parents get adjusted. The staff are kind, caring and encouraging. They check in regularly to ensure all residents are coming to the dining room for meals and to the common room for activities. My mom has therefore thrived from the stimulation, something we were hoping for! The facility is clean and well-run. I have found The Addison at Moorehead House to be a very caring and professional residence for my 99 year old mother. The staff is very patient and treat my mother with respect for a woman with a long and interesting life. She is safe and comfortable and the atmosphere there is bright and open.

Our family is very grateful for the exceptional care my mother received at The Addison of Moorehead Place during the last two years of her life. When independent living became unmanageable or unsafe for her, she transitioned to Moorehead Place. From day one, she felt secure, and the relief of having cooking, cleaning, and daily tasks taken care of was immediate. What truly sets Moorehead Place apart is how beautifully they adapted to her changing needs. When she first arrived and was quite mobile, the activities kept her thoroughly engaged. She loved playing cards, walking laps, and even participating in "chair racquetball." The staff accommodated her passion for reading by helping her host a book club right there at the facility. As her health naturally declined, the staff seamlessly adjusted her care. Every transition was handled with immense compassion and a high-level of professional nursing competence. I got to know both the Director and the lead nurse on a personal basis, and their communication gave me an immeasurable amount of comfort. I always knew she was in the safest, most capable hands. Beyond the daily care, they went above and beyond logistically, assisting us with the complexities of her long-term care insurance policy to ensure payments were handled smoothly. Moorhead Place didn’t just care for my mother; they gave our family peace of mind during a difficult season. My mother was in another “luxury living” personal care home in Indiana which I was not comfortable with. We got my mom on the waitlist but unfortunately she passed away. Sherri E. was so kind, attentive and helpful in trying to get my mom admitted. She was checking in on us while mom was hospitalized asking if she could help in any way. Even after she passed, she was still checking in. Never heard a word from the place she resided at for a year and a half, during her hospitalization or after her passing. I think this speaks volumes of Sherri and the staff and I would highly recommend you check them out if you’re looking for a home for your parents!

With all of the stories, good and bad, that you hear about assisted living, it's really a relief when you land in one of the "good ones". Almost everything about the Addison of Moorehead Place is fantastic. First off, it's clean and open and bright. From the top down the staff is positive, caring, and helpful. My mom has been there for a little over a year and it's like she's living with family. The ED Bethany and Nursing Director Alisha have assembled an amazing group of helpers. The only complaint mom has is that the food isn't the best. But I know they're working on it, so we can hope. But the things that are the most important are the fantastic. Knowing my mom is such good hands is a real relief for me.

I've been to many parties at Moorehead Place and they've all been wonderful! The food is delicious, the themes and entertainment are fun, and the residents really enjoy themselves. I've also been there many times to visit friends and the staff are friendly and welcoming, and seem to genuinely care about the residents. The residents are treated with respect and, from what I've seen, are also provided with excellent healthcare and services.

They had a very nice celebration for all those who volunteer at the nursing home today. We go in once a month to provide a church service for anyone who wishes to attend. Everyone is always friendly and welcoming.

I contacted The Addison of Moorehead on a whim for my grandparents after my son helped with a project there for the Boy Scouts. I fell in love with the beautiful courtyard and living room at first sight, and I just knew it was the perfect place for my grandparents to live out their next chapter. Bethany was amazing - she answered my incessant list of questions via call and text and helped us so much with the transition. My Grandpa was in love with the community the second he saw it; my grandma took more convincing to move to the next chapter - but all the staff was incredibly helpful and empathetic with us during the transition. After a couple weeks, my grandma was absolutely in love, and now, 9 months later, she tells me daily that there couldn’t be a better place to live. The relatively small number of residents allows for a personal relationship between staff and residents, and I truly trust that they care about her well being, quality of life, and dignity, not just basic care needs. She absolutely loves the meals, and the activities are a very important and enriching part of her daily life. The staff makes life so fun there. I love the other residents that live there, and I feel so thankful that my Grandma gets to be around such great people. My Grandpa passed away a few months after they moved in, but they made sure he got his last wish to die peacefully in my grandma’s arm. They provide exceptional care and provide invaluable insight and connections to physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, home health nursing and hospice. I cannot recommend The Addison of Moorehead enough. You absolutely will not regret picking this as a new home for the people you love most.

I recently needed a place to continue to recover after leaving hospital care and not feeling quite up to going home alone. This place had good reviews, could continue my o.t. and p.t. services and could give me a private room and bath. The staff there was very accomodating and even furnished a room for me. Though I was only there for about 4 weeks, the staff was friendly, managed my meds, and invited me to join their activities. The premises are clean, have a main dining room and gathering area as well as smaller spaces for doing puzles

We visited the Moorhead Place because we were looking for a place for our mother. She needs 24/7 care. The staff--Beth, Sherry, Alyesha met with us and were so very kind and informative. We loved the place...so clean, so welcoming and so very well maintained. We thought it would be perfect for Mom. However, after assessment, the staff indicated that she needed placed in a Memory Care Unit elsewhere since Moorehead Place does not have a Memory Care Unit. We were so sad. But the staff didn't stop there....they recommended a local place with a Memory Care Unit. Sherry even followed-up with us to see how we were doing. They just were all so very kind. We know individuals who live at Moorehead Place, and they love it. The care is fabulous, and as I said, the facility is just so clean and so welcoming. I told them when my husband and I are ready for a facility, we'll be back so save a room for us!

It’s attractively decorated, super clean and efficiently run by a very friendly and caring staff! It is a great place for your loved ones. Its in a homey neighborhood setting. Views out the windows are like looking in your own back yard! Staff is exceptional. Small facility makes it like home. Always clean and cheerful. Check it out...Mom was very happy there.

The staff is very professional and caring. The facility is bright, clean and updated. Nicely decorated and very comfortable. The staff communicated well regarding our family member living in this facility. Unfortunately our family member needed to move to a skilled nursing facility. Staff at Moorehead Place were extremely helpful during this transition.

As i don't have family by blood here i do have a wonderful Angel here. He seems to be happy and the staff seem nice. The place is small and appeared to organized and homely as it can be i guess. The daily activities are posted and i witnessed a volunteer that was having a prayer get together. She was very polite and the residents involved seem to really like her. I love the fact that this place is in a neighborhood. I say this because i would think while pulling in or walking out the residents would feel more like they are in an actual home setting and not a facility. I was happy to see the environment and it's location. More of a feeling of ease than dispare.
