Mom loves her new home at Chatham Ridge! The staff in the assisted living area have become our extended family members and we love them all! Amanda, the Activity Coordinator is awesome! There are always lots of daily activities for the residents and she encourages them to participate when interested. Mom truly seems to enjoy them! Vanessa and L A could not be more helpful! Always welcoming us when we walk in the door and since Chatham Ridge is such a convenient location, we visit often. We highly recommend Chatham Ridge!

My mother has lived at Chatham Ridge for two years. The facility is clean and well-managed. LA, the receptionist, is amazing. Ben, the Director, is a good communicator and listens to residents and family members. The new food service director is working hard to improve the dining services, and the activities director is energetic and fun! The nursing staff are skilled and they truly care! Regular holiday meals for families and residents, weekly bingo, daily news, movies, and other activities allow residents to be active. The rooms are spacious, the bathroom is large, and housekeeping does a great job keeping the space "hotel fresh and clean". Conveniently located near Chapel Hill and Pittsboro, near shopping and restaurants, and quietly tucked away just off 15-501. Chatham Ridge is a wonderful community!

I moved my mother into A L at Chatham Ridge in October 2023. Chatham Ridge was the first of four communities that I toured looking for a place for my mother. Chatham Ridge is the one I chose as it had the warmest, charming, and welcoming environment. I met with Vanessa Rice and asked lots of questions, toured the community, meet the staff, and some of the residents. The staff is amazing and give great care to my mother and the other residents. My mother fit in and settled in just fine. I talk with her twice and she tells me how happy she is. There are lots of activies for the residents to participate in. I also have attended two holiday dinners and the food is delicious. I feel so relieved that my mother likes living at Chatham Ridge and feel she is safe and in good care. Consider Chatham Ridge for your loved one when the time comes.

Based on my observations as an occasional performer in this community, I find the residents (in both assisted living and memory care) appear well-cared for. The staff goes out of their way to be helpful whenever I come in. The communication between staff members and residents - and when we are conducting business - is warm, friendly, and consistent. The residents seem happy - and enjoy activities planned by staff. I appreciate this community from a vendor standpoint and am always glad to work with them.

Chatham Ridge offered a full Thanksgiving meal to share for the residents and 2 family members. The food was good! The Admin staff were the servers. The new owners and staff are trying very hard to make good care their priority.

I would like to say that I normally don't post reviews but I thought this was necessary to help anyone interested in placing their loved one in Chatham Ridge Memory care. My 85 year old mother was in Chatham Ridge for 2 months. Within that time frame, my mother's health deteriorated so dramatically that she went from a physically fit (able to walk a mile) woman with dementia to a helpless woman in a wheelchair. These were the factors attributing to her decline: 1- My mother was never bathed and her clothes were rarely changed. In 2 months I recall only 1 bath given. Her hair was saturated in oil and never groomed even though I paid $300 for those services. She would frequently sleep in her clothes and wear the same thing day after day. Residents would walk around with a diaper full of feces and feces would be smeared over the walls. 2- My mother was sent to the hospital 7 times in 2 months! Hospice got involved in her care and was supposed to be called rather than sending her to the hospital..This was never done. Instead, Chatham just called an ambulance. The ambulance people even made the comment that Chatham personnel just "wanted to get rid of her". My mother was actually at Chatham about 30% of her 2 months due to going to the hospital. 3- Food was not acceptable. Once, mom received a biscuit with tuna salad for lunch and we were told the cook had called out sick. This was definitely not a balanced diet. 4- A family member and friend went to visit one day and found a staff member sitting on mom's lap. The staff member said they were trying to keep her from getting up and walking. This all happened in front of the "in charge" nurse. 5- During the first few days, mom's purse, dentures, prescription glasses and cell phone were all "lost" and never found again. Having no teeth or glasses definitely lessened her quality of life. 6- During my mother's many visits to the hospital, I would come back to find her roommate sleeping in mom's bed with the roommate's oxygen tank plugged up beside her bed so of course the staff had to facilitate this happening. 7- Caretakers did not seem to be interested in the residents and were frequently found congregating to "talk". I will say there were a couple that seemed to care, but they were rare. 8- The Executive Director would not return my calls and I later found out that she had quit. Front desk staff are unapproachable and have an attitude (with exception of the check-in woman and the Marketing Director who were very warm and friendly). There is so much more to report, but this gives you some idea of the Chatham Ridge experience. What looks good on the outside is not always good on the inside. Hope this helps.

