My aunt absolutely loves living at Brookdale Garden Grove, and our family could not be happier with the care and attention she receives. She still talks about Edna's Tea Party that Luz G. put together last month and can't stop saying how beautiful, thoughtful, and sweet everything turned out. She enjoys the food, loves participating in the activities, and is always excited about the upcoming outings. We are especially grateful for the clinical team, who consistently look out for the residents and provide compassionate care, giving our family peace of mind. Every staff member we have met has been friendly, welcoming, and genuinely caring, creating a warm and positive environment that my aunt is proud to call home. Thank you to everyone at Brookdale Garden Grove for making such a positive difference in the lives of your residents and their families.

I recently visited a loved one at Brookdale Garden Grove and had a really great experience. They had a wonderful and informative Alzheimer's Education Lecture that really gave everyone a better understanding of Alzheimer's and the progression. Bri, the Executive Director, introduced herself and personally took the time to walk us through the community”she was, easy to talk to, and genuinely caring. You can tell she takes a lot of pride in what she does. The community felt welcoming, and the residents seemed happy and engaged. Definitely a place to consider when moving a loved one to an assisted living setting.

When I was first looking at Assisted Living facilities for my sister, I immediately sensed a special vibe from Brookdale Garden Grove. Now that she has been living there for more than a year -- first in Assisted Living and now in Memory Care -- I am pleased to say that Brookdale has not disappointed. There is an overall feeling of community and caring for one another that I believe is unique to Brookdale Garden Grove. The care staff is so dedicated and hard-working. Management is responsive and supportive. Everyone -- from the front desk, to maintenance, to meal service, to Executive Director -- knows every resident and their specific needs. It is obvious that they all truly care about the residents, and that is the greatest comfort of all. With a few improvements and some upgrades (already discussed with management), rating might very well be five stars next time.

I have been happy with the care & concern that the staff have shown for my family member in the two years at this facility. I have been contacted immediately when the staff have noticed health changes & we have addressed these concerns with the medical team. I feel safe that my family member is observed daily, is known by all staff & that the medications are monitored by the medical team.

I cannot possibly say enough positive words about our experience in selecting Brookdale Garden Grove for our mom! Literally, from the minute we entered for a tour, everyone was friendly, supportive, and helpful. Every staff member we encountered went above and beyond to make us feel at ease, and we could not have asked for a more thorough and thoughtful presentation about the facility and what it offered. We had a wonderful experience and we knew by the time the tour had completed that we had found an excellent place for our mom.

We recently moved Mom in to Brookdale Garden Grove. From the first appointment to every time we have been there, the staff has always been warm and welcoming - they all make you feel at home and welcomed there. Each staff member that we had encountered was always kind and caring to each of their residents, and that was so key. Not only were they kind to the residents, they were kind to their families that were visiting. The one thing that stood out for us, was that their staff was happy, and that says something about the facility. But, make no mistake, we also ran in to happy residents, and they were more than eager to talk with us, and welcome Mom and us to the Brookdale Family. Happy residents and a happy staff - super key and super important. The staff - from the nurses to the facilities manager are very responsive, not just the needs of their residents and families. We would like to thank Kevin, Brie, Luz, Chef Sam and his cookies, and the rest of the staff there for helping us navigate this process, and also for being so kind and accommodating to even the smallest of our requests and for taking such good care of Mom.

My brother recently moved into this facility. He loves the food here. He was underweight when he came her and has now gained 20 pounds! The environment is warm and friendly. The garden area is lovely and his studio room is spacious. Kudos to Kevin the sales manager for making my brother feel welcome!

I am very impressed with this location. My Dad is now a resident here. The food is good, staff is friendly. Met the director who was very welcoming and I was impressed with her. Cody is awesome. He has gone above and beyond with the help he has provided my Dad and with this transition to Brookdale. Finally I would like to also thank Bri, she has made my Dad feel safe and welcome. She is also to be commented for her above and beyond attention to detail. 9/20/2023. I would like to thank Harjot (Happy) she is very dedicated, caring and helpful with my dad and other residents. She should be commended for a job well done.

