Farmington Square at Tualatin – Reviews
Farmington Square Tualatin was a very welcoming place to work for. The residents and employees felt like family. I am grateful I was given the opportunity to work here. I will hold the memories and relationships I made here forever!
Farmington Square Tualatin was home to my mother for six years until her death on 6-9-2021.Although Alzheimers diminished her memory and ultimately took her life my mother never lost her love for others, her compassion for and appreciation of everyone she knew. The caring staff at Farmington Square Tualatin are deeply compassionate, dedicated, hardworking caregivers who treat each resident with loving care.My mother was warmly welcomed into the Farmington Square community with open arms. As with other residents she became part of the Farmington Square family and was always treated with love and respect. All of the staff and management including housekeeping, food service, med techs, aides, activities staff and director, community relations director, care coordinators, nurses – (and others I may be forgetting) are kind and dedicated. They really are a family and treat residents as family members.I live across the country and was welcomed to visit when I was in Oregon. Although I always tried to schedule my visits at a time when it would not disrupt the daily house routine, I was always welcomed and invited to take part in any activity my mother was involved in. Additionally, the activities director went out of her way to offer face time calls, telephone calls and other ways of connecting with my mom even when I was in Connecticut. My sister is local in Oregon and always felt heard and respected if she raised a concern or had a suggestion about care or about my mothers needs. Family is integral in the patient plan of care.Residents are allowed the level of independence that is safe for them. Each resident is treated as an individual and great effort is made to optimize their level of function while maximizing their safety.Staff and management worked diligently throughout the Covid 19 pandemic to keep residents and each other safe. During the extended time that it was not possible to have in-person family visits there was always good communication about what was planned and what was happening. There is much more I could sayWith great gratitude,Kristen
Very friendly and accommodating staff. They were genuinely concerned about meeting my fathers needs. The facility is much more home-like and personal than larger, corporate-run facilities.
In my experience (personally and professionally) I have visited many kinds of long-term care communities. Some are good and some are less so. I can say with confidence that this community is a good one!
As a member of the leadership team here at Farmington Square-Tualatin I see joy and happiness in the faces of the residents each and every day. Our care staff is absolutely amazing and it shows ! It is an honor to be a part of a team of like minded individuals who strive to make each resident feel special, and at home. It is very gratifying to come to work each day.Sincerely,Jane SmithBusiness office DirectorFarmington Square-Tualatin
Farmington Square memory care facility, provides a safe, friendly and caring environment for their residents.
What a great team and a beautiful community. I really enjoyed meeting Randy and Tawnya at my orientation! Randy is one of the best listeners I have ever met, he made me feel so welcome. I can see the heart and joy behind each employee who works here.
We love the homey environment of Farmington Square. Randy was such a great host, showing me around the property. What truely impressed me was that the community was already well versed in the importance of timely medication administration for Moms Parkinsons. Tawyna went out to Moms old community to meet with her prior and to put Mom at ease with the move. We are very happy as a family with our choice and have been looking for this great fit for such a long time. Mom has truely found her niche here.
Love this facility. ALL the staff are fabulous and have treated myself, my mom and my dad with empathy, respect and compassion. I will forever be thankful that we were led to Farmington. It was meant to be and I am grateful beyond words!
As Supervisor of the Juanita Pohl Center, Tualatins Active Aging Center, I want to share how thankful I am to have such a supportive and successful partnership with Farmington Square Tualatin. Community partnerships are essential and Farmington Square Tualatin has helped the Pohl Centers programs and events flourish and grow over the past five years. It truly goes both ways as we are both dedicated to improving the quality of life in the community. Working with Randy at the Tualatin location has been such a pleasure, such a positive professional relationship. I look forward to continue working with Farmington Square Tualatin well into the future.
Farmington Square Tualatin is a very friendly and warm environment to work in. The experiences and skillsets I acquired from working alongside the Executive Director, wellness Nurse and Wellness Directors are certainly skills I will carry with me into my future. I cherish the memories and relationships I made here as it truly was a enjoyable place to work!
My mother has been at Farmington Square Tualatin for more than 4 years and is very content there. I appreciate the compassionate and attentive care provided by the friendly, knowledgeable staff, especially during the pandemic. Cheers to all of them!
Farmington Square Is run like a large family - everyone is taken care of with love and much attention. My parents have been living there for 4 years. When I asked my mother if she wanted to move into an apartment with a friend, she strongly said NO! she loves her room and the people that take care of her.
