Highlands on the East Side has a fantastic memory care unit. A dear friend of mine went there from another facility. She had a nice room with big sunny windows. The care is outstanding. All of the staff really cared about and loved her. It's a very homey place without the frills of a more expensive facility, and it offers very comfortable activity and dining rooms. They have nice activities every day and some day trips. When my friend became ill and went to the Hospice Hospital several staff came to visit her. They go beyond what is required. I recommend Highlands to anyone who wants to rest assured that thier loved one is safe and cared for.

Despite all our efforts as a family, independent living had become increasingly difficult for our elderly mother. During a hospital stay in March of 2023, a social worker there gave us assisted living information that connected us to the Highlands on the East Side. From our very first meeting and tour with Chloe, we knew then and there that this was far and away the best place for our mother. The team worked with our family closely as financing for the long haul could be challenging and with their efforts, the dream we had for our Mom became a reality. The apartments are spacious, clean and up to date. The staff is more than attentive and engaging with residents who are showered with kindness and smiles. The meals are delicious and served to the residents in a spacious dining room. The activities are plentiful and range from musical events, trivia time, bingo and card games to bus trips to the market, Roger Williams Park, Ziggy's……we could go on and on! The Highlands also has a dedicated memory unit for those who would benefit from that level of care and attention. If your loved one would be in need of assistance to meet their personal needs, the Highlands would definitely be worth your while to investigate further.

The staff at the Highlands were very caring, thorough, efficient and knowledgeable. They helped a referred patient with the admission process and went above and beyond to facilitate the admission so everything went smoothly for the patient who was nervous about the transition. I would highly recommend considering this facility for you or your loved ones.

A beloved family member, aged 69, moved into The Highlands this year. She is thriving! The staff is so Kind and intelligent. They treat her with great respect and caring. They are doing a good job supporting her special health needs and offering activities she enjoys. She loves the food, and her nutritional status is greatly improved. The staff is so amazing. They really care, and they are good problem solvers. She is much happier since she moved in. I am truly grateful.

The Highlands has been the absolute answer to housing and residency for my elderly aunt who is currently turning 93. She loves the facility, receives the best care provided by all the staff, she enjoys her meals of deliciously prepared foods, and she is happy with all that The Highlands has to offer. As her family member responsible for her overall care, I cannot be more pleased and satisfied with everything The Highlands and its staff has done to make my aunt's transition to assisted living a complete success. She feels welcome, safe, and kindly cared for. I would highly recommend The Highlands to any family looking for assisted living care for their loved ones.

The Highlands on the East Side is nothing short of home for my Grandma Pat. COVID times have been tough but the associates are accommodating and make sure to keep everything clean before and after our visit. I have had a guest meal in the past and the food is to die for.

I have visited The Highlands many times over the past 6 years and have worked closely with them in my profession. The staff is always very friendly and welcoming. The food is absolutely delicious and they cater specifically to patients preferences. I am very confident in saying any patients I have referred there are always well taken care of and family members are pleased with their loved ones care as well. It truly is a wonderful facility!

I'm so delighted that I made the decision to move into the Highlands on the East Side. It took me some time to make a decision but now I look back and I should have moved sooner. Love spending time with people my own age and the meals are amazing. There are a lot of programs to keep us busy throughout the day.

Very impressed from the moment we walked through the door. Inviting and home-like, modern, clean and very engaging staff. We liked that it was not overwhelmingly big. Residents seemed very happy and lots of smiles all around. We heard they have an exceptional memory care program and our visit gave us every confidence that was entirely true. Apartments were much bigger than others we visited.
