I love Legacy's facilities, but it's the people who make this a great place for my sister to live! Everyone is caring and loving towards Pat. She is taken care of very well. Pat is the sweetest and she deserves the special care she is given at Legacy. The activities are wonderful. She laughs and has a good time! Before coming to Legacy she was independent and always on the go. It has been a big adjustment to be dependent on others but the care givers and activities directors have helped her to adjust. Nursing care is excellent with medications and special care.

When I wrote this review initially, mom had been at Legacy almost four years. My mother passed away in February after almost nine years at Legacy. She was provided with the utmost in care and respect. Often seniors are so missed or ignored because they're old! That was never the case with my mom or any other resident. The entire staff went out of their way to take care of us especially in mom's last days. I can never say thank you enough for all they did for her and for our family. I'm thankful mom never had to leave Legacy because they became our family too. Some day I will need care and I look forward to knowing there is a place called Legacy for me too! My mother has lived at Legacy Village of Jacksonville for almost four years. She has received excellent care from all of the staff. Everyone who works there truly has a heart for seniors and it shows in everything they do. During this pandemic when I was unable to see my mother, I never worried about her. I knew that she was being well cared for in my absence. She is a very particular person but she finds it hard to complain about anything! I have recommended this facility to numerous friends and will continue to do so. In my opinion, there isn't a better facility on this side of our state!

My aunt decided she was tired of living alone and she wanted to move to assisted living. We visited several facilities…but after visiting Legacy she was excited about moving in. The facility is very clean, recently updated, and has an amazing staff. Weekly activities include exercise, crafts and bingo…which includes prizes (very important to my aunt). The community support of this facility includes individuals, churches, and even student organizations from the local university. They provide entertainment and fellowship with residents frequently. I have always felt as if the staff was in partnership with me in caring for my aunt and I appreciate their help in making this season of my aunt's life an enjoyable one.

We needed a place for our mother to stay and be taken care of around the clock. We were able to get her into Legacy Village where she has been loved and cared for which gives us some peace of mind. They offer so many possibilities for mother to participate in and to keep her from being alone. I am grateful for the administration, nurses and caregivers that devote their time, experience and mostly their hearts to care for our mother.

I have been amazed how the administrators and staff at Legacy Village of Jacksonville have responded to the challenge of caring for their residents while following best practices over the past 4 months of the pandemic. I have never, not once, worried about my mother receiving the best and most compassionate care possible since she has been at Legacy, and she has been here 5 years, 10 months. But throughout the unprecedented health crisis brought by COVID-19, Legacy has gone over and above whats required to keep residents safe and well. At the same time, they have offered opportunities for family members to visit or communicate with their loved one in a way that is focused on their social, emotional and physical well being. I believe during times of crisis, stress, or great challenge, we can best see the true colors of an individual or organization. Legacy Village has done just that. You can see it every day there. But in the midst of all the chaos and strife in our world right now, Legacy Village is a beacon of light, reflecting kindness and love to all who call this their home.

My dad has been at LV in the Harbor for a month, and I have already seen a tremendous improvement in his mental and physical health. My dad has blossomed at LV because of the love and care the staff gives him. The staff treats my dad and us like family. Placement at LV was the best thing we could have ever done for dad.

This place is the best place you'll find for dementia/Alzheimer's. Their memory care ward is top notch. They work directly with the college, who helped them to decorate the ward and train the staff on proven education studies on dementia. The entire staff, including administration is caring and understanding. Nicole, now the administrator is truly meant for the job she does and it shows. Unfortunately my mom was only with them a month before her condition worsened but she couldn't have been treated any better. The waiting list can be tough, but there's a reason. They treat every patient with dignity and care. My mom declined quickly and passed away unfortunately. Nicole asked if she could see her at the hospital even after we had taken her out of Legacy's care, and offered to help in any way they could after she passed away. You won't find a better or more caring group for your loved one.

What a beautiful facility! The residents seem so happy and content. Top notch from activities for residents, meals looked delicious, cleanliness of building and grounds, and genuine interaction between staff and residents. I highly recommend this assisted living/memory care facility!

Legacy Village is a wonderful home for their residents. The management team works steadfastly to make sure every resident and his or her family have exactly what they need.
