Working with Home Care Assistance of Dayton these pasts three years has been a very rewarding experience. The team is great, they work on matching you with the right client so both parties are comfortable. The training is easy to understand for both workers and clients, and retaining is available when you need to brush up on your skills or simply have questions they are there with an answer. There is always someone on the 24-7 emergency line to help you as the caregiver and if need be, there are extra resources to help you personally adjust to the demands of your job and the specific need base of your client. Overall, being here has been a life-changing experience.

Home Care Assistance of Dayton has been an amazing place to work. Everyone in the office not only cares tremendously about the clients and their well-being, but they care tremendously about their caregivers as well! Any time you have questions, dont feel comfortable with a situation, want more training, etc., they make sure you are taken care of. They also make sure you are recognized when you are going above and beyond for your clients. I am so proud to have been part of the HCA team due to their great emphasis on the best possible care for their clients. As an employee, I have learned so much from working at HCA. I have learned so many valuable skills to transfer into my future career as a nurse, and have built wonderful, unforgettable relationships with so many amazing clients. I highly recommend HCA as a place to work for anyone who has a passion for caregiving and working with the elderly. I truly believe there is no better company in the area!

Working with HCA has been a positive experience from the very beginning. Mark and LaTara have been so kind in helping us determine the best levels of care for our Mom. They have been attentive and responsive to her changing needs and our requests for additional services. LaTara keeps us informed throughout the process and is always accessible to speak with any one of our family members.Our team of caregivers are wonderful and have become truecompanions for mom. Stephanie, in particular, has become like family and genuinely shares her care and concern for Moms well being. The online family room link is a wonderful way to get daily updates onhow Mom is doingand responding to the care.We are very grateful to HCA for all their support during this pandemic.It pains us not to be able to be with Mom. Weve not stepped foot in her apartment now in over 8 months. She has been so lonely and lost since all of this started, but knowing that HCA is able to be there with her every day: morning, afternoon and evening, really helps allay our worries . We know she is in good, caring hands.Thank you.

My mother, who has severe dementia, returned to her senior community after a major fall and some rehab. She still needed extra TLC upon her return, and Home Care Assistance was the only local organization that worked to get their caregivers to fit the schedule I wanted for my mother 7 days a week. My mothers main caregiver is a true superstar - she never fails to make my mother smile, and her attention to detail with my mother is phenomenal. I couldnt ask for anyone better. LaTara and everyone else has been very responsive with any questions and concerns I have had.

Our Care Manager, LaTara, who is so professional, kind, and responsive through many scheduling changes, did a thorough job learning about my moms concerns for her husbands care and carefully matched him with his caregiver, Dylan. Dylan spent time engaging our step-dad, listening to stories of his life, learning about his jazz music collection, going for walks, and taking him to appointments and outings. He was calm, patient and friendly. We were very satisfied with the care we received from Home Care Assistance.

I have researched multiple facilities, companies, and individuals none have shown the concern I have seen from Home Care Assistance of Dayton.They are professional while being extremely caring. Things my mother did not want me to do they have been able to do. My mother was not happy when I started this. She looks forward to the company and the fact that she is able to do her laundry again. They assist her(as she wanted) without taking over. Things most people take for granted my mother is enjoying again. She will be gardening again for the first time in years.La Tara(the case) manager has gone beyond the call of duty. I have received regular emails and updates. If there has been issues they have shared them in a way that is so appreciated. To be honest I know a lot more about my mothers day then I did before. She has a lot more care now because I have a person with her during the day and I can fill the gaps she is alone. It has taken so much stress out of my life. There is only so much one person can do and they have been a blessing to this one person!

My siblings and I have been using Home Care for our 99 year old father for almost 2 years. Mersades has been with us the whole time as our afternoon aide and she is like a part of the family. All the Aides have been wonderful. LaTara and Mark have been great in making sure we have everything we need. Even when I give them short notice for extra shifts. (smile)

The company itself in broad perspective is knowledgeable. They understand clients come first and their needs. However, being an employee (in my experience ONLY) began wonderfully. The interview process was thorough and Amber gave a step by step introduction to the company . The owners themselves seem like wonderful people. When you walk through the doors, you do not expect to be greeted by them; and you are. Definitely not a suit and tie persona, unlike other companies. They are extremely personable.Certain circumstances arose where I was unsure if I would be able to attend a shift. Circumstances I could not prevent or predict. Most of the time the on call person (someone within the office) was pleasant and understanding.n health care as an office administrator you MUST listen to your employees. The good, the bad and the ugly. One person can leave a bad taste in your mouth and unfortunately, this was my experience.f you pride yourself (your company) in having an open door policy, do not insinuate your caregiver is lying when they are giving you information that was told to them from another individual in your office. I decided to go PRN (due to having another career) and unable to commit to a schedule. Amber was supportive of this change and it went into effect immediately. Although, that one member in the office, still left a bad taste in my mouth and because of that, I wont return.Communication is key, and follow up is even more vital.

LaTara was extremely helpful in getting the service that my parents needed especially on such short notice. Many of the staff that help provide 24 hour service I did not get to meet but my mother was very pleased with how kind and helpful everyone was.

We used Home Care Assistance for about 4 months to help my Mom get through a tough period with anxiety. The owners were very responsive and sent someone out very quickly to do an assessment. They were very flexible in trying to get the right caregiver that fit with my Moms needs. We ended up with a caregiver for weekdays and a second caregiver on the weekends. They were both very helpful and assisted in my Moms recovery allowing her to move into an independent living facility. I would recommend this organization.

More importantly, their caregivers are exceptional -- assisting my husband, Ron, with his with his daily routines, catering to his meal preferences and chatting together.
