My dad stayed at Personal Care for a month after discharge from the rehab facility as a bridge to moving closer to me. Lorna was such a huge help in getting everything coordinated and gave me such peace of mind that dad was being taken care of. She went above and beyond on move-in day to help us get everything in and sorted. And when I realized that I'd left a whole linen closet full of things after move-out to a place almost 2 hours away, she was an angel who helped me get everything back! Dad really enjoyed the caregiving staff, they took the time to get to know him and make sure he was getting out and participating in activities. If it weren't so far away from me I would have been very happy to have him stay there permanently.

My relative lived for a long time in the Personal Care (assisted living) section. He enjoyed a lot of opportunities to interact with staff and other residents. He received moderate attention for health matters, with more focus on responding to issues than to preventing them. The staff is busy but genuinely caring. The pandemic made the whole situation difficult and isolating, especially for someone with cognitive deficits, but the facility did an excellent job of keeping residents safe. Eventually he was moved into Health Care (skilled nursing) as he needed much more attention and assistance. He received kind and compassionate care there and good communication from the staff was appreciated. He spent the last weeks of his life in that comfortable environment.

I visited Holland Village twice while searching for a place for my mother to live. She is moving from Arizona so couldnt visit herself. Cindy was so kind and helpful showing me around on two separate occasions because my schedule didnt allow for a long enough visit the first time. I loved how friendly everyone was, including the new owners, a couple of whom greeted me personally. They are fixing up the buildings and I think its going to be wonderful! Weve decided it is the perfect place for my mother, who has chosen one very specific one bedroom apartment with a little patio and garden area for herself. Im feeling confident that this is the right place for her.

My grandmother was in rehab there and also did the bridge to home program to help her return back home and be able to get around her house alone. It made her return home so much easier, and put everyone in the family at ease with her living alone. Everything about the program was exceptional, and exceeded our expectations.

My mother has lived here for 2 years, progressing from the Independent Living apartments to Assisted Living. The facility is clean and the living quarters nice. Most important, though, is the staff. Everyone weve met from the housekeeping staff, dining room servers , Wellness Center nurses and floor nursing staff have been kind and attentive. They encourage socialization among the residents. Make sure Mom is eating etc. Like with any change, there were some initial growing pains but we worked through those issues and shes now happy and settled in her new home.

My experience with Twining Village has been amazing. The staff there has always been so kind, compassionate, helpful, and only interested in providing exceptional care to the residents of the community. I love all the activities and amenities they offer and the campus is beautiful. I love the entry to the Nursing facility. Very welcoming with a small meal cafe and a quiet library nearby. I highly recommend Twining Village to anyone looking for a retirement community for a loved one.

The staff are warm and welcoming. As an employee and previous outside vendor I have been around Twining for years. The facility is clean and there are lots of activities for the residents. Ive witnessed the staff go above and beyond to take care of both residents and employees.

My husband has been in Twining Village Rehab on and off for many weeks. Although medically his situation has been difficult, the care, kindness and treatment by the entire staff has made all the difference in the world and contributed greatly to his recovery and made daily living as comfortable as possible. As hard as it is to make the decision to find a great place for your parents and loved ones. Twinning Village and their team made it effortless during this tough process. The empathy and compassion that was Shown was genuine.. They respect their clients and their family members and understand that placeing your loved one is one of the toughest processes you may ever have to endure. The Campus is beautiful and it provides continuing care if your loved one is ever Ill and needs a Higher higher level of nursing expertise and Rehabilitation . This is our second home and our mother is so happy here. She is active and Twining Village has improved her quality of life tremendously. Thank you to all the staff and management for helping us with this decision we are so thankful for you all.

My great aunt and uncle were very reluctant to moving in here and leaving their home which they had lived for most of there lives. After only a few days .... DAYS they were thanking me for helping them find TV . And were so excited to tell me about all the activities and fun things to do as well as how nice the staff and most of the other residents are. Cant Thank TV enough for making ever part of the transition more smooth and easy then I could have ever imagined !!!

