My experience at one kenton place is fantastic. I had very good experience with all staff and my supervisor. Rachel (my supervisor) is so nice , she teach us everything related to work. She always motivate and assist us to run program. If I did any mistake, she always teach me in positive way. I think that I had a great time here at one kenton place . I just want to say thank you to rachel and all recreation staff to teach me and help at each step of my placement.

Google Review of One Kenton Nine months ago we were searching for a residence for my 96 year old father who was struggling at home alone with dementia. As a family we decided that despite daily PSW support it was no longer safe for him to continue living on his own. I consider myself blessed that we contacted One Kenton for a tour and a meeting with their administrative staff. We were assured that his physical and mental well-being was their first priority and I can confirm that our experience has been nothing short of excellent and has enhanced and likely extended my father's life despite living with this wretched disease. Their daily health and safety protocols kept residents safe throughout the pandemic and I believe have kept him more ambulatory and healthy than he would have been living alone at home. Daily activities, exercise and nutritious meals tailored to his needs have kept him engaged and supported in a safe environment. It is an extremely clean, bright and positive space for seniors. It is also a supportive environment for families trying to understand the challenges of the disease and support their aging family members. The staff is empathetic, cheerful and have an abundance of patience and understanding for seniors coping with complicated health issues. I would highly recommend this facility for family members who want their loved one in a safe and supportive residence with staff that are committed to helping their residents live their best lives.

I've had my job placement here (PSW) I would like to thank Ms. Genet for such an Amazing Preceptor, I've learned a whole lot from Her. My Wife and I had the pleasure of working with the staff at One Kenton in support of my Mom's dementia. We can't say enough good things about the staff at the facility. Caring, communicative and loving are just a few of the adjectives that come to mind. Staff to resident ratios are incredible. My Mom's stay at One Kenton was relatively short as "the Man upstairs" had other plans for her. Even in her passing, the staff never forgot about the family. We truly appreciate all of the support and specialized care that Mom received in her final days.

My Dad has been at One Kenton Place since 2019. Since day he arrived my dad has been treated with love and care you would want from a long care home. Everyone here is polite caring and very friendly. Every time I see my dad he looks great, because I know hes well taking care of. This is the perfect place if your love one suffers from Alzheimers.

I want to commend Ruth Dayan for her exemplary management of the COVID crisis at One Kenton Place. If you are 70 years old, as I am, the possibility of catching COVID is a frightening prospect. It is even more terrifying when your mother is in her 90s in a long-term care residence. I heard the stories of the outbreaks and the deaths. One Jewish home lost seven residents, another lost ten. But One Kenton has not lost a single resident to COVID 19. How can you account for it, except for good fortune and the strict measures put into effect by a leader who was able to inspire every person on her team to maintain the discipline necessary to achieve that welcome result.I am not surprised. What always strikes me about Ruth is her big heart. She is firm but compassionate. Whenever I spoke to her about my concerns, no matter how busy she was or how burdened, I always felt she was listening to me with empathy and complete attention. And when action had to be taken on my mothers behalf, she took it and made sure to follow through to the desired outcome.Finally, and what impresses me most about Ruth, is how she has grown into a difficult job, one that has thrown many a seasoned CEO in health care. I met her shortly after she came to One Kenton, and noted how she would deal with whatever her role required. No matter the challenge, even a global pandemic, she has met it with resourcefulness and a stunning, personal grace. It seems to come from character within. If she is overwhelmed, and she must be, she keeps going and does the job. You cant help but have confidence that Ruth will come through for your loved one at One Kenton. At a time when I was not able to visit or be there for my mother in the way I was accustomed, I had to entrust her to Ruth and the caregivers in her charge. Ruth Dayan did not let me down and I cannot help but be grateful to her and her service to my mother and our family.

