This facility is very well run with the BEST executive Director and head nurse in the business. I have my brother at Charter Senior Living and he loves it. He enjoys the daily activities from music sing alongs to a zoo bringing in small animals like an owl. They have outings and delicious nutritional meals. The staff and nurses are wonderful and caring as well as providing the very best care for my brother. There are devotional services as well. The residents actually have a wonderful life there. I highly recommend Charter Senior Living!

My mother has been living here for just over a year and shes had no complaints. Theyve done an outstanding job during covid. My mother and I can at times have a dark back and forth banter, all in good fun. Ive teased her before that when shes old as hell Im putting her in the worst facility imaginable. Shed laugh and laugh. She knew I would never. When the time actually came she refused to move in with me. So I researched and I really liked Morningside. She still has some indipendence. She has made quite a lot of friends and she feels safe during this scary time. The staff according to her is stupendous.

In the late fall of 2018, my husband and I visited several assisted living communities before suggesting Morningside in Franklin to my mother-in-law, who was widowed after 63 years of marriage and who was experiencing memory loss. In January of 2019, just a year ago, she joined the Morningside community where the staff support has been phenomenal, helping her to have not only a safe but more importantly a joyful life. Wendy, the community director, is not a sit-at-your-desk administrator. She is out and about with the residents, engaging cheerfully and listening sincerely. Tori, the activities director who is energetic and fun, plans projects that sustain cognitive and physical health as well as build relationships among the families and residents. Often helping the residents plan and lead special events, Tori searches for ways that the residents can take ownership of and contribute to their community. ALL the resident assistants – who are compassionate and quick to help - feel like family to us. We feel especially that we’ve known Cristina, Eileen, and Pat a lifetime, not just twelve months. ALL the resident assistants anticipate my mother-in-law’s needs and have offered supportive suggestions to make her life easier. The nurses, Kelly and Tracie, are knowledgeable and patient helping coordinate my mother-in-law daily’s care, including any necessary visits with the nurse practitioner who is on-site every Thursday. Laura, the nursing director, stayed in touch with us via text when my mother-in-law had a visit to the local emergency room and she remained at Morningside (after her regular workday hours) awaiting our return. Laura’s experience and insight helped us facilitate a smooth transition from home to Morningside. Charles, the maintenance director, works many hours caring for the building as if it is his own home; his energy and knowledge are incredible. Mercy and Sara, without their knowing, may be my mother-in-law’s favorites because they oversee a lovely dining room and nutritious, delicious menu. My mother-in-law raves about not having to worry about groceries or cooking! She says, All I have to do is show up! We know all these wonderful souls by name because the community’s size and family feel encourage that type of relationship with my mother-in-law and us. We love everything about Morningside: the one-story layout that is easy to navigate, a spacious yet cozy apartment, a rocking-chair porch, a serene courtyard, a small outdoor garden, assistance with meds, help with showering, daily exercise programs, interesting speakers on a variety of topics, pet therapy, lovely musical entertainment, seasonal parties, bingo, kind residents, and local volunteers. Residents have access to a well-stocked library of books, movies, and games; an on-site beauty salon; and transportation off-campus for outings and appointments. Morningside thinks of everything and living at Morningside has been a blessing for our family.

Early in 2019, my mother experienced a serious medical problem requiring a surgical hospital stay as well as an extended stay in a skilled nursing facility. In looking to transition her to an assisted living facility in the Franklin area, I wanted to find a place that would feel like a home to her-being a place that was not too large, with a caring and quality staff to support her needs, while being convenient to us living here in the Franklin area. We really hit a home run with Morningside, and have been so pleased with everything since her moving there in April of 2019. I would characterize Morningside as a sweet place that my mother now calls home. The facility design is perfect for the residents in that it is not so large for the residents to easily navigate throughout the facility to find their apartments. The staff is always helpful and sweet to the residents, and it seems more like a family setting than seen in larger facilities. My mother refers to Wendy, the Executive Director, as her friend. Wendy has an open door policy to all residents, and as a result, she works countless hours to maintain those important resident relationships as well as getting her work done to insure that Morningside runs smoothly. The Nursing Staff is always so kind and patient, providing the guidance my mother needs in medication compliance. The Resident Assistants are so kind and helpful to her-she refers to them as nurses as well-they are very patient with her, and we appreciate their assistance. I have not heard complaints from my mother with the food served, and that is something to say, coming from an excellent country cook for most of her life! Good food is such an important aspect in helping to keep the residents happy! Tori, the Activities Director is so energetic and fun-just what my Mom needs to get her out of her room and participating in the many activities going on at Morningside. Charles, the Maintenance Director, practically lives there, in order to make sure that all is well with the facility and its residents. In summary, I must say that when moving a parent to an assisted living facility, a certain amount of guilt can be experienced, as this is a significant step and life change for a new resident and family members. I can honestly say those feelings were minimized as a result of my mother moving to Morningside of Franklin. We soon found that she was quickly welcomed into her new home by both staff and residents, and we knew that we did not have to worry about her when were not there. She was being well-cared for, and we could depend upon the staff to communicate with us if there was something that required our attention. We are so pleased!

