The administrator of assisted living @VillageatKeizerRidge is very good. She is quick to respond to emails, inquiries, etc. and has an open door policy. She really listens to our questions and/or concerns and responds in a timely manner. Other great things to know about VKR: *There are dedicated med aides who do a GREAT job. *Activities abound at KR - the activities director is always planning something fun for residents to do to keep busy. From exercise class, to shopping excursions, a gardening club, flower arranging, movie nights, seasonal activities, plus much more. If a resident is bored, it’s their choice. *The caregivers treat residents with respect. As a result, they feel seen and heard. My family member often comments how she loves how they all “know my name” and tell her “hi” when they see her in the hallways or the dining room, etc. *If you are looking for a place for your loved one, consider checking out The Village at Keizer Ridge.

Wonderful people. Erin was wonderful to work with. Beautiful and warm atmosphere inside. Grounds outside were kept up and very nice. Definitely would advise any senior to come live here. Nice setup and a lot to do and they offer a lot.

In words I can’t express how difficult the last year was for my mom until I found VKR memory care. My mom needed a place where she could be in her own mind and VKR memory care has allowed her to be that person. She is independent, happy, active, and safe, with a compassionate staff caring for her. The staff work hard to make sure the needs of my mom and I have seen they done the same with other residents to make sure their needs are met. Memory care staff tailor services to meet the unique physical, social, and emotional needs of my mom which makes her happy. They have a very responsive group of caregivers who get to know each person living in memory care, plus the family members, and attend to their daily needs. I couldn’t ask for a more passionate group of individuals in memory care to take care of my mom. My mom means the world to me and knowing she is safe, happy, and cared for means a lot. Thank you

Our tour at Keizer Ridge (Monday 8-9-2021) was very impressive.The rooms we saw were clean and very nice. The hallways were wide and spacious with areas set off from the main hallways for visiting with company or other residents. Our dad has been a resident at VKR Memory Care unit for almost 3 years. He is happy and comfortable in his home environment.VKR staff has been committed to his care and safety. The few concerns weve had were always addressed by management in a timely manner. The facilities and especially your amazing staff have made our dad as comfortable as he could possibly be. I highly recommend The Village at Keizer Ridge to any senior and their family who find themselves making the difficult decision that an assisted living community is the next best step to ensure their loved ones health, safety, and quality of life. When the time came for my mother to move from my home to an assisted living community, I wanted to find the very best for her. I toured the 10 top-rated assisted living communities in the Salem-Keizer area with my extensive checklist of must haves. I saw many impressive and caring places. Yet, I was immediately won over by The Village at Keizer Ridge with their beautiful grounds, bright and roomy apartments, warm and helpful staff, and the overall atmosphere where residents were relaxed and happily engaged in conversations and activities with each other and staff. My mother said The Village at Keizer Ridge staff made her move easy ... especially Nancy, their Director; Joyce, one of their R.N.s; Steve, their Marketing Manager; Tracy, their Maintenance Manager, and Colleen, their Front Desk staff (who really wears a dozen hats to keep everything running smoothly). Mom really enjoys the food in the dining room, Sunday church services, the musical entertainment in the Bistro every Friday afternoon, the large fish aquarium, the gorgeous walking paths, and lots more. I am very grateful to The Village at Keizer Ridge for their dedicated and caring culture - and, again, highly recommend The Village to others who find themselves in need of a wonderful and enriching assisted living community.

Finally, a place for my Mom to call home! Our family has spent so much time looking for just the right place and were beginning to wonder if we'd ever find it! Then our neighbors suggested The Village at Keizer Ridge .. a beautiful place tucked away in Keizer and all we can say is WOW! Not only is the building beautiful, but the staff are so warm and welcoming that we really felt comfortable moving Mom into their care! She's been there almost a month, has made some new friends, and is very happy with her (our) decision! Thank you Everyone at The Village!

My mom has lived here about 1.5yrs now. The onboarding process was rough learning for both of us but now Ive got the hang of things, know who to locate, where they are, and how to reach them. The turnover doesnt seem that bad. Some of my very favorite staff from the dining room to the caregivers to the maintenance pro to the med techs to the gardeners to the receptionists are still there, and a lot of the new people they bring on are also very good choices in employees. Mom is well cared for, everyone seems to know what the latest is with their residents, and there is plenty to do there. I always feel like its a cruise ship and my husband and I have both said wed love it there!. The furnishings and decor are very modern and cozy, the rooms are nicely appointed and roomy bathrooms, efficient kitchen space. I recommend the place to everyone.

