My husband moved here from another community 3 years ago. The very first benefit was their work at getting him out of his room and engaged in the community. His life has improved so much. Loved the community, but they require him to stand on his own without assistance and thats not possible at this time. I want him to be at a facility that as his health declines he can stay at the same place and thats not possible here.

My mother Dixie was moved to the Life Guidance Center at Atria Virginia Beach following a stroke and diagnosis of dementia. I absolutely cannot say enough nice things about this fine facility. It is beautiful, the staff is kind and loving and most importantly, my mother (though failing mentally) is extremely happy and content. Patients are encouraged to participate in group activities (Mom is now the Bingo Queen!). Moving my mother to Atria is the best decision I have ever made for my sweet mama.

I love living at Atria-Virginia Beach. There is always something going on and things to do. Our cruise director Lisa and her staff always have something for us to do from excerises, crafting, shopping, going out to eat or to the movies ect. The cooks in the kitchen led by our chef Eric do a great job preparing us delicious meals. The dining staff does a wonderful job getting us those delicious meals. The nurses, med techs, and cnas all do a good job with a few that really go above and beyond( Ginny G., Susan, Megan, Josh, Vicky, Jamie). Maintenance does a great job at keeping the building and grounds looking amazing! Our housekeepers to a great job at keeping the inside clean. Bill and Kim do a GREAT job at getting us to the doctor, shopping, or wherever it is we would like to go. We are very lucky to live in such a wonderful place!
