I was hospitalized, into drugs and not eating properly. I was living on my own but it didnt work out and then I was at another home but came here a year and half ago. Being at Humberstone has effect my life in a positive way. My basic needs are met to survive. i dont need a worker because I am doing well. Humberstone is run well by staff who are up to par. I recommend living here to other people!

I used to live on my own and worked in the medical profession. I started living at Humberstone Manor Supportive Living Residence for the last few years. Michelle is great – she is pleasant, thoughtful and very professional. I can come and go as I please and enjoy spending the day with friends once a week. I started working with the company three years ago and glad that I had the opportunity to do so. Its been a great experience working in the different homes like Humberstone Manor and all the residents and management. The personal growth and being supported by management has been great. The residents are friendly and appreciate everything you do. Thank you to Supportive Living team for being there for people who just need a little extra help to make their life better.

This past summer I volunteered at Humberstone Manor Supportive Living Residence by looking after the residents. These are an amazing group of people who really appreciated my company and help. And the time spent with them, I will never forget! Thank you to the CEO, Vishal Chityal, for being a great mentor and giving me the chance to give back! I am truly blessed to have had the opportunity to work with an organization that is committed to housing those who need it the most.

I lived home with my family but it didnt work out. I have been here for 2 years. I get along with the other residents, the staff is supportive and I am more independent and I have a set schedule and I come and go. I like the layout of the home, the privacy of my room and its a good social life. My friends come and visit me whenever.

I started working at White House Lodge Supportive Living residence two months ago and what can I say? I have worked in many group homes but found SupportiveLiving.ca to be a large, welcoming company, offering so much opportunity to grow. My decision to leave the other group homes and work at SupportiveLiving.ca was solely based on the amazing support I received from their management team. It is a breath of fresh air to know my voice is heard and they are committed to my success. While my home base is White House Lodge, I was given the opportunity to travel to other Supportive Living residences. It gives me the chance to work with a diverse set of residents, with various diagnoses, enabling me to learn different ways of how to help them. I am also delighted to work with a new community in direct coordination with churches or food banks. My job is never boring and my work keeps me on my toes. I highly recommended working here. JIJI Marydasan I joined SupportiveLiving.ca as as staff member almost two years ago in May 2018 when I was training to become a nurse. I was given a live-in position at Humberstone Manor Supportive Living Residence which was a great help to complete mystudies. My job is to help the residents adjust in their daily lives and my time spent with them allows me to learn how to assist them. If I need support, the SupportiveLiving management team is there to help resolve any issues. I have grown personally and professionally and I am proud to be working for a company that is helping the community.
