I have been here for 3 years. The office staff and maintenance crew have been courteous and very helpful. I have a 2-bedroom apartment and have plenty of room.

I was very happy there. The only reason for moving was to be near family. The staff was always kind and helpful and I like the residents and will miss them. There was always plenty to do. The maintenance staff was very reliable, there was never a long wait if I had an issue, it was taken care of quickly

We have plenty of room in our 1-bedroom apartment. We almost never hear anything from neighboring apartments. Our full-size appliances are excellent and well I maintained and having a washer-dryer in the bathroom is a real plus. Free coffee, internet, computer usage, swimming pool and hot tub, activity facilities, and sponsored activities are a plus. The staff is pleasant and helpful.

I moved here the year it opened (2020) and I'm so thankful I did not procrastinate and seized the opportunity when I first toured with Cathy & Wendy. Although some staff has changed over the years, they continue to be very caring and attentive. Cathy's, or one of the other staff, door is always "open". The couple of times I've had a minor issue, (i.e. my front door key hard to turn) maintenance was at my door the same afternoon or the next morning (when the request was made late in the afternoon) The only downside is the parking. My relatives and friends find it difficult to visit because the front is usually all full. I think in hindsight, reserved spots should not have been allowed in the front of the building by residents and should have been made visitor parking only. I think as spots become vacant, they may be remedying this; I hope so. But as far as being a resident, the building is of high quality; and the amenities, social opportunities rival retirement communities where buy-in is required. I highly recommend it!

The interior of the building is lovely. One of our friends said that it was like a 5-star resort! Our 2-bedroom apartment is comfortable with plenty of storage and is spacious and inviting. Wish the balcony was larger. There are plenty of activities if one is so inclined. Our maintenance needs are dealt with quickly and professionally. We are pleased to have made Affinity our home since 2020.

Affinity of Puyallup’s staff, Cathy, reached out to me and was very kind in resolving this issue. Than you Cathy. Original review below has been edited from 1 star to 4.Very unhappy with Affinity of Puyallup. They say one thing to rope you in and then do another. This is elder abuse. My mother, myself and her caregiver were told that since my mother’s house had not sold yet that she would not have to pay rent for March 2021, that if it still had not sold the second month (April) she would pay 25% of the rent, and if it had not sold the third month (May) she would pay 50% of the rent. They made my mother sign the lease by 2/19/21 or she would loose the apartment. A week ago Wendy from Affinity Puyallup told my mother she would come over to collect $50 for the pet rent. When Wendy showed up she confused my mother by telling her she had to pay $550 for March. When my mother asked why she was not able to get a straight answer as to why. In a phone call to Wendy this morning she claims that the free month was February even though my mother did not sign the lease until 2/19/21. Unacceptable to be telling renters one thing and then do another plus have them sign paperwork after the fact to cover your tracks. Unacceptable. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB.