Visited today with my mother for a tour and was greeted by Luz, a warm kindhearted receptionist, very polite. Director Jeri Miles was very professional and extremely helpful along with sales team Cody and Kelly. They answered all the questions we had and were very informative. Residents were happy and looked well looked after by the caregivers. Staff were professional and polite to everyone. The renovations in the courtyard look wonderful not to mention the food looks amazing! They have their own diner with servers, table side service and if needed they also do room service. Definitely considering Brookdale.

A must place to visit if you are looking for a forever home for your loved one. Received a warm and friendly greeting by the staff. From the Executive Director, Sales, and the staff that I met everyone had a smile! I visited during lunch and let me tell you the food looked amazing! I didn’t feel pressured or felt that I needed to make a decision right away. The community has a warm and inviting feeling. I saw the courtyard’s renovations and I can already see it’s going to turn out beautiful. Thank you for the tour and definitely considering.

Everyone here deserves five stars - I inspected 16 various facilities before choosing Brookdale. Not the cheapest, but proof that you get what you pay for. Thanks 2 the staff (specifically Luz, Rudy, Francisco, Patti & Jeri) as well as the residents who have made MOM feel so welcome. This was intended as a 90 day respite care for me (sole caregiver for last 8yrs.). Mom has asked if we can afford for her to stay longer (Yea!!!). At 94yrs old Mom’s quality of life has Improved GREATLY (& now, so has mine). She Eats Better, Sleeps Better, has become a Social Butterfly & has taken up Hobbies (before it was Eat, Sleep, & Poop - that last activity was unpredictable). Brookdale will eventually be my future home too.

Mary (the former activities director of 21 years) immediately made us feel at home! All the residents we passed by said hello and let us know how well they like it there. We met the chef and tasted his delicious dessert for that night. The front reception staff know who the residents are and who comes to see their loved ones regularly! My dad, in the 3 months he's been here, has made a few friends. Enjoys playing bingo and some of the card games. He calls it home now. ™

My mother passed away and we had to find a place for dad. He was feeling very alone and my husband and I work all day (not able to have him at home due to his need for bathroom help). We took a quick tour and deeply enjoyed our experience. The food was fantastic, the residents were extremely sweet, and the community just looks like a little oasis. Pop has called Garden Grove home for a few months now and we're so happy. Mary keeps us updated with photos and it's extremely affordable for what the rest of OC charges. Highly recommend this place.

I've lived here 6 months. I like the location, the area, the neighborhood and there isn't a lot of graffiti in this section. We have plenty of stores around to walk to and see. Even though you'll hear some complaints, I can see the people here really are trying to help. They work to try and do their best.

Brookdale has been a great experience for my 100 year old grandmother. I was terrified to have her live anywhere but with me but I didn't have the space or resources to keep her safe anymore. Brookdale has made her new home welcome. It's been a year now and she fits in nicely! The care team is AMAZING! My family member had been a resident nearly 10 yrs at this facility, in which they made the decision, nearing 90, that an assisted living would be the best environment.’• One comment I hear often is how enjoyable being able to help with meal planning is for those who want a say in what is served. The staff is always friendly and saying hello. Often I feel like they treat me and my son like family (since we are always there). The involvement and volunteer opportunity helps the community greatly. Also I often hear stories of the older gentleman who are such charmers and the ladies and the catty behaviors some have... it sounds like the dorms at college. And YES some of the residents still do the old sock on the doorknob routine. I am beyond grateful to this facility and the only comments against them would be that it is expensive! (Any other suggestions have already been made to the people in charge) The life is what you make of it and many people learn to love the daily interactions this place offers!

Most of the staff are good, caring people. I really liked the set up and the fact my mom could keep her cats. We did have an issue with theft so can't give them more than three stars.
