Windsor Gardens Assisted Living – Reviews
My Mother has resided at Windsor Gardens for the last 3+ years. In that time, she has developed many friendships and supportive relationships with the staff and the other residents there. The year 2020 has been a challenging one with COVID restrictions and with the progression of my Mothers dementia, but the administration and the staff at WG bent over backwards to accommodate her needs. Windsor Gardens was my Moms first home away from home and my family will always be grateful for the time that she has spent there.
When my husband and I were looking for an Assisted Living facility for my Mom, we had chosen three to visit. On our list for the first visit was Windsor Gardens. We were given a tour of the facility by Brian. It is a beautiful place. The rooms are amazing. After speaking with Brian, we decided to look no further at other facilities. We chose Windsor Garden right then. When we took my mother to live there, she told me she was only going to stay a month and then go home. Well, two days later she told us she LOVED her new home and didnt want to ever leave. She said the facility was like a resort! She has made many new friends. The staff should all get 5 stars. The are wonderful, dedicated and hard working people. They are so good and attentive to the tenants. Always smiling and happy. They have many activities during the day. Tara is a wonderful Social Director. If you are looking for a facility for a loved one, Windsor Gardens is it!
We needed a respite care facility for Mom to recover from her broken hip. I had hear good reviews from Windsor Court and after visiting and meeting the staff I could see why. This is a well established sole owner facility, where the owner has complete control of the professional staff. Everyone was concerned with every aspect of Moms care and happiness. I would recommend Windsor Gardens to anyone.
Mom moved to Windsor Gardens a year after dad died and remained there the last five years of her life. During her stay she received excellent care appropriate to her continuing physical decline. The care she received was personal and compassionate. A variety of opportunities were provided for her personal and spiritual growth, as well as for her entertainment. We are thankful that mom had Windsor Gardens in which to spend the final years of her life.
My family and I had the opportunity to experience first hand the professional care and amenities of this facility while our mother was a resident for 18 months. They provided 3 balanced meals daily, holiday parties, group activities and devotions, and personal attention. The rooms are spacious and clean, and are adequate for a resident to feel at home and comfortable. The staff was very professional and protective of the residents as to who was coming and going and where. They provide an in-house hair salon for the convenience of those unable to go out for whatever reason, took care to check on them periodically including blood pressure checks and other needs. I was at peace knowing there was always a nurse on duty 24, 7 should any unforeseen situation should arise and I would be contacted. During the Covid lockdown, they were careful to keep the residents safe and protected from any exposure to the virus, and were 100% successful. I highly recommend this facility, and you can feel confident that your elderly loved one will be receiving the best care and attention and entertainment.
Oh my I can’t say enough good things about EVERYTHING WINDSOR! My mom was there for a little over 2 years. They were so supportive and treated her with such dignity and respect. The facility was always spotless. The activities department was phenomenal.... I really appreciated the open communication between staff and families. The meals and food service was wonderful, very good quality. They offer a variety of nutritious meals and snacks. I couldn’t have been happier having my mom being a part of Windsor Garden’s Family.
My mother spent 2 wonderful years at Windsor Gardens. The Staffa no other residents treated her with respect and dignity at all times. They were more like family. Windsor Gardens was always exceptionally clean and always well maintained. We ate several meals there as guest of my moms, the food was alway very tasty. The recreation department was wonderful, the residents ALWAYS had things to do activities to attend ect.... my moms health needs became too great for assisted living. WE LOVE WINDSOR! They are great
Things are tough right now with COVID, but the staff here didn’t fail to make Mother’s Day work! This team takes such good care of my sweet Mamaw, and she loves calling this place home. Thank you all for what you do!
The staff at Windsor Gardens made the transition a welcoming experience. We immediately felt so comfortable in moving my mother from her home to a place where her safety, health, and security were paramount to providing peace of mind for our family. This quickly became her new home that she was proud share with new and old friends alike. Thank you Windsor Gardens for your care, compassion, and friendship.
Windsor Gardens was my mothers home for three years. Tara Wallace is the best activities director Ive ever seen!! There were countless activities and trips that were so beneficial. The staff and medical team were very kind and personable. She was always treated respectfully and as though they really loved her. Even the cleaning staff loved on her! Windsor Gardens went well beyond what was expected, as over time Moms dementia made it increasingly difficult for her to care for herself. Our family will always be grateful.
My family and I love Windsor Gardens. It has been a wonderful, caring, safe environment for my mom to live while continuing to recover from a broken hip a year ago. Great food. Attentive staff. The best activity coordinator you can imagine. Daily devotions time available. Multiple weekly worship experiences. Windsor Gardens is simply an awesome place to live for my my mom! We and she love it!
