March 2025
Meadow Brook Senior Living staff, everyone, cares deeply for their residents. They treat them with kindness and dignity. Meadow Brook always has multiple of activities to involve as many who choose to participate and a great therapy group along very caring medical staff. Our mom has been living here for 5 years and we still feel we made the best choice.

After visiting several facilities, my wife and I moved her 101 year old mother into Meadow Brook Assisted Living in the fall of 2023. The acceleration of her dementia resulted in our decision to move her into the Memory Care side of the facility in December 2023 where she resided until her death in January, 2025. My wife and I cannot say enough positive things about the leadership and staff of Meadow Brook. We made unannounced visits to the Memory Care unit multiple time a week for over a year. We were consistently amazed at the kindness and care with which the Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, Therapists and other staff members treated my mother-in-law and the other residents. We marveled at the cleanliness of the facility and the hands-on leadership which the director, Allison, demonstrated on a daily basis. Near the end of my mother-in-law's life, Meadow Brook engaged timely hospice care to provide additional support. By the grace of God, my wife was able to be at the bedside of her mother when she peacefully left this earth. We were blessed to have her in the capable hands of Meadow Brook Memory Care during the final, most challenging, year of her 102 year old life.

Don’t be deceived by its beauty. Talk to the "memory care" residents. When my grandfather arrived at the "memory care" wing of Meadow Brook, staff updated me by email that he was happily pushing people in wheelchairs because he was doing so well. This was easy for me to believe, because he had done so well during his month at a skilled nursing facility once released from a couple weeks in the hospital due to an infection. But it was downhill from there”more than likely due to Meadow Brook's near-complete lack of memory care activities, its emphasis on apartment-style living that increases isolation, and its use of benzodiazepines/pharmacological restraint in general (something I questioned in particular that they refused to respond to unlike other facilities I asked). As my dad put it from what he saw multiple times in the "memory care" wing’s (beautiful) day room: They were all zombies who couldn’t even hold their heads up. My grandfather fell 12 times (that we know of) in his month and a half at Meadow Brook. He developed acute encephalopathy, a subdural hematoma, at least one UTI and was sent to a psychiatric hospital to get his meds figured out." Yet, he kept going because he had always loved life and had hope. Unfortunately, that hope was unfounded. His first POA refused to move him to another facility”even when Meadow Brook eventually urged her to do so once the Department of Health and Adult Protective Service were contacted”and Meadow Brook never contacted his successor POAs when moving him was a matter of life or death (he, in fact, died two weeks ago Sunday) and, therefore, superseded HIPAA regulations. After my grandfather’s final fall at Meadow Brook, he was taken to the hospital yet again. It was one fall too many. The bright spot of this post is that I convinced his POA to release him to a skilled nursing facility down the street. Skilled nurses and hospice workers in that facility’s memory care unit showed him the utmost respect and dignity during his final week and a half of life. If you’re thinking of sending your loved one to Meadow Brook for memory care, please don’t. Or at least educate yourself based on complaint records with the State and also tour the facility morning, noon and night at unplanned times. I gave Meadow Brook two stars only because I have no experience with its assisted living portion, which is where all the amenities are.

It’s been a little over a year ago that my parents moved to assisted living at Meadowbrook. It is a very nice facility:clean and welcoming; however it is the individuals who work there who are the heart and soul of Meadowbrook. The concierge staff is friendly and helpful. Anne Marie who oversees the kitchen and dining room is kind annd accommodating. My mom and dad love the soups and desserts she makes and whenever they have fish. Kirsten in the billing office is always helpful with anything we need and has a smile at all times. Penny, the activity director is very creative and involved with the residents. Last but not least is Sam. He is the Jack of all trades, wears multiple hats and does everything he’s asked to do and more. He treats my parents like family going above and beyond with anything they need; from hanging a mirror,to putting down nonskid strips in the shower. He’s kind and compassionate and has a great sense of humor. You can’t put a price on all he does. I want Traditions to know how lucky they are to have this staff and to appreciate them.

I cannot say enough good things about the Memory Care unit and team at Meadow Brook. My father has thrived and enjoys the day to day activities and interaction from the team members. We had several options to choose from and we know with 100% certainty that we landed in the best place. I highly recommend the Meadow Brook Memory Care unit if you are considering a long term care facility for your loved one.

