As a senior citizen in my nineties, I have had to give up my independent living and choose an alternative. I the last ten (10) years, therefore, I have lived in more than one facility in order to be near my family members. In all my moving, I have had several workers who attended to my needs. One of those who has provided exceptional care and problem solving for me is Jessica Walker, the Resident Care Director at Sand Sage of the Highlands in Mustang, Oklahoma. Not only has she provided excellent personal care and advice, she has dealt with druggists and physicians to solve their questions about my health issues. She has contacted them by phone, met with me, and my family members when necessary, and has done so herself with knowledge and tact, which I appreciate. I have not always found such excellent service in the four (4) other places I've lived for geographic reasons. My mom is a new resident. Megan worked very hard to get her medically qualified. Because Megan didn't give up, my mom is now at a place she loves. The rooms are spacious and nice and clean. She calls her room her own mini apartment. Every staff person I have met so far has been kind and helpful. They treat my mom like a queen. Can't forget the food - she tells me they have very good cooks! Would highly recommend Willowood. Thanks to all of you for making the move so smooth!

I have been doing Senior Living for 14+ years now and Willowood is honestly hands down the best community I’ve had the pleasure of being a part of .The residents are truly amazing and seeing them happy is what warms my heart at the end of the day but with that being said they aren’t just residents to us they are family and that goes for the staff as well. I can honestly say we aren’t just a community but a home with lots of family that loves each other fiercely and unconditionally and I feel beyond blessed every single day that I get to be a part of this family and if you get the opportunity, take it! The amount of compassion and grace isn’t something you will find anywhere other than here.

My mother has lived here for 4 years now. She is very happy here and all of the staff go out of their way to ensure that her needs are met and that she is content. No place is perfect and there have been a few "bumps" over the years but the management company and care team that is in place now go above and beyond. The facility is clean and has been given a face-lift making it very warm and welcoming. I would highly recommend Willowood to anyone looking for a quality home for their loved one.

My mom has called Willowood Assisted Living in Mustang her “home” for almost 10 years. She moved there in 2013 due to some minor health issues that she needed daily assistance with and has loved every minute of it. It’s only been recently that I have gotten to know the staff due to my moms health declining and having to move to the memory care unit. The past 9 months with my mom living in the memory care unit have been a roller coaster of emotions. The administrative staff: Amanda, Megan, Jillian and Lisa have truly been amazing. They have helped my sister and I navigate through making the best decision for my moms care. The staff (Leona, Gerard, Brooklynn, Janessa, Jessica, Sadie, and Jackie, to mention a few)that take care of her on a daily basis have become family to her and I absolutely do not worry about her well being. I know that she is well taken care of and loved. Everyone that I have worked with at Willowood has been so welcoming and approachable and has made this experience the best that it can be considering the situation. I highly recommend Willowood Assisted Living if you are looking for care for you loved one. It’s not your typical assisted living facility. They truly strive to set themselves a part from this industry’s norm.

Beautiful building, the rooms are nice and spacious. The staff is incredibly kind, helpful, and interested in the residents. I love that they do fun activities daily and try to get everyone involved. Everything looks and smells clean. The food always looks good.I would definitely recommend this place for anyone having to make the difficult decision of putting a loved one in assisted living.

They put my grandma at Willowood after she fell and broke her hip. She loved it there! People were nice to her, they took good care of her, and she was genuinely happy while she was there. The place is clean and the food is alright. Like most places that care for lots of people there were occasional issues but they were always corrected. Willowood does a good job and if my grandma still needed Assisted living we would not hesitate to bring her back.

Everyone is very friendly, & trying to do the best job they can. It really helps to try & have the same cnas & med. nurses working their respective shifts! The patients get to knowing them better & the workers knows the patients much better! In my opinion , it has really helped having Alexia working at Willowood. Ive been connected with Willowood memory care for More than 2 years now, & she has really made a difference in care there!Ive found her to always have time to listen to any complaints you might have, let her know how much we appreciate her! When the quarantine is over, wish we could Start family night again!

My Mom lives at Willowood and I visit with her often so I am very aware of the things that happen at Willowood. I am beyond thrilled with the care Mom gets from her caregivers (Both Megs, both Taylors, Juliet, Narissa, Nakia and too many to name). They stay on top of ALL her health care needs and keep her room clean along with the whole building inside and outside. Kimberly has made many awesome changes since becoming director and has remodeled with pretty furniture by adding nice comfy sitting areas, landscaped the grounds with pretty gardens to make a place the residents and families can be proud of to tell others where their family members live. It isnt so much about how pretty a place is, but how the residents are treated and respected by the staff. My Mom loves doing fancy nails and playing Bingo. Mom feels the love at Willowood all the way from Rudy who takes care of maint., Betty making her special grilled cheese sandwiches, Meg making up her bed pretty and always double checking to make sure she is ok, Taylor helping her in and out bed during the night, and Narissa loving on her and making the residents smile. You will never find a better assisted living for your loved one. Willowood ROCKS! I do not work at Willowood nor am I related to anyone at Willowood other than my Mom this post is from my heart.
