One of the most difficult experiences is having to leave your home and move to a facility where you don't know anyone. It took a few weeks but my mom soon acclimated to living at Halcyon and now considers this her home. She has only positive things to say about everyone who she comes in-contact with. Our family knows she's safe and is being well taken care of.

Just placed my grandfather in Brookdale, West Bay. It was hard for us all having him leave his home that he has been at for over 65 years. But, we are ALL so happy that he his safe, comfortable, happy, and not lonly anymore. The staff is AMAZING! They truly love their residents.

I have been there numerous times to visit a dear friend of the family. And each time the staff were very accommodating, and the place is always clean. My friend enjoys the food very much also. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

I cant say enough good things about the staff here - from housekeeping to activities to sales to the nursing staff. My Mom, lets just say she was not keen on moving here, but the staff, in particular Tonya and Ann Marie, truly bent over backward to make her feel at home and to ease my own anxieties. Sure enough, the day soon came when Mom was calling it home - and meaning it. Nothing short of a miracle. I so understand the hesitations, guilt, and anxieties surrounding putting our parents into a safer environment (whether they understand that or not) and my heart goes out to you who are faced with this. What I can say is that we found Brookdale West Bay to be a safe place - not just physically, though it is, for sure, but also I believe you will find, as we did, warm human hearts here capable and willing to go the extra mile to make our loved ones feel safe and comfortable.

Parents have been there for 18 months. All staff is wonderful. Management continually visible as checking in with residents. Food outstanding. Decorations for holidays so tastefully done and everywhere. Facility is spotless, constant maintenance to keep it pristine. So happy my parents there.

Brookdale is honestly one of the most caring facilities Ive ever worked in. Ive been a nursing assistant for about 7 years and Ive been all over. The compassion and care this facility gives is honestly and truly one of my main reasons for staying for over 3 years now. Every resident is cared upon greatly, and it just feels so much like a family rather than a job to not only myself but my other staff members as well. Management isnt the type to sit behind a desk and make calls or do paperwork. Theyre actively involved in the care and well being of each and every resident immensely. Both units have some of the best staff and management Ive ever experienced during my time as an aide. Personally I would love for any one of my elderly family members to be here, because I know for certain theyd be more than cared for, and thats a wonderful feeling.

My Mom was a resident of Brookdale West Bay for almost 10 years until her recent passing. A few years ago she was moved into their Memory Care unit. The care she received at this facility was outstanding! The staff is nothing short of exceptional. I look back to when I moved her to West Bay and I now know that was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I very highly recommend this facility which is not only lovely in its accommodations but mostly its about the staff. I have rarely known a more caring group of people. My Mom was extremely well cared for and loved by everyone who knew her....what a rare find this place is!

My Mother came to Brookdale West Bay almost 5 years ago. It was the most wonderful decision we all could have made for her. She was immediately welcomed as part of the family. Everyone was very kind and patient. She has been able to retain her privacy while making friends with staff and other residents. Her studio apartment was totally adequate and transformed with photos into a shrine for her family. She totally enjoys all of the music provided as well. From sing-a-longs to Elvis she raves about them all. She raves about the food, too. The chef prepares everything with awareness of the senior palate and her request for small portions. For a number of years, our dwindling family has reserved the private dining room for Thanksgiving. Totally amazing! My Mom felt she was entertaining the 6 of us in her home, which she was! And we felt special being served a delicious meal. I highly recommend Brookdale West Bay for any senior looking to make the next step in their living situation. At 93, Mom is looking forward to her next journey by moving to NC to be closer to family. She will truly miss you all! And, you know she will keep you in her prayers. God Bless!

An excellent assisted living community to work for. Great staff and management, along with a resident-oriented team of activities planners and caregivers. Restaurant style dining and food preparation with a diverse menu and multiple things to choose from. Overall, a very comfortable place to relax in. I would recommend it to one of my loved ones.

As is typical in most cases my mom did not want anything to do with senior living. Circumstances however arose where it was necessary for her to go to a senior living community for 30 days. We chose Brookdale West Bay for her care. After touring the facility and meeting the staff my mom felt much better about having to stay. The staff is wonderful, friendly, caring. The facility is clean and bright. After two weeks, mom decided she wanted to stay permanently. She made friends with the residents her own age, they laughed, watched movies, played games. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Brookdale West Bay.

Mom originally went to Brookdale West Bay for a 30 day respite. Two weeks into her stay she decided this would be a new chapter and permanent home for her. My family and I were thrilled for Mom as well as knowing she was home in a great place. The facility is clean, cheerful, and welcoming. There are numerous activities, accommodations, and amenities. Every member of the staff are amazing and vested in the care and support of the residents. It was refreshing to witness from the administrators to maintenance to activities to medical to receptionist, the staff truly enjoy their jobs. Mom quickly got involved with games, entertainment, movies and made some new friends. I highly recommend going for a tour. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Brookdale West Bay.

What we found, was that being with their peers they perked up, enjoyed the social piece but also gained strength even at a later age in life due to walking to and from programs and meals. They began to rave about the attentive staff they were encountering and mentioned what a nice, clean community it was. As family we noticed how the associates paid attention to details surrounding auntie and gram which meant the world to us and took pressures and guilt off my parents. Thank you West Bay for all you do in going above and beyond for residents and families.

You can't help but feel the warmth and compassion from the associates. Everyone is friendly and helpful. The community is spotless, inviting and has many different spaces for people to enjoy. My aunt and uncle loved living here for many years. I would highly recommend to anyone looking.
