Very welcoming community! Dinning staff are very accommodating to resident preferences. Nursing staff are super responsive to individual care needs. Housekeeping staff are thorough and adapt to resident requests. Reception staff are polite and helpful. Be sure to check the Activities Calendar daily for socials, events, movies, & more.

My experience as a volunteer is a unique one in seeing all sides at once, and quietly knowing more than I need to too. Saying that, I gave Elmcroft five stars for excellence in nursings staff, efficiency of communication, attractiveness of grounds and housing. How nice it is to always be welcomed by Lindas smile! And the sun pouring in through the clean glass windows. Just lovely.

We visited Elmcroft of State College, and I thought it was depressing because they have all the people in one room. They invited us for dinner, but we did not eat there. The staff was very nice, and the rooms were nice.

Caring
Elmcroft of State College has piano, instruments, drums, guitars, big TVs all over the place, a fireplace, and lots of places to sit. They all seem to get along. They said they have a lot of people in there with mild Alzheimer's, and they have locked down areas. Accommodations are two residents to a room and one person to a room. It was a decent place. The staff was very polite and called me a couple of times to see how everything was going. It was nice and big inside.

The staff at Elmcroft in State College were so kind and knowledgeable when we took an initial tour. Later, when we needed last-minute help, our Mom was welcomed into the community immediately. She has received excellent care and our family feels secure knowing she is safe and loved.

My mom has only been at Elmcroft for about a week but the first week in a new place is critical in terms of making a resident feel like they belong. I can't say enough good things about how well the staff has treated my mom. We were moving my mom into Elmcroft from out of state and the transition was easy because the staff there is so wonderful. I'm still in NY but have had other family members visit twice since I've left and all remark how friendly the staff is and how happy my mom seems. We're very grateful we found Elmcroft!
