My 90 year old Mother was EVICTED with 7 days notice from The Wellington at North Richland Hills, TX. She was given an Eviction Letter on August 5th with a Termination date of August 12th. Granted, she suffers from Alzheimer's and dementia but imagine our SHOCK to get a 7 day termination notice! The management at The Wellington is cruel and callous, and did not care at ALL this was a major hardship for our family as everyone works full-time and cannot drop everything to move our Mother! My Mom had paid her August rent in full, $2160. We were not able to move her until August 27th because it took a couple weeks to have her assessed and accepted into a new Memory Care facility. Sam Payne, the Executive Director at The Wellington, promised us he would refund any remaining rent based on my Mother's move-out date. She is on a fixed income and cannot afford to pay double rent to 2 expensive facilities (the old one and the new one!) Mr. Payne is offering to only reimburse us for 2 days rent, when it should be 5 DAYS RENT TOTALING $348 plus $80 for unused meal tickets for a grand total of $428 REFUND. Again, my 90 year old Mother lives on a fixed income and $428 is a lot of money for her! We filed a complaint with the BBB to get reimbursed for 5 days rent from August 27 to August 31, as she moved to her new facility on August 27 and we are still waiting for a response from The Wellington. So far all we've heard is.....crickets..... I liked The Wellington at first, it's remodeled and clean and the rent is reasonable for Independent Senior Living. However, when things go bad, you've been warned that dealing with their management team is a living nightmare!

My daddy loves living at the Wellington! The staff is so kind and loving with the residents. Angela tries to do such fun activities, even when limited by Covid restrictions. And the staff has done a wonderful job trying to keep the residents safe and healthy during the pandemic. I can rest easier knowing Daddy is in a great community.

sense of self, within 15 minutes of my residence. When my Mom suffered a medical emergency two years ago, I knew that after she completed rehabilitation, living an hour away, alone, was not going to be an acceptable situation for her or myself, should anything happen. I started an extensive search of various properties that were in an acceptable proximity to me. My main requirement was that it could not resemble a nursing home, in management or staffing, or environment. I wanted to find an exceptional Senior Living Center, one that concentrated on Living. I wanted a center that could provide her all the necessities, while providing her support to go it alone, if she so desired. When I found the Wellington, after several tour stops, driving up, immediately felt a difference. First, I did not have to plan to go to the property. Due to multiple options of driving over I could get there, almost avoiding any significant traffic. When I walked through the door, I was welcomed by a comfortable, if not homey and open sitting area. Absent was the clinical smell of disinfectant cleaners. The Staff greeted me and conducted their tour, much in the same way a Groom introduces himself to the father of an intended bride. It felt right. My Mom did not accompany me on the tour, so I needed to view the tour through her eyes, asking, Will she be happy here?. Two years later, taking privilege I can say Yes. Since moving into the Wellington, my Moms personality has grown, her sense of humor has returned, and her health has exceeded the point of where it was prior to her event. She has gotten to the point of being disappointed if she walks less than five (5) miles a day. She has friends and is part of a community. Moving into a Senior Living Center is never a perfect replacement for living at home, but the pluses of the Wellington far outweigh the minuses. Is the Wellington perfect? No, no one cooks Dressing like my Mom, but that is an acceptable circumstance for her to be comfortable and happy. The Wellington of North Richland Hills is exactly what I need it to be, because this is my Mom.

I am so thankful for The Wellington at NRH, where my mom feels comfortable, valued, engaged, cared for, and at home! The activity director, Angela, works hard to build relationships with the residents and plans activities based on their interests, skills, and personalities.

My mom, Minnie Belle, lived at the Wellington for about four years prior to her passing. She loved it. She loved the staff, the other residents, and the freedom associated with her living there. Covid19 screwed up a lot of things, but the policies at Wellington did their best to minimize the disease to their population. I heartily recommend the Wellington to anyone looking for a carefree place to live.

