If I could give Arden Court a 10 star I would. I’ve needed them a few times for respite care for my 86 year elderly mother. The whole staff have been more than accommodating and pleasant to communicate with. The staff even remembered her the second time months later when I needed their help when I had a a fire in my home. I can’t speak more highly of Arden Court in Parma. Sean is so easy and wonderful to work with. I highly recommend them.

Arden Courts is a lovely environment inside and out, but more importantly, the staff are impressive, they are generally concerned for the well-being of their residents. It is obvious that many of the staff have been in our shoes. We knew this was the best place for our mom after our tour and conversations with Sean. Although it was a difficult decision to move our mom from her home, we are confident we made the right choice, we feel blessed!

Arden Courts provides expert care based on solid science research for loved ones with dementia thereby providing total peace of mind for family. Under direction of Sean Grandage, communication is fantastic, phones are always answered, one is directed to the person one needs to connect with and all issues are addressed with care and respect. Staff totally understand late Sundowners! Staff are courteous and kind. Arden Courts is designed to create a Home type feel and my loved one is more comfortable and happier there then the last few months at home. Arden Courts provides many in house services with medical professionals that are very experienced with dementia such as a psychiatrist, nurses who specialize in dementia, a podiatrist and PT from Integrity home services. There has been very little turn around in staff despite Covid and everyone I have encountered is passionate about what they do at Arden Court, it is not just a job to them, it is their calling. The food is fresh and individual needs are met as my loved one is very particular about her food and has some severe allergies as well. After researching several memory care centers I am so grateful to have found Arden Courts of Parma and finally have peace of mind that my loved one is in the best place she can be with people who understand her needs and treat both her and me with the respect we deserve.

The son shall remain anonymous in this post. In recent days more information has developed on the issue of Arden courts of Parma, and the director of visitations [Name Removed] inability to cope with a simple mistake made by a family member of a resident at the care facility. To make it perfectly clear, [Name Removed] has suspended a man who has taken care of his mother with dementia for 4 years over a video that accidentally showed another resident for a brief moment when this man was filming him and his mother chatting about their days. Immediately after the man realized the mistake he removed the video from his account within the day of it being posted, yet [Name Removed] has upheld this suspension. [Name Removed] gave ZERO warning and ZERO chances for the man to come back and see his mother, a meeting was held and the man had left respectively and kindly out of differing opinions, however [Name Removed] was adamant that because the man left the meeting his suspension will be upheld because he’s a “loose link” or something like that came out of a director of visitations mouth. Someone who is in charge of whether you see your loved ones or not essentially called you a lost cause. This is by far the most unprofessional behavior I’ve seen in any field of health care. Unfortunately there is STILL more to this situation that [Name Removed] and the Arden courts of Parma’s care workers are inflicting on this son and his mother. Being that the man had taken care of his mother for 4 years he was adverse to sending her to a home, however he agreed to give it a try and allow his mother to see how it feels, the care home took advantage of this, not only that, but the 2 first days that the mans mother had been there she suffered a FALL in the dining room and is now recovering from 2 black eyes an abrasion on the middle of her forehead and they needed to put stitches in the back of her head, she was then left in supervised sleeping in the dining hall following the incident. When this was addressed by the man in the meeting one of the attorneys involved in taking this mans mother away from him remarked “we can put a football helmet on her head”. This SCREAMS NEGLIGENCE, the fact that the care home made a remark themselves claiming “falls happen”, shows that they aren’t really concerned for their patients, rather they are more about the insurance money and what you owe them. This care home is DANGEROUS and puts their residents who have dementia and other diseases that hinder their abilities to be on their own, into situations where they are unsupervised which can be a direct risk to their own lives, her fall could have been much worse, yet no action has been taken to prevent further situations, instead they want to focus on their policies involving people filming their own family members and accidentally getting a brief moment of another resident in the video, which just goes to show their priorities are more about money and the laws around how you get to take care and interact with your mother, rather than the safety and care of their residents. It is undeniable that this care facilities actions are dangerous and neglectful and their decisions led to a resident being unsupervised in a dining room fall. What does this say about how this care facility has been running? Well it seems that if someone were to dig deeper into the records of this private healthcare facility they may find instances in which this facility has been a direct cause to the deterioration of its own residents, as well as the care facility being directly involved in the so called “accidents” in which they leave their residents unsupervised and put them at risk of falling or accidentally hurting themselves. If this care facility continues to suspend this man from seeing HIS OWN MOTHER then these reviews will continue more information is going to come out about this facilities negligence and this operation will be shut down. There are health care workers and facilities that care about their patients, this is not one of them.

Arden Courts has been the most excellent gift to our family. My Dad and My Gramma, 20 years in age apart, have both been residents for the past 2 years and we couldnt be more pleased with the support, care, and love theyve received. My Gramma Malvine just passed on January 18, 2020, and again the staff—Pam, Sean, Jessica, Sandy, all the caregivers, hospice workers, have been kind, caring and going above and beyond to help us navigate yet another transition. If you have a family member in need of residential Memory Care—THIS is your place. Their kindness, communication and support to family members is as precious as their care of their residents. Truly amazing place!!! ~Michelle Perrigo

We are new to Arden courts in Parma and we couldn’t be happier! Mom is 86 with some dementia and they are so good with her- as with all the residents! The employees are very dedicated and compassionate! Cleanliness is also a priority at Arden courts- which is good- because my Mom likes everything clean! The family support is also a positive- I highly recommend Arden Courts!