My mother has been a resident for almost five years. We selected Morningside for the reputation for having limited turnover; it was a small community--all on one level, and satisfied residents and family members. The price was also a factor in comparing it to other facilities, getting the biggest bang for your buck! The staff is friendly and truly care about the residents. Our new Exec. Director is accommodating and always willing to listen to any concerns. As a family, we are blessed to have our Mom at Morningside.

Morningside of Franklin - what a wonderful place, with a wonderful and caring staff! Mom lived there for a year, and she experienced kind and loving attention from Morningside personnel, great opportunities for making friends and taking part in many social activities on site, and a beautiful, spacious apartment looking out onto a peaceful and serene courtyard. The layout makes it easy for residents to get around, whether on their own or with assistance, to several entertainment and activity areas and a lovely, airy dining room. The residence is small enough to feel cozy and intimate, yet large enough to offer many benefits, including plenty of parking for family and friends. We visited Mom often and were always welcomed as part of the family!

Morningside of Franklin was the perfect choice for my mother-in-law who had many prerequisit concerns. No elevators, cheery windows, roomy closet, homey environment...etc., etc.,. I was so please to find Morningside. It was perfect! On one level, beautiful courtyard (including charming duck residents that provided many smiles), cheery french-panes windows, comfy dining room that didn’t smell like a cafeteria, lots of fun activities, charming porch seating areas, and a staff that felt like family! The director Shannon, couldn’t have been more loving and helpful. And the fun and fanciful activities director, Tori, always had something interesting up her sleeve. But truly, all the RA’s, med staff, and salon stylist, Margaret, were fabulous! And Charles, the maintenance director was always at the ready with a smile and a helping hand! What a blessing!!! Truly grateful!!!

My parents have been here for 7 months and we couldnt be happier with the care they receive. The staff is kind, caring and respectful. Everyone helps them in a unique way. Its a huge relief not worrying as we did when they lived alone. We know they are eating good meals, taking their meds and having some who cares check on them and help whenever needed.

We moved from N. Alabama to Franklin, TN in May 2016. A major reason to locate to this area was Morningside of Franklin. We found it to be a very caring place for my mother to now call home now that she is now alone after a 70 yr. marriage to my dad who passed in 2015. This made it possible to know that she was being taken care of in a way that I could no longer do myself. She has recently moved on to a skilled nursing situation locally, but I can say that during her 2 year + stay, our family and my mom were always treated like family, with respect and caring. Would also give kudos to the Executive Director, Shannon Williams and her staff. From my perspective, they have always been very professional in all of their everyday activities, and have been willing to take the time to listen and make sure that all concerns are addressed professionally and in a caring manner. Would definitely recommend this facility to anyone looking for a smaller place for a loved one to call home that needs special care that is tailored to their individual needs.

My friend chose to move to Morningside of Franklin after living at another facility for over a year. His reasons for selecting Morningside were - located in the convenient Cool Springs area of Franklin, building is one story, his room is located very close to nurses station and main building rooms, price for one bedroom apt and ordering, dispensing his medicine is reasonable, courteous staff and overall pleasant atmosphere. He has lived there a year and enjoys the facility and all the various activities it offers. He enjoys using their van service to go to doctors appointments, the grocery and general stores. Living there also gives him an opportunity to meet and socialize with other residents and visitors. He plans to stay there as long as his health allows.

My mother-in-law has been living at Morningside about a year and a half. She has dementia and requires special attention and patience. The staff are patient, kind, caring, and helpful. The rooms are nice and the floor plan makes for easy access to the dining hall, and activities. There is also a nice covered front porch with large rockers which provides a comfortable and attractive living space for the residents. Our family appreciate the security of knowing she is in good hands.

I met with the executive director, Tammy Rumfelt, on a visit to Morningside when I was exploring options for a loved one. Tammy was genuine and very caring and spent more time with me than I anticipated. I appreciated her empathy and wisdom regarding the situation my loved one was facing. She was a great help to me as I navigated options for the future.

Actually, the kind and professional demeanor of Tammy was the main reason we selected Morningside for my 96-year old Dads respite stay. After Tammys inviting conversation when I was phone searching, I chose to bring my family to meet with her and look at the facilities several days later. My dad stayed at Morningside a little over a month. I was there more often than than other members of the family and made some sweet friends of other residents there. The efficient service, friendliness, and caring treatment my Dad received was a reason that we would look to Morningside if we have future temporary or more permanent needs.

My mother moved to Fieldstone Place in Clarksville earlier this year. Tammy Rumfelt was absolutely outstanding throughout the whole process. She was super responsive, trustworthy, and caring. Her focus was always on how to help my mom transition and enjoy her new life in assisted living. Thank you, Tammy!!!

My elderly aunt has been a resident of Morningside of Franklin since September 2016. The staff there were very helpful to secure her placement and continue to be supportive of her every need. I toured many facilities in our area on my quest to find the right home for my aunt and found Morningside has the family atmosphere that is a perfect fit for her. There are other facilities out there, but none that offer the warmth, convenience and family atmosphere that Morningside offers. My aunt is genuinely happy in her new home at Morningside.

These folks do a great job taking care of my parents which makes it easier for me to do the same. The only downside is the problem that similar facilities in this area have due to concentration of facilities--Staffing on the weekends. Even with the dramatic growth of this type of facility in our area, Morningside is working hard to solve this issue.
