I had the pleasure of visiting Trustwell Living in Overland Park and couldn't have been more impressed by the experience. As a person who has worked in senior living for almost 20 years, my standards are high. This community goes beyond my greatest expectations. The seasoned executive director Mary has great knowledge of senior care in both the areas of assisted living and memory care. She truly runs the community and cares for the residents and staff like they are her own family. The building was impeccably clean, and staff members were all attentive to their tasks and enthusiastic about the care and services they provide. I was especially impressed with how engaged the residents in memory care were. This is a community with both incredibly high standards and heart. I would encourage a visit whether you are seeking assisted living or memory care.

I am above and beyond amazed at this place. I have a loved one currently in memory care with them and the knowledge and the compassion the staff gives is absolutely outstanding. I toured about six or seven places when making this decision, and Trustwell was on a whole other level just at first glance, I was immediately impressed and that has only gone up in the few weeks my loved one has been there. They are patient and understanding, they care for not only your loved one but for you as well! I cannot get over the amount of support they have offered me. This was a difficult decision to make and the staff has been there to put my worries at ease every step of the way. Upon moving my loved one in, I met some others that had multiple family members go to them and they didn't have one bad thing to say! The activity director, Pam is amazing and knows how to keep everyone engaged and keep energies positive. Julie, the health director is amazing at keeping in touch and offering support. And I don't know what I would do without Mary, the executive director. With these three, as well as the other amazing staff members, your loved ones are in the best of care. My loved one (who I knew wouldn't be a big fan of this decision) even admitted just the other day, that she is enjoying it more than she thought she would. They have plenty of activities, they offer family activities as well. The place is beautiful, smells good, and feels homey. I can't say a single bad thing. And if you have any worry or concern, voice them, the staff is with you every step of the way, and they are easy to reach. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone

Every time I walk in to visit, the staff is so friendly. Recently, I needed some help and Brandon V was kind and patient. He saw it through and didn’t once say it was ‘someone else’s job’. We made the right choice!

My Mother lived at Trustwell for 7 years. The staff was attentive and caring. It was remodeled the last year of her residing there. The facility has been updated and is lovely and comfortable as well as inviting. I have recommended Trustwell to others. The Activities director keeps the residence, busy and engaged. She just does a wonderful job.

The care staff is fantastic, Julie leads with compassion and dedication, and Rayal & Cody are some outstanding med techs who always go the extra mile. My son lives at Trustwell and I am very pleased with the care he gets. Trash is picked up daily and he gets excellent weekly maid service. I envy him the delicious food and frequent outings. He is provided a push-button necklace to ask for assistance. At 6’5”, he’s a bundle to pick up when he falls but they have staff to do it. We appreciate all they do.

“My brother has been at Trustwell Assisted Living Overland Park, Kansas for 2-1/2 years. We moved to Trustwell because of Nicole, Marketing Director, and the nursing staff that promised to work with us to provide care needs in the future with family cooperation. This impressed us and was important because changes would be stressful for my brother due to his Parkinson’s. We came to Trustwell without knowing new ownership change. There have been too many changes with the executive director and nursing staff during first 18 months. This caused turnovers with CNA and CMA, and we almost moved due to constant management and staff turnovers. But the current executive director and the nursing staff, that have been in place for the longest duration, have made changes for better. They listened, and most of all, they really want to do right by residents. This is a tough industry, and we have/had friends and family members in other facilities that have similar challenges. Staff at Trustwell are good at listening. We see the staff, from housekeeping and restaurant staff to social director and CNA/CMAs do care for their residents. We appreciate all especially those with big hearts. My brother is doing well. At Trustwell, we are one big family.”

My son performs music each month at Trustwell and I have been so impressed with the quality, care, and creativity at Trustwell. Nancy does an incredible job with diverse and thoughtful activities and you can see the joy it brings to the residents. I’m impressed with how well she and others seem to know each resident and their preferences.

I strongly recommend Trustwell Living of Overland Park. My 92 year-old father has been living there for the past year and a half and has received excellent care. My 91 year old mother will be moving into Trustwell soon. The facility is clean and well managed. Nicole Rojas Vermes is the Community Relations Director and she does a fantastic job. The whole team works well together to give wonderful care to the residents.

My 91- year old father has been living at Trustwell Living of Overland Park for over a year. The facility is well staffed, clean and according to my dad "has delicious food" and he says "there is plenty of it". Nicole Rojas Vermes, the Community Relations Director has gone out of her way to always be available for questions (even on her day off). If Nicole doesn't know an answer to a question, she will find someone who can help us. The transition to assisted living was (initially) very challenging for my dad and the family. Nicole certainly made the transition easier for all of us. The rooms are nice size, clean, bright and the bathroom is large and clean. Other nice amenities -weekly laundry service and residents are provided call buttons for assistance.

My grandpa is currently staying at Trustwell and it has been a wonderful community. The facility is clean, he raves about the food, and he has received great care. Nicole Rojas Vermes, the Community Relations Director, has been particularly helpful when getting him settled and is always so unbelievably kind and patient when answering questions and solving problems that have come up. She has gone above and beyond the call of duty many times during his stay - and it is so appreciated.

Nicole Vermes was outstanding with the tour and interview. It was difficult not to move my sister to that location just because of Nicole. She was very thorough and detailed as well as listened to our needs and concerns. The place where we chose for my sister knew of Nicole and agreed she's the best Community Relations Director in the City. If, I had a business I would hire Nicole immediately. She is a class act. I hope she becomes an administrator in the near future.

Some of these reviews seem older or perhaps past ownership - but I'd like to share that my Mom was here for about 2 months respite stay during a critical time in her care. The place was referred to me by a trusted friend and she could not have been more right. Nicole in Marketing/Admissions did an exceedingly stellar and professional job in helping us to become acquainted and ultimately admitted at the location (on a relatively short timeframe no less)... she was at all times helpful, responsive and knowledgeable about all things my Mom needed help with. Laura the Nursing director was equally helpful in getting my Mom set up & checked in, and eventually working with on transition to a new facility in Florida. The Activities Director and all the staff in the kitchen (Duane), laundry and other services are attentive, caring and helpful (not only to my Mom but other patient interactions I witnessed on a constant basis) - I only hope the leadership/ownership and administrators understand how much effort and care they are putting in ensure they are supported with necessary staff & resources as needed and rewarded accordingly! They are also set up well with an in house PT shop that is coordinated well - and also have hair styling, podiatry and other services on site that are great for the temporary or long term residents. To Nicole, Laura, Thomas, Duane, and the many others - thank you for helping at a critical time for my Mom and family!