The Wellington of North Richland Hills may have been a nice place at one time. Now it is out dated over priced the staff is very unprofessional .The dietary department is always short of staff .They have employees that are rude unprofessional just there for a check. They have residents that clearly need more assistance than they provide. But as long as they can pay they can stay.No regard for there needs.Doing the right thing is meet with retaliation. The Director of the facility sweeps misconduct under the rug.Either they are unable to manage or just don't care. There are to many retirement community- assisted livings that offer so much more.for the price do some real research.

My grandmother lives at the Wellington. She has been there for 4yrs. I was reluctant at first but the Dr, after her hip surgery suggested she be around other seniors to boost her spirits and she would need assistant living. The staff recommended a caregiver that has been with the Wellington for 13yrs. My family including my grandmother absolutely adore her. Connie goes above and beyond for my grandmother and my family. Connie really made the difference. If youre considering the Wellington you have to consider Conne

I have a family member who's lived here for several years and have never heard any complaints from them. The staff is always very friendly and helpful and the building has a very homey feeling. love hearing the tenants having fun pitching washers. As far as the negative comment made by Norma Vargas; it sounds like a biased review. I have never seen this person in the building or have ever heard of her. Maybe she's a disgruntled ex-employee.

The Wellington (The Wellington at North Richland Hills) is where I ended up for my mom. My mom is liking it a lot. The rooms are spacious at this community. They have an exercise room, a little beauty shop, and barbershop. We ate lunch once, and the food was good. They have lots of different activities going on.

The Wellington was nice, but it had an institutional feel and was not as homey. The apartments were nice, but a little bit more expensive and not in my dad’s budget. The staff seemed pretty nice.

We did get my mom into a community called The Wellington at North Richland Hills. The facility had more activities, and the people there were more friendly and outgoing. When you go there to visit, they seemed to be having a very good time. They weren’t just sitting there, droopy eyed. They were visiting one another, and they were engaged in activities. They would stop us in the hallway and introduce themselves. They would ask what we were doing there, we said that we are visiting my mother, and they said they loved to have her. There was a lot of personal interest from the residents, and that just really impressed me. The staff was very helpful and excellent. When we walked around with them, they knew the names of the residents. The residents would call them by names. They would comfortably interact with the people who were out and about. You could see there was an affection between both resident and the staff member. The one that we got for mother was a 1-bedroom with a kitchenette, a very nice size. The bathrooms have all of the necessary accoutrements for someone who needs aids and things. The bedroom is large; she has no problem getting around her furniture, even when she needs a wheelchair. There is an excessive amount of space, and there’s a walk-in closet. It’s very well setup for her needs. They have board games and cards, and I noticed after dinner there are about four or five tables were people would get together and play several different type of card games in one of the activity rooms. There is a room designated for movies. They also have a Wii setup in there, and they have Wii bowling that they take very seriously. Every week, there’s root beer floats and they have another activity room where they have a sole kitchen up there. If someone wants to go up and make something for a group of their friends or the family, then they go up. There is everything that you need. We have been very surprised by the quality of the food, and we asked the residents before my mother actually moved in. On several occasions I went over there, and we had lunch with one of the residents. My husband and I had dinner and lunch there. Each unit has a little porch so that the residents can get out and on to their porch. The outside and the front has a long porch with some lovely furniture, and we’ve been having some really lovely days here. We normally see two or three people sitting on the porch. That has just been totally different.

We got my mother into the Wellington. It seemed cleaner. The lighting was better, and the rooms were bigger. I enjoyed talking with the people that run the place. The staff there is excellent. I've eaten there twice, and it is fine. The food is good. They did discuss the activities, and they have quite a few. They go out and take trips. They have transportation. They have a large room with a piano. They have music there once or twice a month for people that come in to play the piano and sing. The residents sing along with them. They have a room for arts and games. We found that it was more economical than others, and there was a lot of feedback on people that really loved it there and enjoyed living there. We looked at other places that were assisted living and rehab. They smelled, the lighting was bad, and I didn't thought it was appropriate.

I can highly recommend The Wellington of NRH. Our family toured the facility last week and we were extremely impressed. All the staff was friendly and had been employed there for a long period of time The dining area was very open and reminded us of a resort like a atmosphere. We feel very comfortable for our mother to come and live there.
