We recently moved my mom from Legacy Assisted living to a Memory Care and it was an incredibly hard decision to make because of how hard the staff woks at Legacy to support the residents. Each staff member that worked with my mom did so with such respect and love. They also supported me as my mom's health declined over time through many conversations, text messages, and phone calls at all hours of the day and night. My mom enjoyed getting to know other residents, spending time together at meals, walks in the beautiful courtyard, watching the ducklings nesting in the courtyard grow in the spring, attending happy hours, and listening to the many performers who shared their music with the residents. I will always feel indebted to the care the incredible staff at Legacy gave to my mom for two and a half years. Thank you!

We recently visited Legacy Senior Living for lunch and a tour. LOVED IT! We were welcomed by everyone! We had a wonderful visit with the Dining Director during our lunch and several residents stopped to say hi and introduce themselves and to compare pet pictures! Maintenance was superb... felt like we were in a new building even though it's 24yrs old. We were checking out an empty apartment being made ready for a new resident and noticed the furnace filter needed to be changed. Nicole submitted the need immediately and was informed that it was done before we left!! We were overjoyed with how pet friendly they are since we are dog lovers ourselves. We hope that in a few years, they'll still be raising ducklings in their pond! We're looking forward to this being our new home in a few years when we're ready to make that move. Thank you all for such a warm welcome!!

Unfortunately, our family member needed a higher level of care than what was available at Legacy Point so we were not able to utilize their services. If you or a family member need this level of care, I would strongly suggest that you tour the facility and see for yourself.

The Legacy Senior Living Community in Iowa City, Iowa, is a welcoming and friendly place. During my first visit to the community several months ago, I was impressed with the friendliness of the staff and residents. Many of the residents went out of their way to share with me how happy they were at Legacy and some expressed that they wished they had moved in sooner than they did. The staff at Legacy encouraged me to come and stay in the community to experience what it might be like if I moved to Iowa. The guest quarters was a very comfortable two bedroom, two bath apartment. I stayed for three days and during that time I ate my meals in the dining room, attended exercise classes and other scheduled activities. I was included by the residents at all meals as they shared their moving and settling in experiences. The meals were varied and the food was good. I attended a residents meeting where upcoming activities were discussed and where residents were given time to share their concerns with the staff. As an observer I felt that the administration was in tune with the residents and the residents felt they were heard and problems were addressed in a timely manner. I am still on my discovery journey as I look for a senior community. Legacy is still a place I could see myself living.

We had to put my brother in Legacy Pointe because of his dementia. The staff there has been absolutely awesome to my brother who can be very difficult to deal with. I did a lot of shopping for the right place and I found it. Anyone over 60 would enjoy life here. This is an old review but it still stands today. I needed a place for a short time as I wasn’t able to be totally alone and was awaiting surgery. I went through a rough surgery and recovery. This was the perfect place to do that. I wasn’t alone and the staff kept an eye on me the entire time. Then the time came that I was well enough to get on with my life. I moved out to a much more independent community but I have kept my friends with Legacy. Even if you need a place for a few months or a few years. This is the place.
