The Golden Palms Assisted Living team is absolutely wonderful. The executive director, Norma is caring and compassionate, Linda is amazingly capable and multi tasks with ease, the med techs and CNA's are team players, and we love them, they are so kind and caring. We are so thankful for and all of the wonderful staff that care for my mum, they are absolutely amazing. The kichen staff makes quality food, high end restaurant style, and I am so happy when Mom leaves me a bite to taste! Thank you Golden Palms Assisted Living Team!!

There are numerous options for facilities to place your loved one for long term or short term care. Golden Palms Retirement Center & Healthcare is one of the best. The nursing, clinical and therapy staff go above and beyond to take care of all expectations and needs. The facility has great customer service, very friendly and a genuine caring spirit for their residents. Highly recommend!!!

I would recommend Golden Palms for your stay with any care you need! My husband was in Golden Palms for 10 days for IV Antibiotics and the staff was AMAZING!!!!! The Housekeeping staff was always asking if we needed anything or wanted anything. The Kitchen staff came in and asked what my husband liked and didnt like to they could tailor his meals for him and the food was so good!If you have any reason to need Rehab or Retirement, this is the place to go!

Very effective staff. Laundry is done almost daily for patients. Good procedures practiced when flu is detected among patients. Staff is very receptive to patients and families. They lost my fathers dentures (he placed them on the food tray) and they are taking care of the cost for new ones. The therapists identified my Dads mental decline rapidly and moved him to the next door hospital immediately. The social worker listens and works with the family. The business manager is not pushy and does not sugar coat the age of the facility. Outcomes from Golden Palms are better than average.

This place is awesome I love the people the place is just so nice and comfortable Im really planning to take my mom for a tour to check it out I know she will love it. Also receptionist Mrs. Cristina was of so much help she got me all informed about their place. Im so thankful great people great staff and smiles everywhere you know you are in the right place!

My mom has been there almost a month now. The staff is very professional, friendly, knowledgeable, patient n nice. Its very clean. My mom has been here several times from 2017 through 2020. Each time has been a pleasant experience for her and for our family knowing shes in good hands and receiving great care. Food is great there, place is clean, grounds are beautiful. Therapy team is amazing. After her stroke PT, OT, and speech, got her stronger again. Thank you so much GP staff for the great service.

I do not think I have ever had this much fun working in a place and I have been cooking and managing kitchens for years. The Staff is wonderfully kind to one another. It shows that they care deeply about their jobs and the residents and patients they serve. Last Weekend we had a Talk Like a Pirate Dinner in the Chandelier Room and a Pizza party for Palm Suites. Next Month will feature Golden Palms Anniversary, Octoberfest and a Halloween Dinner. No wonder Golden Palms is first choice when someone wants to experience Independent or Assisted living in Harlingen.

Dropped in to visit my niece who was recuperating from hip surgery. Facility looked fairly clean; however, water was dripping from ceiling in one spot in hallway. Maybe an a/c issue? Niece benefited from her 2 week rehabilitation therapy. Therapy room was well equipped and well lighted. Extra activities for patients are held like bingo, flea market, formal dining evening. A place I would personally like to have my therapy done. But her roommate needed to be fed and, even after nurse button was pushed, no one showed up. Family members should be more attentive of their loved ones if special care is needed because most hospitals are short staffed and nurses are overworked.

PT/OT were outstanding. Did alot of good for me. Only complaints with nursing is sometimes you had to wait 60 to 90 minutes for pain medication.they were not in a hurry to answer call lights.Some of the staff were rude and could tell they did not like their jobs. Some administration hadn't a clue what they were they were doing and only willing to listen too one side. Most food was good. Clean rooms. All in all I would recommend if you need short term rehab.

A clean fresh building for Seniors. One day I hope I can work in the kitchens there. They look amazing! When I was younger my fathet had to be there to recover and everyone looked happy and healthy.

Great nursing/rehab! Staff is friendly and well trained. I recommend Golden Palms for anyone needing short term rehab/nursing services. They also offer assisted and independent living.

Great place nurses are amazing caring and rehab is extreamly beneficial... expertise is stroke, cardiac, infectious disease iv therapy, peritoneal dialysis, wound care certified nurses and doctor following weekly. Great food

My husband has been here for over a month. Rehab is great no complaints. Nursing staff is nice and food for patients is good. I only had one issue and that was bathing. It really needs improvement. He was getting bed baths and the girl was going to use the same wash cloth that she had used on his feet on his genital area but I stopped her. The only shower he had, when he came back his genital area had not been properly washed. It still had powder and old rash cream on it. So I had to be around to make sure he was bathed correctly. Dont get me wrong some ladies know what they are doing and did a great job bathing it was just one or two.This last time I bathed him the tech just dumped everything on the chair, left me hot water and never came back to check if I needed help . Bathing was a big issue for me. Everything else was good. Nurses were nice, staff was nice and Rehab was awesome! I would recommend Golden Palms Rehab