The facility is very nice, clean, and neat. The staff is courteous and friendly and very helpful. I never heard complaints from my family member who stayed at Windsor.
The experience of having a loved one living away from home and being cared for by people that you dont know can be a real challenge. This difficult situation was made easier because of personally knowing a dear lady that had been in the care of Windsor Gardens for number of months. There were only good reports of care and personal attention for her needs. When I made the visit to explore what they had to offer for our elderly aunt I was liked the home like casual environment and the evidence of a caring staff present through out the facility. After almost 5 years I was never disappointed in the care and attention that our dear aunt received. Our aunt also came to love the people and made many friends and told everyone that asked, the food is great here and I have everything that I need and I love my room here. Anyone needing the care for a friend or family member in an assisted living setting should come in and talk with the staff at Windsor Gardens Assisted Living for what they can offer, I dont think you will be disappointed.
My mother was there for three weeks but I was very impressed with everyone involved with her care. They could not have been nicer or more helpful. The rooms and grounds are really nice!
In my experience at Windsor Gardens, I was there for 9 months after a adventurous time in the hospital and rehab. Everyone at Windsor Gardens helped me improve to the point that I can care for myself. Everyone was helpful and compassionate, I would highly recommend this facility to anyone that needs assistance for daily needs.
My mother was a resident at Windsor Gardens until her death in May of this year. She was exceptionally happy there. She loved the new friends she made and all the activities that were offered. The management and nursing staff are excellent. When she became ill this year, she received the best of care. She wanted for nothing. They were so attentive and kept us informed everyday about her Illness and her progress.. I can’t say enough good things about Windsor Gardens. If you are looking for a place that your loved one would be happy and well taken care of, Windsor Gardens is the place.Christine MoyersJuly 16, 2020
My mother has been a resident of Windsor Gardens twice. The first time was two years ago as a temporary resident to help with her recovery after a fall, and the second time she moved in was July of this year as a permanent resident. I cant begin to express how happy I am that she is living at Windsor Gardens and more importantly how happy she is. The attention and professionalism of the staff is well beyond our expectations and it is such a relief to know that she is in good hands when we are not with her or have to be away. We have seen such a positive change in mother since she has been living at Windsor Gardens. I would highly recommend to anyone that is considering assisted living for a loved one- look here first.John Stinnette
The Staff here is exceptional. They are so kind and caring constantly doing great things for their clients. We really appreciate them as we know this is a great place for our Mom. Thank You Windsor Gardens.
My experience was excellent. The food was great. The care and assistance provided to me could not have been any better. The staff provided care with kindness and consideration for my every need. I would recommend this facility to anyone who needs these services.
I was a little nervous at first, but soon put at ease. All of the staff is first rate! The facilities are top notch. I was in a single room - spacious and comfortable. A wonderful window looking out on multiple bird feeders. A variety of outdoor seating areas accent the overall ambiance. There are many communal rooms (well decorated) for activities. Lots of activities of various sorts (appealing to a cross section of interests) are planned and fun. Nursing staff is highly qualified and kind. The meals are well planned and varied - quite tasty and can be customized. I found the residents welcoming and happy. Overall I highly recommend Windsor Gardens!
I was in the hospital, then rehab. I went to Windsor Gardens for respite care to regain my strength before returning home. I feel like Windsor Gardens definitely helped in my transition. I felt comfortable. Wonderful caring people. I was able to get out and play bridge with the other residents regularly.
Windsor Gardens has such a homey atmosphere. Each time you walk into the facility several residents and staff members greet you and ask how you been. It is so welcoming in that regard. I love how friendly everyone is. Windsor is always very clean and tidy and there is always something fun going on. My family and I typically volunteer at special events at Windsor and have a great experience every time!
Both of my parents went to live at Windsor about two years ago and what a blessing it was! The staff are excellent and the young activities director is awesome!!! Always keeping the residents active and involved in fun activities. Dad passed last year and the love and compassion shown toward my mom and our family during that time was beyond all our expectations and they continue to give mom a wonderful, loving, Christian environment in which to live.
The staff truly cares about their residents. My father genuinely likes living there. He has commented how nice the other residents are. He feels like they are his second family.
Windsor Gardens provided my mother with short term care after a fall. She had injured her legs and was not able to take care of herself as she had been able to. The staff went above and beyond to make sure she was comfortable and taken care of. It was the closest thing to her being at home. She also got to know several of the residents and enjoyed interacting with them.5 stars