I never wanted my children to have to say “ what are we going to do about Mom?” I moved to Twining five years ago and it was the best thing I have ever done for myself. My apartment is very comfortable for me and my cat Lucy. I enjoy the pool, library, activities, and trips but most of all the people are so friendly. I volunteer at Grandma’s Attic and the Recreation Committee but one can be as busy as one wants to be. I feel my socialization and medical needs have been met here at Twining.

Four and half years ago I moved here. It was the best thing I ever did. I have made many friends, joined several committees, swim 3 days a week and exercise 2 days a week. I hardly have time for myself. Life is really fun here. We also play cards and do puzzles, trips go out to lunch as a group at least once a month. There is always something to do here.

I have lived here for 17 years now, and feel so fortunate to be at Twining Village. Living here has afforded me the ability to live more independently and travel at will. I have a small business along with a friend who lives nearby in the town. We travel to over 60 other ccrc facilities in the tri_ state area, and can make multiple comparisons. I can truly say that Twining compares very favorably, most especially in its sociability. This has always been and continues to be an exceptionally welcoming and friendly community of both residents and staff. Many studies of seniors point to the extreme importance of maintaining a robust social life to maintain good quality of life, and Twining Village meets that need beautifully. Nothing and no one place in life is perfect, but this is a wonderful, safe and secure residence to call home. I would not choose to live any place else.

I have been a resident here at Twining Village for 4 years after myhusband died. I have never regretted my decision.. the quality of life here is what u make it. Residents and staff are so very friendly our recreation committee offers theater trips out to lunch trips entertainment here on campus I can take advantage of seeing musicals transportation provided If I choose to stay and read a book that’s fine also. We have a very current library.Medical services and emergency care is only A push button away. We havery capable and loving nurses and aids . The campus is beautiful and we now have a special garden area that is open to all and families.Twining can spoil u. If a light goes out or u have a maintenance problem. Just call the front desk and a maintence person will come .I do not cook anymore and have had some great meals here. My weight gain is a reminder of that. If and when u cannot drive anymore. There is transportation to doctors provided by Twining. No matter what your needs and pleasures are , Twining is a wonderful home to me come join us J Neff

My grandfather -in - law was sent to Twining for nursing & rehab after several recurrent medical conditions - in and out of the hospital and several other nursing centers for 2 months prior to going to Twining. He was very well cared for, nursing and therapy.. but ALSO from all other staff.. (dietary ,housekeepers,etc.) Jim was in his 90's and 2-3 weeks into his stay, HE approached staff about end of life care. He voiced he didn't want to go back to hospitals anymore or continue rehab..BUT, DID REQUEST TO STAY AT TWINING since he finally felt safe/cared for. End of life care-such an emotional experience. The process made much easier due to supportive atmosphere Twining and hospice created. Their full time chaplain checked in often. ALL staff created plan of care to promote/mantain his comfort and dignity as well as supported us. The compassion/emotional support offered by Twining employees made his passing much easier process for him and our family. Thank you all for all your care and love during the time my family needed it the most.

My grandfather was a recent patient in Twining Village skilled nursing center 2 months ago , after he had been in and out of the hospital several times and placed in other local centers.( While at prior nursing home he developed horrible bed sores, kept being sent back to the hospital, and we were afraid to try another place fearing the same outcome) At Twining, the staff was warm and friendly from the second we came. They met with him and my dad the next day to explain their goald and ask them about their goals. They were very customer service oriented and actually had pictures of their head nurse and administrator hanging up when you walk onto the unit with their contact information and ask their patients and families to always reach out to share their likes and dislikes to make sure their customers are happy and that the families and patients remain active in their care. They always communicated well and made sure we were comfortable. We were more than happy with the quality of care and friendless of everyone and only wish we would have been informed of them from the hospital much sooner than we were, so he could have went there first. I think anyone who is looking for somwhere to go for nursing and Rehab should definetly consider them.