My mother in law, Lynda resided at One Kenton Place for 3.5 years until her death. She lived in security with dignity and comfort.Kenton is a small, unique facility with a family environment. All areas in the building are exceptionally clean and well maintained with free visitor parking. The building is located in a residential neighborhood overlooking a large green space with several wheelchair and walker-friendly routes.The common rooms and dining rooms are spacious, bright and cheerful with large windows. There is an outdoor eating and social area on the main floor as well as a lovely shaded outdoor garden patio on the North side of the building. Each floor has its own dining room with an attached common area. They are well appointed, comfortable, bright and welcoming with large windows.The staff is wonderfully compassionate, with nurses and an in house doctor, they were very attentive to Lyndas well being. They assisted in providing a secure and stress free environment. The management was proficient and quick to accommodate Lyndas individual and unique requirements. There was great attention to her (diabetic) diet with a customizable menu that included plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables. Lynda enjoyed the various daily physically and mentally stimulating programs, as well as the occasional music program.The community atmosphere is pleasant and Lynda made new friends. My wife and I spent many happy hours participating in programs and meals with her. In the summer we would walk around the neighborhood and then have tea and quiet time watching TV together in her room. Lynda soon felt right at home.I would recommend One Kenton Place for anyone with dementia or Alzheimers that needs extra special care

My husband was one of the earliest residents of One Kenton Place and remained there for over six years until his death.Throughout his transition from physically robust to totally incapacitated, he was always treated with dignity, kindness and patience.One Kentons standard of care was always exemplary at every level: Director of Care; Assistant Director of Care; Nurse Manager; nursing staff; PSWs; laundry, cleaning, recreational and kitchen staff. This is likely why the home has managed to remain Covid free.I had frequent and open communication with the Director of Care, the Assistant Director of Care and the Nurse Manager on an ongoing basis. I always felt informed about my husbands health and any issues which arose as he deteriorated.When he became very ill, the support, competence and compassion of the staff was exceptional.As a family, we knew we did not have to worry about the care of our loved one while he lived at One Kenton; that relieved a huge burden from our shoulders.It was always a great comfort to us that he was not only well cared for, but we knew he was cherished.

It is a long overdue review. I was thinking of doing the review for Onekenton Place for their dedication of taking care of my frail old parents. We always feel blessed that my parents are under their care.My parents have been living at Onekenton Place for more than 2 years. It is a friendly place. The staff is always pleasant and treat the residents respectably. The care director, assistant director and nurse manager are all very caring and check on the residents regularly. My parents, and couple of residents, dont speak English, but management always try to arrange the PSWs who can speak their language to work with them. They maintain a stringent health protocol to keep the home safe for the elderly and fragile residents during special time. As the home receives no subsidies from the government, the owner and the director just went beyond and above to acquire the necessary PPE and raising staff wages to cope with the pandemic, out of their pockets.My parents are happy over there, and importantly, they gain weight than they stayed by themselves. Dr. Lau from Toronto Western Hospital, who has been seeing my father for many years, commented that my dad is healthier than before.Overall it is an exceptional home - good management, great staff, well organized, and importantly, caring community who put the residents first,

I recently started as a volunteer and Im amazed about the great work employee are doing with the residents. Residents are always clean, and good care is provided daily. Management is very knowledgeable and they want the best for their residents. They have lots of different activities, programs, and they try to work with all the residents. The building is very new, and well maintained. Also something Ive notice is that anywhere you go in the building smells really good.

My mom is in One Kenton and the care is amazing. She had previously two full time caregivers and I was the organizer and driver. Now when I visit Im just the visitor and all the care functions are looked after professionally and compassionately. I wish my mom didnt have domestic but since she does One Kenton is the best place Ive found to care for her. In fact, since she moved in there she actually improved.

Sadly, the two negative reviews that were recently posted by Sean & George are FAKE. Sean Kayvon is the owner of the Spy Shop DoBuyDirect, and has never set foot into One Kenton Place. He sold us a broken camera and then refused to replace it, stating that hes tired of dealing with stupid customers. Sean makes it a point of leaving bad reviews for businesses that have complained about his business and how he treats his customers. Just check out his reviews and then cross reference them with reviews that were left on his business.
