Took a tour of the facility on behalf of my parents. Very welcoming atmosphere. Felt and looked new and clean. Apartments were very spacious. All the residents were friendly. Staff was also very friendly. A special thanks to Veronica for providing the tour!

Jill Daniels with Realty One was the absolutely best realtor I ever had. I am elderly and I have moved more times than I can count. When I put my home up for sale in Spring Texas I just happened to run into her in my neighborhood. I hired her to sell my house. She was so compassionate towards me and she would drop off boxes and tape. She even volunteered to help me pack up a lot of my things. She referred me to a housekeeper to clean before putting my house on the market. Her charge was minimal compared to many bids I had. She is kind and thoughtful. I have had many realtors in the past and she was the very best. I would advise anyone who is interested in selling their house to call her.

Before the virus the service was great! Delivery to my door. Got a menu each week to choose what you want. Housekeeping every week. Since the pandemic a lot has changed as Im sure it has everywhere. We now have limited food delivery and no one can dine in the dining room. They can go to it and order from the prepared food and get it to go, but they must eat in the apartment. We get weekly menus but it says some items may be substituted without notice. We cannot order aka-cart like we could before the virus. We have several residents who have contracted the virus so for now they have suspended all activities and visitors, family and friends. They have locked all the doors except the main entrance. Everyone must wear a mask and upon entering the building they have to get their temperature checked. No more movies in the theater. Im sure that once the virus is under control everything will go back the way it was.

I want to share a special word of thanks to Paul and Hala. This past week my sisters home in Beaumont was flooded. They had nowhere to go for the next few days so they came to Moms beautiful place in Oakpark Retirement Resort. They were there for two days and nights. Upon checkout, she was told that there would be no charge. Paul and Hala, out of the goodness their heart donated the cost of the room. This is a wonderful reflection of their hearts that transcends into the entire community. This place is amazing. If you know of anyone who is ready to take that next step into a retirement community, look no further than Oak Park Retirement Resort. You will not be disappointed.

Our home in Beaumont flooded on 9, 18, 19 and my daughter and I were unable to get home for a few days so we came to Oak Park where my mom lives. We were able to use their guest suite and they fed us 3 meals a day complimentary! The staff and residents couldnt have been more kind and compassionate. Im so grateful to them!

Oak Park is phenomenal!. Im speaking as one who has a loved one in the facility, and I have researched until I was blue in the face to find somewhere that was a mix of the things she needed, and what she could afford. Katy area senior living is very very expensive. Hands down, this place has the most bang for the buck in the Katy area, and if you are considering a home for yourself or for a senior in your life, PLEASE go see for yourself how nice it is. Although they do not provide nursing assistance, the residents are able to bring in their own helpers, or can use the company that the apartments work with. A lot of the residents use helpers to provide safety with bathing, ext. First off, the staff is also exceptional, all of them. They are all extremely caring, talkative, and accommodating to all the residents and their guests alike. Im there a lot, as my mom is in a wheelchair, and I take care of all her needs. She has lived there 8 months now, and I have never had a interaction than was anything less than top notch. Second, its all bills paid, and all meals are included, and prepared by an actual chef! They are REALLY good, and they encourage other family members to come eat with the residents (its only $8, less than the cost of a fast food lunch!) There is also weekly housekeeping and bed linen changes, transportation to doctor appointments twice a week, and ACTIVITIES every day. The activity director is full of energy, and she works her tail off to keep things interesting. My mother has made so many new friends, and again, the residents that live there embrace newcomers with open arms. Everyone is genuinely friendly, not fake friendly, as I have seen at other places. The bottom line is this, once you have most of your daily needs taken care of, and you are in a stimulating environment with people that you come to call family, life is happy!
