City View is a fantastic retirement home. It is an excellent building and offers independent living with great value. Lots of activities for residents, good food, excellent friendly staff and a nice bar and chapel. Plenty of nursing care available. Rooms are large and bright, very inviting. Excellent value for money.

Since its inception, once in a while I do visit City View Retirement Place and I always find it amazing the continual improvements made by its top management. I do mean, the maintenance of the buiding is never late, the staff always have time to smile and the kitchen is a great place to get dinners. My best comment is about a great relationship I developed for years with a nice Lady commenting : "It is the best Retirement Place I lived in the last 20 years".

Staff are good but the ownership group is beyond terrible. This building is infested with bed bugs. For almost 2 years our Father has been bed bug food. Enough of this, always get lip service but they are doing nothing to eliminate the problem. We are done with them. Use extreme caution if considering this building.

My aunt-in-law has been a resident at City View for 11 months and she is very happy. The staff are amazing, they treat everyone like part of their family. Food is exquisite thanks to the chef Mark and his team. The building is also maintained with quality and care.I highly recommend City View as it truly cares about its residents.

I work next door at the Mr. Mozzella. City View is a beautiful place!! The staff and managers are great and they take great care of the residents. I am in there all the time. This place is privately owned and the owners are there all the time and are the greatest. The staff seems to really care - what an awesome feeling going in there! Last week one owner was playing the piano and the other was helping a resident with something. You go in there and you feel the love for sure.

Absolutely beautiful retirement building with really loving and caring staff. Through the Covid Pandemic, the managers and staff worked hard to keep the residents safe, tended to the family needs, and just generally did a wonderful job. Even before the pandemic, this was truly a lovely home. It is a large building with over 185 rooms, yet they managed to keep Covid out of this building. Our hats go off to City View staff!! Thanks so much!!

I have a friend who is living at City View Retirement home for over a year and he loves it. Any time I am in the building the staff are always kind, friendly, caring and attentive to his needs. The nursing staff are great, very knowledgeable and willing to help. The management and owners of the home are very friendly and take the time to listen and help with anything that comes up in the home. It is very common to see the managers and owners rolling up their sleeves, helping with any task.and getting things done for the home City View is a great retirement home and I would gladly recommend it.

City View in my opinion is Ottawas best privately owned retirement home. A brand new building that offers independent and assisted living with large rooms at a great price. Every time I visit its super clean. The residents are happy and they are always doing activities. I even seen the owner playing the piano once. The nursing staff are great and are always around. They must have a great chef because the food is awesome. Id recommend City View to anyone looking to have a secure and worry free environment for a great price compared to other homes.

I was at the City View Christmas party last week with my uncle who has been living there for almost 2 years. What a great event. The food was amazing and the dinning room and the cafe was packed They had a really good and fun entertainer, who got everyone singing. And Santa Claus came by to visit and take photos. Christmas is important to us, and its great to see City View putting on such a great event to lead us into the season. Keep up the great work. We look forward to more wonderful events.

Home away from home is how I describe it. My mother recently moved into City View Retirement.The Staff are so welcoming and helpful whether your a guest or a Residents. Always a warm smile from the Front Receptionists to the Cleaning staff.The place is not big which makes it more personable. Big is not always better. The Staff knows their residents well, due to the place not overwhelming big.Residents have more opportunities to get to know each other through events.The place is a bright cheerful atmosphere, clean with modern features for added warmth.The Restaurant amazing food. I have experienced a few meals with my mother I am so impressed by the Chef and the Servers who have a wonderful cheerful attitude with its residents and guest.I am a picky eater find most retirement homes serve bland food. The City View Chef always has wonderful flavoured food, not bland food, and presentation well done Chef !!It turns out they grow their own herbs and spices to use in their kitchen. Garden tomato too. No wonder the food is exceptional.Activities Director ensures a variety of events through out the day with Special Trip outtings for the residents to look forward to.They have daily activities so there no lack of boredom for my mom.City View Retirement has a great sunny lounge where residents can socialize through out the day and evening on the main floor with beautiful big windows giving it a bright cheerful area to meet and greet ...Last, Management took extra care in assisting us with the move. They helped my mother feel welcomed, was very patient with my mothers indecisiveness, which was truly helpful to my sister and I.Thank you to The City View Staff and Team for helping my mother adjust and feel very welcomed.n a short amount of time my mother felt like she was in a retirement home that truly cares about them.Now my sister and I can rest at ease knowing my mother is in good hands when we are not therePenny Salamon

This is hands down the best retirement facility in Ottawa with its location, food and care options. Staff are welcoming and always care about residents needs even before you ask. I am very impressed with everything City View has offered.

