I can't recommend this wonderful facility enough. They literally take care of my father is if he was one of their own. The level of cleanliness and communication is amazing. My father went to Mama Llama once he was unable to be on his own anymore. Since the first day there I knew he was in amazing care. The staff was is constant contact with myself and my family giving us updates on him. I visited the facility from time to time and everything was always a pleasure when going. I never had to worry while he was there, I knew he was in good hands. I highly recommend this ALF. As I know trusting strangers with your family members may be hard; but they treated my father like he was family.

I found Mama llama by chance, I looked high and low for residence for my mother for assisted-living. She was in a larger facility, and I found that she more or less got lost in the mix. Since putting her in Mama llama 3 months ago She has grown to feel comfortable In her new. She has made friends and knows that this is the best place for her. As far as I’m concerned, it is by far A+ with me. Arnold and Michelle are very dedicated along with Kelly and Leilani. The whole staff is excellent. I would recommend this residence highly and now I have peace of mind that my mother is well taken care of.

When it came time to move my mom into a smaller, more specialized assisted living facility for her late-stage dementia, I couldn’t have made a better choice than Mama Llama. From day one, I knew she was exactly where she needed to be. Owners Arnold and Michelle and administrator Kelly set the tone for everything this place represents ” and that tone is warmth, compassion, and genuine dedication. The entire staff carries that same heart, caring not just for the residents but truly caring about them. My mom is tended to with patience, kindness, and dignity every single day, and that means everything to a family entrusting someone they love to another’s care. What sets Mama Llama apart is the boutique, home-like atmosphere. It feels like a home. The smaller, more intimate setting means the staff truly knows each resident as an individual, and that personalized attention is evident every time I visit. For anyone whose loved one needs around-the-clock care ” especially for something as complex and tender as late-stage dementia ” I cannot recommend Mama Llama highly enough. Knowing my mom is safe, loved, and well looked after brings me more peace than I can express. Our family is so grateful.

My siblings & I struggled with placing my Mom, who has advanced Parkinson’s disease, but insisted she was still able to live independently despite multiple falls & hospitalizations. We feel like Mama Llama was an answer to our prayers. Our Mother has received the most compassionate & professional care I’ve ever witnessed. My Mom struggled with the transition from independent to assisted living and this weighed heavily on my family, but Mama Llama made all the difference and went above and beyond to make her feel comfortable and part of a community! We feel incredibly blessed to have found Mama Llama! The owners treat us like family, and for the first time, I am truly comfortable with my grandmother’s care. They create a home-like environment that everyone deserves in their final years, emphasizing dignity, respect, and individuality. The staff is pleasant, always ready to help when needed, and promotes community through engaging activities while ensuring safety and comfort. Terrible management. Do NOT trust this facility with your loved ones unless you want to deal with an incompetent admin team. Management makes promises they don’t keep, and communication is practically nonexistent. [name removed] and [name removed], who manage Mama Llama, have created a toxic culture of avoidance and mismanagement. Repeated errors in billing, care scheduling, and medication tracking were met with excuses rather than solutions. They made promises during our initial meetings that were never kept. I tried several times to have a meaningful conversation about my father’s care plan, and both [name removed] and [name removed] either brushed me off or delegated it to someone else who couldn’t answer questions. Completely unacceptable for a facility that claims to provide quality assisted living.

After an extensive search of assisted living facilities, I thankfully found Mama Llama Memory Care (Morning Glory location) for my 92-year old Mom who suffers with dementia. Mama Llama is as close to having my Mom at home as I could have prayed for. Arnold & Leilani (owners) are professional, skilled, & responsive to all her needs & communicate wonderfully with me to make sure she is cared for in every aspect. Additionally, Michelle & the staff are attentive, loving & treat my Mom as a member of the family. The facility is clean & looks like a well-kept home & I could not be more pleased with Mama Llama. 5 stars is not good enough! Highly recommend!!