Farmington square Tualatin is a community that I have worked with for many years..They provide a loving, Kind, and caring environment for all of there residents and staff. I would have no hesitation moving a family member in to any Farmington community .Carole Gray
We just placed my father at Farmington Square in Tualatin and we love it so far. He has great help from the staff and he seems to be adjusting very well. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this place. After meeting the new director, I am sure it will be in great hands moving forward.
I am delighted with Farmington Square Tualatin for my mom! We found Farm Sq 8 months before she was ready to move in. She has now lived there for 15 months and has moved from Assisted Living to Transitions. The staff has been wonderful with her from day one. Though there were a few changes in administration over the first year my mom was there, all has stabilized. Darryl, the Executive Director is personable, responsive to residents needs, and seems genuinely happy to be right where he is in his work. Randy as Community Outreach Coordinator is the same positive spirit he was before my mom moved in. All the care team have been kind, respectful, and thoughtful, not only of my mom but of extended family as well. I am always impressed with how clean the buildings are and how wonderful they smell. My mom considers Farmington Square "home." She is very happy there. I know she's safe and having a good time when I can't be with her. I am so grateful to all the team at Farmington Square Tualatin. Thank you for who you are and all you bring to a beautiful yet vulnerable population.
Great facility! Finally feel like my mom is safe! Thank you!
Amazing caregivers and a great facility because of them.
My longtime friend, for whom I serve as conservator, moved to Farmington Square Tualatin in 2014, and it's been a positive experience overall for both of us. We like the fact that it's relatively small but large enough to provide both the needed services and a good selection of activities. The staff are competent and friendly, and they do their best to help the residents stay active physically and engaged socially. My friend also particularly enjoys the facility's design and layout, and the delightful, attractive grounds--which many residents help to beautify by adding their personal gardening "touches." We've spent many a pleasant summer evening at Farmington, sitting outside on the patio dining al fresco and enjoying the lovely surroundings. It is a homey environment, and because all of the apartments open into common areas and the activity "hub," there's an nice social ambience. Finally, it's well situated, in a nice quiet neighborhood that's but not far from Tualatin's delightful city center. I highly recommend Farmington Square Tualatin.
I highly recommend Farmington Square Tualatin. They are caring, supportive, communicate concerns well and promptly with family members, serve tasty, nutritious food, keep the facility and grounds clean and neat, give prescription medications meticulously; housekeeping and laundry services are first rate. Transitioning our loved one with dementia from his home to memory care was very difficult for us emotionally, but the staff provided support and care not only to the new resident, but also to us, the family. We have visited unannounced at all hours and always find caring, intelligent, dedicated staff and well-cared-for residents. We visited other facilities before choosing this one, and one of the primary reasons for our choice was the quality of the staff, and their ability to hire, train, and utilize people who care, are gentle, and capable of dealing with the broad spectrum of emotions and behaviors of residents with dementia and their families. We are comfortable knowing that our loved one is well, happy, provided with activities, supervised 24/7, and we don't have to worry about his care.
My siblings and I moved our mother here from another facility, and it has been a very positive experience. She's been here one week, and we're taking turns staying with her during the transition. The staff has been friendly, supportive and accommodating--and very good at communicating and problem solving with us with regards to Mom's medication regimen. They are actively pursuing a more palatable option for one that she has a hard time taking. The grounds and buildings are lovely and well maintained, and meals are served in an intimate dining room. We especially like that there are three separate buildings for three levels of care: assisted living, transitional, and memory care. Residents are able to be with peers who are functioning at a similar level. Based on the first week, I give them high marks.
I know there is no place like home, but when a loved one requires more than you can provide at home, I highly recommend Farmington Square Tualatin. When you first have a loved one away from home it is an adjustment for both you and your family member. Seeing others with severe dementia can be very intimidating, but give them a chance, they are still in there and have a lot of lessons to teach us as caregivers. I am now able to have my husband at home, but he was in the Alpine memory care unit for 4 months. He received excellent care, the meals were amazing and he was treated with such dignity. There are many choices for residential care, but I cannot imagine anything better. The environment is clean and inviting, many activities are provided and each family is encouraged to participate. Many of the staff have been there a long time, which says to me that they are appreciated and love what they do for the people we love. Everyone from the administrative staff to housekeeping is friendly and kind and all listen to any concerns you may have. Sadly health care is expensive, but I consider Farmington Square a bargain for the quality of care and caring you will receive. I am happy that my husband is at home, but I miss the staff and residents and their families I got to know so well. There are always concerns in a community living environment, but when the time comes again when we need residential care.....Our first choice will be Farmington Square.