Our grandfather has been at City View for over 2 years. I visit him monthly and usually have a bit to eat when I am there. The food is good and the service in the dining room has never been better. The chef (Mark)comes out and visits with the residents during meals to ensure there are no issues with the food or service. This is a nice touch. Grandpa enjoys the activities, darts and entertainers are his favourites. Satwinder, the director of care and the nursing staff are all-stars. Way to go! We are all very happy with this residence. Worth a visit if you are looking for a good home.

My mom lives here and is well taken care of. The retirement home is a perfect size so that the residents can easily intermingle. The staff are always friendly and accommodating to both my mom and to our family that are constantly in and out of the home. I highly recommend this retirement home.

This is a great facility with amazing staff who take very good care of their residents. My family have been visiting there for years and have never had any concerns over the care and safety of our loved one. Dont listen to everything you hear or any of the negative reviews, go and check it out for yourself. I guarantee you wont be disappointed.

While planning and researching the best options for my aging parents, I luckily came across City View Retirement Community. This place is not only a very welcoming and professional organization but a very well appointed and located community. Located just steps away from major bus routes, as well as shopping makes this an ideal solution. Add in the very professional and friendly staff and you you have a safe, engaging and clean property to call home. So happy to have found it.

If your loved one is looking for a retirement home, search no further; City View could be their next residence. Our mother has been living there for almost three years and she likes it a lot. The staff (management, nurses, PSW) are caring, compassionate and make her feel safe, all on a first name basis. The food is good and her room is always clean. Unfortunately, she fell a short while ago and was hospitalised. After a few weeks, she returned to the residence, but still in excruciating pain. One of City Views physicians suggested the X-rays be redone because there had to be a reason for her pain. The results revealed she had a fractured vertebrae. The recuperation will be slow but her well-being is monitored by the nurses and staff. Meals were brought to her room for the first few days but she now goes to the dining room by herself. Her medical, physical and spiritual needs are met at City View Retirement. It really is Ottawas Best Kept Secret.

As a senior myself, I have been working as a housekeeper at City View for 6 months now and am enjoying all aspects of this environment. All the staff, from Personal Support Workers, Nursing, Housekeepers, Kitchen and Dining Staff, to all the wonderful managers we have there, make this job a most enjoyable one. I love talking to the residents and being there for all of them when they need me. It feels as if we are all part of one big family, in a way we are their extended family. If youre a compassionate person and looking for a rewarding job in so many ways, why not come and check out City View, you wont be disappointed.

Very Clean modern Retirement Home . Friendly Professional attentive staff answered all, any questions I had. Rooms were very bright and were a good size. Residents and Staff are always smiling. Had a chance to try the food and it was great too. Very Convenient Location as well.

My mom has been a resident of the City View retirement community for the past 2.5 years. During this time, I found the staff to be friendly and compassionate towards her needs (mild dementia). I am particularly happy with the nursing staff that is very attentive and willing to listen to her specific needs. Also I am particularly grateful to the Food Manager, Mark Meagher who has gone out of his way to alter meals for my mom so that she benefits from the meal plans. City View Retirement Centre is an amazing retirement residence that is located in a fantastic spot close to shopping. It has a wonderful GM who has 30+ years of experience. The nurses and the staff are great. They have Independent and assisted living both! I found it to be very clean and the food is excellent. Theyve also got a great new underground parking garage! Looks like a very nice place to live.

I have been part of City View Retirement Home now for almost 2 years. Very proud to say that. Every single person who is part of here goes beyond anything that is asked of them because our residents are our family, and our team members are like family. All of us in our cozy, warm City, support each other above all else. Not a day has gone by without laughter, some singing, telling jokes or giving a ear to someone who just needs to talk. Im a honest person so please take it from me when I say, I love everything about City View, as an employee here for a long time, I never ever would leave this fantastic, humble, caring, fun, great energy, home. Home sweet Home.
