My dad has lived at Tennyson for one year as of today. I know this because the administration invites family in regularly and provides updates. Communication with family is a key element to their care. My Dad has been to multiple nursing homes and rehab centers over the years with his health challenges. Tennyson is the best location he ever been by a long shot. He says so and our family thinks so. The staff could not be nicer and goes out of their way keep everyone involved. The place is beautiful with courtyards and the inside is spotless. When you walk down the hall, residents pass by and say hello. It is clear that this is a place that nurtures happiness to residents and their families. They have their own wheelchair equipped "limo-bus" to take residents to appointments whenever needed and my dad reports the food is great too. When he first arrived a year ago after a surgery he had a wheelchair and could barely get out of bed. Today (one year later) he has friends and is walking the halls (with a walker) and socializing. He is enthusiastic about his own progress and the staff (and me) are so happy. This place is a gift to him after such a hard battle with illness.

My grandmother has lived at this community for over 4 years. The facility is beautiful and very well kept. However, this appearance isn't what sets this place apart. The care that's been provided over the years has been incredible. Every time I visit Nana their is a big smile on her face, the staff know her by name, and she raves about how much fun she has.

My Aunt and Uncle moved in the week before COVID shut everything down last year. The move was not something that was necessarily pre-planned on their part. The staff was AMAZING and made the transition for them much easier! They listen to your needs and concerns and truly LOVE their residents as though they are part of their own family. They made COVID family visiting as best as could be possible with all the regulations and did their best to make sure the residents werent too isolated. Cant say enough about how happy we are and have been about my Aunt-Uncles move into Tennyson!

Tennyson Court is an amazing place. My father became a resident in the assisted living area there last year and is doing great! These are some of the most caring and compassionate people Ive ever met. Theyre very responsive to requests or questions, and genuinely listen to any concerns you may have. Though my father has Alzheimers and isnt very social, their activities are wonderful. There are concerts, ice cream socials, scenic bus trips, trivia nights, movie nights, and so much more. They do daily water drop offs at residents rooms to ensure hydration for seniors who may not remember to do so. The meals are great and healthy, they pass out snacks each day, wash residents laundry, clean their rooms and showers, and offer companionship to seniors who may feel lonely or scared. Placing a loved one in a facility is never an easy decision, but sometimes you have to pull the trigger for both their and your own health. We visited numerous places a few years back, and were confident that Tennyson Court was the place for my father. Throughout the last year with Covid-19 wreaking havoc on the world, I am beyond satisfied with how these folks kept family members in the loop and how they handled the pandemic with grace and care. They sent weekly updates on visitation policies, vaccine opportunities, and how they were keeping the residents spirits up when the families werent able to make it in. Also, they always send weekly activity calendars and regular communication about the events at the facility. I hate naming names because I always feel that Ill leave someone out!, but Sue, Lynn, Tracy, Mary Anne, Amy, and Eric are people whove helped my father and treated my family with such respect that I cant begin to thank them enough. Do your research, look at reviews, visit facilities, and give Tennyson Court a look. The rest and peace of mind youll have knowing your family member is safe and cared for is truly life changing.

My name is Latoya P. and I started working here in June and I love it! I also love all the residents there and we treat them like family. There are pros and cons everywhere you go but this place is a place to work and send your family. I seen a comment saying there are no raises or bonuses that is not true as of today. Lots of bonuses and yes we get an a raise.

After a long trip to rehab my father could not return home so we started looking at all the different communities in Williamsville and found Tennyson. They made the transition from rehab to there very easy. My father is very happy with the care and activities. Every time I visit the facility is clean and I finally feel that he is in a safe place.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Tennyson Court. After several bad experiences with five star rated assisted living facilities, we have finally found someplace that treats my father with the care and respect he deserves. He has been there for several months, and we have absolutely no complaints. The staff is superb - he, and his room, are always clean, fed, etc. Any questions we have had or requests regarding the care of my father have been addressed instantly. They treat him with dignity and respect and, when he is being difficult, they know him and are able to cajole him into what he needs to do. If we cannot make it there everyday,, we do not worry that he is being taken care of. They have so many activities and had a beautiful acknowledgement luncheon for veterans on Veterans Day at Russells. I attended a Christmas party for my dads wing last night with him and it was off the charts - absolutely fantastic. If anyone is in the process of trying to find a place for mom or dad, I know how difficult it can be, and I recommend you stop in at Tennyson - totally recommend them without any reservation.