If I could leave a 0, I would. A very dear friend of mine has been in Chatham Ridge Pittsboro, for Memory Care due to Alzheimers. The facility looks very nice, clean etc. but unless your loved one is TOTALLY independent and has absolutely no needs, do not choose Chatham Ridge. But really wha person needing memory care is that independent. Through various family members visiting it was noted that she had the same clothes on for 5 days. Sometimes she is in her pajamas all day, had most of her belongings, clothes, shoes and dentures stolen. She has fallen out of bed 5 times in 3 weeks. The staff is friendly but totally UNTRAINED. I don't think anyone checks them at night, or gets them ready in the morning. I observed an aid/ care giver, sitting on a resident in her wheelchair to keep her from getting up....training would tell you to let her go and eventually guide her back to her room or wherever she might want to sit. She could barely walk 10 steps so long distance cross country was not likely. What do they expect from Alzheimers residents? If they don't know how to work with people with memory needs don't call it memory care! I have been shocked with every visit. Don't send anyone you love there. My friend has deteriorated so quickly in there, I am in shock.

After spending 3 years at another facility we relocated our Mom to Chatham Ridge and I have to say it was the best decision weve made in her assisted living care. The facility is clean, well decorated and just comfortable. There is a calmness and comfort in the air that we never felt at the previous facility. Patricia Kim has been a pleasure to work with and I get the feeling that she feels like everyone there is her Mom or Dad, at least that is the way she acts. And I have to say they seem to be well staffed with minimum turn-over. That was not our experience before.

Chatham Ridge has been home of our mother and mother-in-law for the last 4 years. It deserves a 5 Star Rating because of the quality of care provided there. When you first walk in, you see a pristine, decorated and welcoming facility. Resident pictures adorn the walls and sometimes their works of art are on display. Residents are walking around the halls and seem very happy. The staff is very personable and caring. There are countless activities for the residents to participate in. There is Physical Therapy on site which is a plus. If any concerns arise, the administrative staff is very willing to solve them. We feel very comfortable having this be our relatives home.

I want to recommend Chatham Ridge as a safe, compassionate place for loved ones who need extended care. A dear 90+ year old friend, who was also my husband’s legal ward, resided there from July to November 2019. The staff on the memory unit and general unit were helpful, friendly, and willing to discuss and implement individualized care plans. They worked closely with him on his medications, physical therapy, activities, and food preferences. And, when our friend was suffering a heart attack when out with another friend, the nurse at Chatham Ridge gave support and sound advice to access EMS and treatment. All personnel and departments were top notch in every way.

Very clean and caring staff! Prompt calls on any issues and easy to get in touch with the staff including the director who gives out her cell number. They are more like family than a facility. No place is perfect as you rely on people who have ups and downs - but Ive never seen so much personal attention given to the residents. Everyone knew my moms name (and my name as well! ) I wholeheartedly give a 5* to them. Ive never seen this level of personal attention in the other two facilities my mom was residing prior to Chatham Ridge.

We are researching Assisted Living Homes for my parents and took them to visit Chatham Ridge. Kim and Julie met with us and treated our parents very warmly and respectfully. They answered our questions thoroughly and even contributed answers and thoughts from their wealth of knowledge working in the senior care business that would be helpful in making a decision. My Dad was not ready to move quite yet but we highly recommend checking out this facility for your loved ones! Thank you Chatham Ridge for your time and warm and caring manner and for your professional assistance.