Outstanding Care for my mother. When we started to consider long term assisted living care for my mother with dementia, we wanted a local, friendly facility that my mother could easily transition to. we found that at Mama llama in Wellington! The owners, Arnold and Leilani are always available should I have a question or a follow up. The care has been fantastic! They even visited my Mom when she was in the hospital! i can't thank them enough for the ongoing support they have been providing now for 3 plus years. With much love and respect!

Rate increase of 300 a month last December- new ownership as of January 2025. It was clean. In my opinion Allison Underwood was the person who made everything special. She left, as did Rosie , as did a number of residents.(my mom moved as well).

It was with a heavy heart that I made the decision to move my father and step mom to Mama Llama, but it was the best one. The entire staff including the cook are all amazing. The amount of love, care and attention they receive is heartfelt. The fun activities and physical therapy scheduled for the residents is truly a great way to keep them active, moving and their brain stimulated as well. Arnold, the owner is caring and hands on. He sends me videos of them unexpectedly, and it makes my day. I visit often and at different times of the day, the facility is always clean, smelling fresh and my parents well groomed and always in great spirits. I really appreciate each and every staff member, and I wholeheartedly recommend Mama Llama to anyone who is looking for a loving, safe and warm home for their loved one.

Our mom resides at Mama Llama in Wellington. She is happy and secure in her surroundings. The staff is caring and patient and the ALF is bright, homey and clean. There are fun activities, games, crafts, movies, bingo, etc. for residents. The food is made fresh each day and is wonderful! Visiting is easy, we go any time without notice. The staff sends videos and keeps in touch. Our mom is safe and happy living here.

Mama Llama is a very warm and welcoming. The staff is more than wonderful. They cater to their residents. My mom has been there for a few months now and she loves it. She calls this place her home. Everyone is wonderful. If you were considering a place for your mom or dad consider Mama Llama.

We just placed my 94 year old mother in Mama Llama. As would be expected, she immediately became disoriented, confused, and depressed. Which made us doubt our decision to move her in. Change is very difficult for all, but especially for a 94 year old who's been independent her whole life. Arnold and he's family have been the difference in making this more of a success then the failure we were fearing. They have worked with my mom to keep her engaged in activities, and keeping her mind active. The staff is attentive, the newly added activities team keep the residents engaged in all sorts of fun stuff. They have constantly sent us updates on how my mother is doing, in other words, they don't just place her in a corner and walk away. Mama Llama owners and staff have fostered a very safe, fun community feeling in their establishment. I would highly recommend looking into Mama Llama if you're thinking about an ALF. The place is clean and doesn't have the typical nursing home smell. Clean, safe, home-like environment, is all we can wish for our elderly loved ones to have, and it's here. Amongst more healthy years of course.

My mother in law has been staying at this facility for some time now. It is extremely clean, the staff is responsive and caring and they provide alot of activity for their residents. Through their care she has regained alot more of her independence and mobility as compared to prior assisted living facilities.

I visit a lot of assisted living facilities, and Mama Llama is truly a step above the rest. The place feels warm and welcoming, not cold or clinical like some others I’ve been to. It’s clean, well-maintained, and has such a nice, homey vibe. The staff here really care about the residents”you can tell just by watching how they interact. They’re kind, attentive, and go out of their way to make sure everyone is comfortable and happy. The residents seem genuinely content, which says a lot about the care they’re getting. I also love how much thought has gone into the little details, like the outdoor spaces and fresh meals. It’s clear they’re not just running a business”they’re creating a place where people can thrive. If you’re looking for a great assisted living option, you should definitely check out Mama Llama. It’s one of the few places I’ve been that truly feels like home.

The rooms were bright and clean. What we asked for was cordially provided and more. The food was very accommodating for our uncle who was having swallowing issues. The staff was very attentive and loving to our dear uncle. My uncle felt cared for and appreciated for who he was. It's a really nice set up all around.