Tennyson Court really helped our family! My 90 year old grandmother stayed there for a respite stay over the Easter break. My mom and dad have been caring for my grandmother for the past 2 years at home and really wanted (needed) to get away. They took care of my grandmother so my parents could celebrate their anniversary and be away for 2 weeks. Everything went well and our family was very happy with the care and the workers.

My mother entered memory care recently. The transition from our home to Tennyson Court was not stressful because of the guidance from Susan and her staff. All employees that we’ve met, have been kind and respectful to Mom and our family. I know she will be getting the best care possible. I am very happy that we chose Tennyson Court. Peter Costanzo

My friend's mom, who recently passed, lived most of her final days at Tennyson until she had to go into skilled nursing. Whenever I visited, I saw caring and compassion from all the staff who interacted with her. My friend's family was happy with her care. As with every elder who undergoes a major change in living, there was an adjustment, but her room was pretty and bright, and she had a view of a courtyard area. It was very homey and clean. I saw the food, which was sometimes delivered to entice her to eat, and I have to say it looked and smelled great! Staff was friendly and efficient, so from what I could see this is a great place.

My parents have been at Tennyson for about 10 months. I have a parent in memory care and a parent in the regular assisted living. My family has been very pleased with the care and the community in general. One thing I have noticed is that every time one of us has a question, we always get an answer. Our mom was in memory care at a place close to Tennyson and the care was awful. When our dad needed AL we made the move for both. The difference in care and communication has been a wonderful change. I wish the room was a bit larger but the community is beautiful and overall we are very pleased.

This place has gone way downhill since my Mom moved in about a year and a half ago. The Administrator from then left and took much of the senior staff. Since then they have had two other Administrators. And the high staff turnover has been happening throughout the facility which makes for very poor care. We have seen both the medical care and the daily care decline considerably. While the facility is nice and mostly kept clean, and there are staff that do care, that really becomes secondary if the quality of life is suffering and the medical care isn't well done.

Tennyson Court is very client and family oriented. We had a 90th birthday party there on Saturday and they were just terrific in helping us have a successful day! We asked for an got extra trash recepticles and a dustpan and broom. We ordered meatballs and chicken tenders from the kitchen and they came on time and hot. When they saw we could use another table they supplied one. They could not have been more helpful! It is a fabulous facility for our loved one!!!

I visited many locations for the care of my aunt after she had a stroke. Tennyson Court was the location I selected for many reasons. The facility was clean, bright, and cheery. The format has only 14 residents per quad, and made it feel more comfortable and not overwhelming for my aunt. Once my aunt moved in, the staff was very helpful and friendly which made my aunt feel well cared for. There were many social activities that both my aunt and the residents very much enjoyed. Unfortunately my aunt suffered a stroke and passed away. I would recommend Tennyson Court to anyone looking for care for their love ones.

My mother was a resident there for over seven years. I truly believe her stay there was a big part of her living until 100 years old. I felt her care was excellent. This was a second family to her. The facility is kept up well, clean and inviting, just big enough not to confuse an elder. The staff truly seemed like they liked their work and the residents. If there was a question or concern, it was addressed immediately, a big plus here. Only have nice things to say about Tennyson.

My mother-in-law has been living at Tennyson Court since July, 2016. We moved her from another community where we did not feel she was getting enough attention and she wasn't thriving. We have noticed an amazing transformation in her since she has been at Tennyson. She is active and engaged again, her seems better, she is happier, has made very nice friends and the staff are wonderful with her. Every one of the staff know her, from maintenance on up, including the administration team. There are an amazing group of aides who help with picking out her outfits for the day, help her take a shower and always keep her room looking neat and tidy. The in-house nurse practitioner help correct her medications and she seems a lot clearer and looks and acts more like her old self. She is eating really well, when before she was barely eating and losing weight. Because of the design of Tennyson, it is very easy for her to find her way to activities, etc. She no longer has to manage an elevator or long, confusing corridors. The household dining rooms are a welcome, home-like addition. This setting has made it easy for her to make new friends, something that has always been a big part of her life. Her room size is perfect and looks beautiful. She now goes on outings, and participates in a wide range of adult activities. My husband, family and I are happy and relieved knowing that she is well cared for and is enjoying a very full life.