My mom has been a resident of Meadow Brook for about nine months and we could not be happier. Mauree and staff is very caring and make the living experience awesome wouldn’t choose another place.
May 2022
We are grateful for the care my sister received at Meadow Brook. She was well cared for and supported during the end of her life. She was kept engaged socially and respected as an individual. We never saw staff on their phones or sitting around rather being productive and attentive toward her needs as well as others’.

I am very happy with the care my husband has been given at Meadow Brook! He loves the activities being provided. Clay salutes Jim as a veteran every time he sees him. Jim will smile the rest of the day! Megan Clark has also been a blessing. She is always there to provide guidance and answers to questions. I appreciate all the help and understanding she gives me. I am learning about Alzheimer’s as the disease progresses. This is such a hard time in any caregiver’s life. I try to remember all the good times my husband and I had in the last 54 years! He is a good man. I have been fulfilled with many blessings!
May 2022
Meadow Brook has been a God-send for my family. My Dad (who has Alzheimer’s Dementia) was not getting the care he needed at his prior residence. So much so, that when the lovey folks at Meadow Brook stated he needed to be in Memory Care, I was shocked and honestly, not my best self. Mauree and her team were so patient with me, even when I was highly defensive and scared. Mauree and Megan truly care about their residents and do everything they can to be fair and equitable while also making it a special stay for your family. I owe a lot to themand I’m so blessed and grateful they are in our lives.

I can’t say enough wonderful things about this place. My father was in the memory care unit and he received wonderful care during his time there. The people working there were so caring. We were truly blessed to have chosen Meadowbrook Senior Living for my father.
February 2022
Outstanding facility!! Wonderful staff that keeps you informed and up to date on the care of your loved ones. The staff becomes members of your family and treats each resident as members of their own families. I will always be grateful for all that have done for my parents as well as for me.
February 2022
My husband and I lived here at Meadow Brook for a year and when we decided that we really needed assisted living we moved right back! The staff is so kind and caring and always lets us know they are here for us! Mauree, our Executive Director, steps in and assists in any area needed whether it be housekeeping, food service, administrative work or as an LPN passing out meds. She is so polite and caring and professional with residents, staff and visitors. We are super happy with Meadow Brook!
February 2022
I wanted to say how wonderful Meadow Brook has been for my Relatives who live there. They live them like family! Wanted to especially thank the executive director Mauree and the move in coordinator Clay. They go above and beyond!
February 2022
While I have little experience with other facilities, I am becoming increasingly disappointed with continual changes in staff. Our family has needed to find private help for both mornings and evenings to maintain consistency. While I do not have the expectation of a 5 star restaurant, it is very disheartening at the lack of fresh ingredients and the fact that most in room service is food that has gone cold. There are minimal choices. While the website says the facility is open 24 hours, it is increasingly hard to get a staff member to answer the phone after 8 pm. I have also been told by a staff member that there is only one staff member in the building at night. Surely this isn’t true. While I know little about the Memory Care unit, I do know that in Assisted Living in the evening and night, staff is very hard to find. When new management came in, no one introduced themselves and I am there daily. Is this the norm in the industry?
August 2021
We have toured several places and this one stands out! The moment we walked in we were greeted by an upbeat person at the front desk. As we walked through the community, everyone we encountered was so warm and welcoming. The building was very clean, updated and well maintained. The apartments are beautiful and spacious. There were no odors anywhere like other places we have visited. What stood out the most to us was how the Executive Director of Meadowbrook took the time to meet us and learn about our loved one. We have not experienced this at any other senior living facility. She thanked us for visiting and gave us her card to reach out to her directly if we had any questions.
March 2021
I am so very grateful for Meadowbrook Memory Care! My father was treated with dignity, kindness, & respect during his stay. The staff knew HIM, his likes, his dislikes, his history, his love of family, and they built his plan of care based on these things. This knowledge & understanding combined with empathy & compassion made his transition from his home of 45 years & his wife of 60 the best it could be. I was thankful they kept me informed when I visited & called me with updates. The pandemic lockdown was so difficult. I hated that I couldn’t visit everyday but the management & staff worked to keep everyone safe and assured. (I know this was even more work for them!) They shared sweet stories & updates about my father reassuring me he was safe & cared for. I never once felt like I was a burden to the staff as I called, window visited, or dropped care packages off. I am thankful for all the staff & management did for my father & for my mother & me.

I have visited Meadowbrook several times in the past 2 years. My company has referred prospective residents to this beautiful place because of the great feedback I received. The Director's (and staff's) attention to every aspect has really made the difference.