Incredibly caring, friendly, sweet people staffing and management. Facility is VERY clean, bright, smells good (important if you've toured assisted living facilities). Fees are reasonable, as are accommodation to diet and personality. We HIGHLY recommend this community.

It has been one year since my Mom moved to Mama Llama from another, much larger facility where she had been struggling. The improvement in her attitude and physicality is a testament to the excellent care she has received since the transition. In addition, the staff and management are thoughtful people and respond quickly and professionally to requests. Five stars!!!

My mom has been at Mama Llama for only about 6 weeks now but I (and my family) really like it here. My mom gets more attention, better care, and is much more active. She is cared for by the kindest and helpful caregivers. The administrator and owner are super to work with too. Very pleased with Mama Llama so far. I would definitely recommend this smaller assisted living facility to anyone who requires this type of care. Thank you, Mama Llama. Adding to this review about 5 months later: my mom lived at Mama Llama for 5 months until she passed away. During this time, Mama Llama treated my mom with incredible respect, took time to enjoy her sense of humor, and gave her the best daily care. The staff at Mama Llama genuinely cares for the residents which brought joy to my mom's heart as well as me and my family. I would highly recommend Mama Llama to those looking for a smaller, more intimate facility. Thank you Mama Llama for being there for my mom when we really needed you. Many fond memories!!

Mama Llama isn’t like other assisted living facilities. The warmth you feel from the staff & its leaders is exceptional. We would’ve never imagined such a seamless transition for our 90 year old mom who was with us for almost 5 years. My mother was combative, unhappy, refused to shower & eventually made our home life with my wife, 22 yr old daughter & 14 year old son, almost unbearable. She’s been happy at Mama Llama since the 1st morning she woke there. Incredibly not fighting showers, she’s interacting with the nurses & the residents. It warms our hearts to know she’s happy! My almost 95 year old mother in law came to Mama Llama after a month in another facility that was horrible. She wanted to die. They kept her drugged, never put her hearing aids in so she could hear and she didn't receive meals she could eat. Mama Llama is like being home. She's happy, she can speak again and hear and has been active. The staff is friendly and caring and I urge anyone who needs it to go.

I’m writing this review, without any embellishments, only based upon my personal experience and observations. I thank God every day that I made a right decision and placed Mom in Mama Llama facility. My Father and I, we took care of Mom with Alzheimer’s disease and severe osteoporosis for 3.5 years. Last year my Father passed on and 2 weeks after his death my Mom fell down. At that time I was in the hopes to hire a live -in help and both of us continue to take care Mom at home. Unfortunately this was not the case. She required constant care, that I came to realization, it would be impossible for me to give her adequate care. I found Mama Llama facility that was close to me and did not have institutional environment . This was a blessing! Actually Mama Llama has a home away from home feeling. Very clean and lovely rooms. Residents eat together at the tables and served with home made meals- family style. They have activities , beautiful court yard with fountain, gazebo and surround sound, that my Mom very much enjoy. On her good memory day she told me I like it here Every resident receives individual care, on one to one bases. The staff is utmost attentive , compassionate to all their needs with superb care. The staff has been very responsive to any of my concerns too. When I come and visit my Mom, I see her happy, peaceful and content . I see this not only with my mom, but noticed all the other residents seemed to be relaxed and happy. Love the atmosphere, they encourage all residents to get out and join together. Now I have much less stress knowing that my Mom is getting excellent care. I would give them 10 out of 10 on every aspect of their care and highly recommend Mama Llama facility. What makes this place different from others is the way they treat their residents. They have many activities like bingo, arts and crafts, dancing etc. They also read and discuss newspaper articles. You can tell they actually care about the well-being of the residents.

Since moving my aunt into MamaLlama assisted living facility, I could not be happier. They are a smaller facility which focuses on attention to detail. Allison the head nurse and all the staff are outstanding and very caring. They really get to know the patients and their individual needs. They never hesitate to communicate with you. It is like home to my aunt, and I cannot thank the owner Guy enough for providing such a wonderful facility for the elderly in need.
