Wonderful place. Staff is friendly and extremely helpful. They are very understanding and courteous. They have all kinds of daily activities offered to the residents, and family members can come eat and visit freely. Location is also great.

The facility was not able to meet my dad’s needs. We had chosen the facility due to their claim that the facility could give my dad the best care possible. But after only a few hours there , my dad had to be taken to the hospital. We currently are waiting on them to refund our money due to their lack of adequate care. I am very disappointed in their facility.

I was very pleased with Holiday Echo Ridge. When I needed a home while in the hospital they came thru for me making it possible for me to have a home once I got out of the hospital. They emailed me all the information I needed and worked with me as well financially to h to get and keep a roof over my head. Thanks again Holiday Echo Ridge

I have my grandmother as a resident of Echo Ridge in Knoxville and she absolutely loves it. Losing her husband, my grandfather, she wanted to be around people that are positive, happy and a place that has activities. We visited every senior living facility in the area and while some are newer, they just didn't have the family warm feel as Echo Ridge. Almost immediately, we knew this was the place she would call home and that we could feel comfortable knowing she was in the best place in the area. It first began in meeting and speaking with the G.M. Larry Goings. Mr. Goings answered all of our questions, was transparent, professional and has a heart for seniors. He told us stories of his relationship with his grandparents, and saw how many residents would come up to him and their interactions told us a lot. Mr. Goings introduced us to his staff that were really friendly and made us feel welcomed. Mr. Goings had us eat lunch and the food was delicious and gave us the opportunity to speak with other residents who conveyed how much they loved it there. After our lunch we then went and toured the place and chose what apartment was appropriate. Considering all the free countless amenities and what they cost at other places, we chose Echo Ridge and it's been lovely. Not only do we recommend Echo Ridge to everyone, but if we ever decide to go this route, this will be where we call home too.

My father spent much of the last months of his life at Echo Ridge, and it was a wonderful place for him. The staff there are very caring and concerned and make the effort to spend time with and get to know the residents. When I walked in today to move some of Dad's stuff out of his room the general manager was out helping serve residents their lunch in the cafe area. How many places do you get that kind of interaction from the GM? The facility is beautiful, inside and out, and they offer so much. There are so many activities available on the schedule and so many things to do in the building. The rooms seem to each have their own balcony or patio giving a nice place to sit when the weather is nice. For those who may need such things, they also have an on-site physical therapy office with staff who will help residents with their rehabilitative needs. Three meals a day are served in their very nice cafe, and if I remember correctly friends and family can eat free with their resident on Wednesday! There are regularly scheduled trips to the local store for those residents who like to have snacks or sodas in the kitchenette in their room, and other trips are arranged monthly. All in all it is a wonderful place, and Dad enjoyed it and the various people there, both residents and staff, as I did and the other members of our family too. Highest recommendation!

The place was attractive on driving up to it, and had a clearly well-maintained exterior and landscaping. The setting, up in the woods, away from the road, with a field behind it but nothing else easily visible, was appealing to us. Inside, while the decor scheme was dated, it was very clean and well-maintained, and was free of smells. The units definitely had very dated vanities (the look was perhaps from the late 1980s) some of which were beginning to disintegrate on their edges, but the new manager of the place is working on updating the decor within the units; the model unit looked very good to us with updated flooring and new furniture. Theres no quartz or granite tops here, but you will also pay significantly less to live here so its a tradeoff between fancy new decor and money. What struck us was the sense of community and the warm, welcoming vibe we got from the residents. We had a good time at lunch, which was nothing special, just spaghetti, but it was good. There was salad offered as well, and a corn muffin, plus a blondie as dessert. All were perfectly acceptable. We appreciated that we didnt wait to have coffee, it was offered immediately upon sitting, and ice water was already on the table, as was the corn muffin, so we would not be hungry as we waited to have our order taken. We gave our order, and the food arrived nearly instantly. What a difference from other sit-down style places, where there can be a long wait. We liked that we did not have to get in a line cafeteria style and be responsible for carrying a heavy tray. They had fun at lunch with the residents, as it was a holiday (though the loudspeaker was overly loud, tinny, and difficult to understand clearly.) Several people came over to speak with us, and it was clear that we had things in common that we could share if we chose the community. We loved the open field and woods outside, and that the units received good light. Some opened directly on the rear area and had screened porches. There was a good amount of community space for various activities, and outings could be had Monday-Wednesday with frequency, plus transportation to doctors visits. There was no movie theater, auditorium, or pool but the manager has arranged for all of those things to be offered to residents through planned outings, including weekly swimming. We liked that they are affiliated with Holiday, which means that if we wanted to visit another city, where theres family, or just for a vacation, it could be arranged for us to stay at a sister facility. In short, for us, there was good value to be had here and its on our short list. We need a place for those who plan to stay home because they do not drive, a place where theres a sense of community and many activities in-house, and the opportunity to stay fit and spend time outdoors. We hope the decor and fixtures will be updated but thats low on the list, more of a want than a real need. The important part was that it all worked well and that maintenance would be there quickly if something were not working well; residents told us that typically maintenance would be there the day it was reported. Its the small things in life that will get under your skin, and it seems they are aware of that here. The staff was friendly and seemed to genuinely care about the residents. We liked the new manager very much, he seemed to genuinely care about the happiness and well-being of the residents. In fact, out of the managers and reps weve met thus far in visiting several places, he was by far the most genuine, knowledgeable and personable and is one of the reasons we placed this facility high on our list.