My mom is truly blessed to have found The Village. The staff (most notably Kyler DeVore) has patiently answered all my questions, been flexible with our changing timelines and needs and made this transition as easy as possible. Her apartment is beautiful and VERY spacious, and the entire facility feels like a 5 star hotel. The dining area features a wide variety of food on the restaurant menu and the food is delicious and plentiful..I have eaten there twice with my Mom. Residents can be as active as they want to be whether its a weekly country drive, lunch out or things to do right at the Village. Most importantly, to me, is the level of care she receives. Right now, my mom needs very little assistance, but she still gets a wellness visit everyday. The shuttle has already taken her to a dentist appointment, and an ARNP will be visiting her in her apartment. I am impressed with how safe she is there. I highly recommend the Village for anyone who is looking for a caring, welcoming and safe place for an elderly loved one.

The facility is beautiful and spacious for walkers and wheelchairs. The grounds are beautiful and well manicured. It is a great place to sit and enjoy or go for a walk. The apartments are clean and roomy. Some rooms look out at a raised bed garden. The food is delicious and well prepared for the residents. It is fresh and served hot. The wait staff is very friendly and helpful. Above all else, the staff is wonderful. The front desk greeters are always friendly and know residents, and often guests, by name. The care staff is responsive and caring. The feeling that my mom is well-cared for is a great sense of relief for me. My mom has lived in another assisted living facility and loves it at Keizer Ridge. There is no comparison. So many wonderful things too numerous to list.

We toured so many places for our parents and nothing felt right until we entered The Village at Keizer Ridge. We felt like we were coming home! Everyone we met was friendly and helpful. Even residents stopped to tell us how much they love living at The Village! Finally some peace of mind that Mom and Dad will be safe and happy together!

The Village at Keizer Ridge gave my wife and I a feeling of peace, comfort, and a sense of belonging the second we walked in the door. We came in the day they had the Elvis Show and to see a community and their residents so active was amazing. I come from a long line of healthcare employees, me being one of them and the responsiveness of the staff told me that I was choosing the best place for my mom. She has been here a couple weeks now and loves the community and all that they have to offer.

My parents were getting to a point in their life where they needed the ability to call for assistance if they needed it. After about three months of searching, taking my parents from community to community we finally settled on The Village at Keizer Ridge. This was such a hard decision to make as we had to ensure that the community felt like home to both of my parents and when we walked in they just knew this is where they wanted to go. I could not nor can my parents be any happier with the care, the love and the atmosphere they receive from The Village. 🙂

This community took care of my Mom and I can not recommend them enough. She enjoyed her stay there to the end of her life and made many friends. Nancy is a truly caring person and the best manager ever as evidenced by the fact her staff stays with her and her residents are happy. Every time I went to visit my Mom it felt like a family environment away from home. This community was the best decision me and my Mom ever made.

The Village staff is the best around. Their leader Nancy Steers Crist is such a blessing for her team, residents, and families. I am not sure how they all keep that special smile on, as their jobs can be challenging to say the least. In my opinion 5 star all the way.

After the holidays, we realized that our mom could no longer live alone in her home. After visiting The Village, we knew we had found the perfect place for her. Nancy and her team made the transition easy for us and mom is now happy and safe in her new apartment.

My mom has resided at The Village for a year and a half. She is very happy there and enjoys the friendships she has made, the activities and the outings. Mom has had several unfortunate health issues, and the whole staff rallied around her during her illness and her recovery. She has received excellent care. They were very communicative with the family during her illnesses and kept us up to date and involved in her care plan. The staff knows all the residents by name, and they are very attentive. The Village is immaculate, light and bright, squeaky clean, and full of amazing beautiful works of art, flowers, comfortable elegant furniture. My mom really enjoys events and socializing in The Bistro where they have lots of fun events like sing alongs, concerts, and a rousing civil war game party with the game on the big screen. As a former teacher, mom enjoys that all the holidays are observed, decorated for and celebrated. Derby Days, Mardi Gras, 4th of July, etc. And mom loves the raised gardens, fountains and especially the outdoor Lanais and covered patios. The Village is the real deal and a great value for the cost. My moms happiness there is priceless.

I'm the new Memory Care Director at Village at Keizer Ridge. I have over 20+ years experience managing various communities. The village is one of the best looking and managed that I have ever been a part of. The fine dining and food beats all others, hands down. The staff are caring and there is a loving family atmosphere that feels like home.

The Village is wonderful! Dad loves living there - the staff are delightful, professional and very, very kind. The facility is extremely well-maintained, light, bright and cheerful, even on a rainy day. My sister and I were worried that making the move from independent living to assisted living would result in a setback for our father, but he has thrived since he moved in.