Our family has had a wonderful experience with this community for the last 2 years. They have a very caring staff and we would recommend this community to our friends.
July 2018
Everyone and everything was top of the line while attending to my 81 year old Father during his 30 day respite care after his rehabilitation and hospitalization due to a fall related to seizures from an inoperable brain tumor. It may have been routine for them, but it seemed to me that the staff took extraordinary measures to ensure he was well attended to and that he stayed on his recovery and medication regimen, despite himself. He is now in an apartment that is near me where I can look in on him daily. He looks very fondly on the days that he spent at Meadow Brook, or in his words, "that resort hotel". When the time comes, Meadow Brook is at the top of my list for future care.

Wonderful Assisted Living, Independent and Memory Care building. Several engaging activities for residents to participate in they will be warn out. Most of the Management has been in the building since ground was broken. One stop building to serve all of your loved ones needs.

Meadow Brook is an amazing facility for memory care and assisted living. The AL building is beautiful, lively, active and fun. The Memory care wing is adorable, homey, comfortable and has a very happy feel. Every staff member I have met is very dedicated to the residents and very committed to going above and beyond. Corrie, the wellness director, looks at every resident as if they are family and will do anything to ensure her residents get the best care possible! Jodie in activities goes above and beyond to provide activities to stimulate, entertain and educate the residents. I highly recommend Meadow Brook Assisted Living and Memory Care!

Wow, Meadow Brook Senior Living Community has been an answer to our prayer for my mom. She has thrived in this community due to the attentive staff, activities, special performances, the safety and respect provided. Initially it can be so emotional moving a parent into a senior community. The staff provided me great advise and suggestions for making this life transition. My mom moved into Assisted Living and enrolled in the Resident's Club when she first moved in. The Resident's Club was the key to acclimating and giving her a new best fun friend with Jodi who heads that program. We have found that the size of the community is ideal for personal individual interaction. Mom is greeted by name, loves the food, her apartment is adorable, she's enjoying visiting with the other residents and staff who are lovely. She has been healthy, I see how the professionals strive to maintain that healthy environment. I have great confidence in the staff, there are many eyes on the residents making sure they are well cared for, while allowing for their independence. The front desk staff provide the first of the friendly interactions. The nursing staff has kept in touch with me about any concerns they see and they followup with what needs to be attended to. I've been very impressed with the nurses, aides, food servers, and the director who recently took my mom to the doctor when I was out of town. That was very gracious of her and so appreciated. My mom has shared with me how happy she is at Meadow Brook, she feels safe and respected. Mom has been a great role model for me, enjoying a wonderful senior community that provides us all with great peace of mind. We are very grateful!

My mother has been in Meadow Brook since June of 2016. She fell and broke her neck and has been getting spectacular care from the staff at Meadow Brook. My mom loves the staff and enjoys the company of the residents. My mom was still working when she fell, so this has been a huge game changer for her. The staff have made the transition a good one. The hope is that she will be strong enough to move into an independent situation down the road. We would recommend Meadow Brook (and have) to all her friends that may need assistance. D. McKay

Meadow Brook is a wonderful place to live and offers many different options for living your best during your retirement years. The staff are very attentive to the needs of the residents, keeping them active, and offering many activities and services to maintain their independence. They are compassionate, friendly, and extremely helpful to everyone. Thank you for being a part of the Fishers community and offering such great service!
January 2017
Placing my mother at Meadowbrook was a very difficult decision for me, but it was a very good decision for her. She has settled in and is so content with all the residents and friendly staff. When I have had to take her out for an appointment or family meal she quickly lets me know she is unhappy and when I get her back I can visibly see a difference in her demeanor. She actually kissed me when we crossed over into her Memory Care section, a move I haven't seen out of her for quite a while, because with her illness she shows very little emotion. My father had been total caregiver for her for a couple of years and when it became too much he told me to find her a place to move. In less than a month he also decided to make the move to the assisted living part of Meadowbrook. He is very content and realizes it was necessary for his day to day living. Meadowbrook has been easy to work with, any problems are usually handled with one phone call. The staff is very caring and truly care about their residents.

Meadowbrook is a wonderful assisted living facility. My friend Kenn has been living there for over a year and receives exceptional care.

This is a first class facility. From the time I walked in, greetings from several staff members: they truly care. Questions about how they can assist me. I watched the seniors living there: all happy and cared for.