We placed our dad in the Memory Care Unit last month. He has been in two other facilities since July 2016 and Chatham is by far the best place ever!!!!! Chatham is the only facility that has even tried to help my dad and they treat him with such wonderful loving care. All I ever heard from the other facilities was, we can't do anything with him, he refuses a bath, he has the right to refuse, he want change into his pajamas etc..... etc.... I had to actually go once a week at the other two facilities to bathe my dad. I am one of five siblings, so we searched and toured several facilities from Charlotte to the coast trying to find a place that would be close to at least one of us and affordable. They have surpassed our expectations in just one month that the other two facilities couldn't accomplish in 9. The staff has accomplished baths, change of clothes, pajamas at night, much more and makes my dad feel accepted. This has lifted the weight of the world off of all of us. The staff is friendly and so caring. My visit this past weekend was so warming as I listened to the care giver talk to my dad. I knew she had talked with him often because she talked about things my dad could relate. So yes, there are facilities out there that can take good care of our parents. I highly recommend this place!

We have only positive things to say about Chatham Ridges care of my mother-in-law (referred to herein as Mom) since she entered their Assisted Living in May 2016 at age 90. We performed our due diligence and decided to give this new facility a try. We have not been disappointed as they have exceeded all our expectations as their first and foremost attention is on the wellbeing and safety of the residents. The staff at Chatham Ridge worked with us from the start when they were willing to assess Moms condition at her Doctors office. They also informed us about potential financial assistance (e.g., Veterans Administration). They were very attentive to helping Mom adjust from a Senior Apartment where she had lived independently for four years into Assisted Living with a roommate. Although we were apprehensive about how things would work out with a roommate, the staff was not only reassuring but spot on as to how things would likely unfold (i.e., they have a wealth of experience, good judgement that can be relied upon, and know how to handle situations we were not qualified to address). Although unanticipated, the experience has been a significant relief to our wellbeing; we even find that we can take a little time to ourselves without worrying about Mom. We find the staff very accommodating of all our needs; whether it is medically related or changing a lightbulb. The facility is well maintained and practically spotless. Because we are frequent visitors the nursing assistant and activity staff all know us by name and give us updates on Moms condition when we walk in the door. The activities are particularly meaningful and therapeutic for Mom. The nursing assistants provide critical care needs including bathing, personal hygiene, and dispensing medications (all of which has been a huge relief on us). Any concerns or issues about Mom are quickly addressed. They check on the residents during the night and in doing so, the staff discovered a medical emergency for Mom who was taken immediately to the Emergency Room at UNC. We were notified in parallel which enabled us to join her in the hospital. Mom enjoys her three meals a day in the dining room. We also have eaten in the dining room on two occasions and found the food to be quite good along with the associated holiday activities. We feel that this is a safe and secure environment, particularly for those at this stage of life. Most importantly, Mom is happy and now calls Chatham Ridge home. We have been amazed at how well she adjusted to her new setting.

OUR STAY AT CHATHAM RIDGE I stayed at Chatham Ridge about five weeks following open heart surgery in a respite program. My wife was already there and she stayed four months. Both of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We found the facility warm and pleasant, very homey. Our rooms were spacious and the bathrooms were superb with all of the safety precautions to prevent falls and shower easily. The food was surprisingly good. It was varied, tasty, and you could always get a second helping if you wanted one (which I usually did). Both of us found the staff professional, personable, and extremely caring and competent. All of them enjoyed their work and they took a personal interest in the patients and patrons. My wife also greatly enjoyed the activities program which included local singers, piano players, and other artists. In short, Id go back to Chatham Ridge anytime. It truly was a home away from home. My Mom has had a positive experience in the Horizon Memory care unit of Chatham Ridge. The management tries really hard to attend to any questions or issues that arise. The Horizon Director and Activity Director are both awesome ladies. They truly love the residents and are always trying to make their lives fun! The Med techs and CNA's always have a smile waiting and a kind word. The food is served on cute yellow plates and Mom never complains. For special occasions they offer a wonderful buffet for families to attend. The food was presented well and was delicious. The building is designed for Memory care needs and is beautiful as well! I recommend CRAL!
