Christian Care Was A Great Place To Work , I love the Residents and Staff and The Chef Was Amazing I left because the lies with the recent manager that is now Gone because of lies and Stories thank God !! but the kitchen Was very Clean and coworkers was Wonderful chef Was Very amazing , kind and helpful. I miss the pies and and cakes chef made she was such a good cook ! I would recommend this facility that negative comment was lies and thats good the bad apple is gone . Great Job CHRISTIAN CARE !

I've worked here for over a year now. I was surprised to read 2 recent negative comments. Everything on those negative comments are not true. It was sad to see that. Christian Care has been going through some changes and everything has gotten better since they have weeded out the bad staff. Other employees have taken upon themselves to lie about Christian Care. Our chef is wonderful and she puts her heart into everything she does. She is a great chef and baker. She CARES about what is being served to our residents. Our Chef serves GREATNESS!! If weren't able to have fresh produce with our main vendor. She made sure we got FRESH produce from a different one twice a week now. We care about the residents and we want what's good for the residents and the Community. Chef has been a wonderful boss and our E.D is a great too, he is caring and he is hands on in every department. I wish all the past employees the best. It was shocking when I read the lies they said about our community especially our Chef. It was immature to spread lies just because they weren't a good fit. We are a GREAT Community!! This a GREAT place to work this a GREAT place to live. Our CHEF is AWESOME Our E.D is Caring and Professional. We put our residents first!! ❤

I was an employee here. Cnas do neglect residents in Al. (There is a lot of verbal abuse to the residents) The dinning department has poor quality of food (chef ignores serving rotten chicken and other issues just like this) and the kitchen is full of roaches and mold. The dinning staff is under the influence while serving residents. It is “I’m desperate, just don’t harm.” I wouldn’t recommend this place.

My Mom moved to Christian Care Communities at Lakewood. I was nervous - how would she take to the new lifestyle after living so long in her own house? SHE LOVED IT from the very start! She began discovering new friends and old connections literally in the first week. When with advancing age she needed an Assisted Living situation, she could stay where her friends were because Lakewood is also home to Cummings Assisted Living. They took great care of my Mom and even protected her through the Covid pandemic, and when her health finally failed, the Hospice unit protected her from pain until the very end. I am very grateful to CCC at Lakewood for creating such a place for her.

This place us good place to work, but the staff needs to be replaced all but a few while working at Christian care I witnessed a lot of things that were not acceptable and very inappropriate. The mishandling of the food and the elderly patients. The nasty talk about the patients. The kitchen is nasty roaches in the walk in on the corners theres caked up mold theres a lot of drama. The boss Roy hes very unprofessional and rude. The staff picks over the food that is being served to the patients the patients are not being handled with care.

The care they receive is one of a kind. The leadership is exceptional and the compassion the caregivers have shines. The longevity of the employees was important to me for placing my dad and I am so glad he was loved well here.

My friend works there at the business team. She says such great things about the leadership, employees, and how everyone truly cares. I have been able to visit her at the locations and always see smiling faces and clean environments. Impressed by the company and the realness I see in those who work there. They have a wonderful assisted living facility. All the nurses and staff are so friendly and welcoming. They have greatmeals and great activities for their residents. It feels very close knit here and I feel safe knowing that my loved one will be taken great care of!

Great independent living facility. There are lots of activities planned to help keep the residents active if desired. The dining room and food is great, too!

This modest community has been here since the 70s, and has been added on to many times, and is currently experiencing a re-purposing under new management as part of the Christian Care Centers across the Metroplex.The prices are lower than many retirement places, making it attractive for those with limited income.For the most part, it is well run, and clean. As a resident moves out, the place is usually renovated.A 24 hour gated entrance helps provide some security for the residents.There are a number of ways residents can interact, including a library, meeting room, game areas, cafeteria, chapel, bingo, and others.

This is a beautiful campus of caring people. I am so pleased that my parents were able to move here. They have good food, community, and even worship services available right there. I love that all levels of care from residential independent living to nursing care are available as needed.
