Best place for senior community in the Capital District area! Staff is very attentive and provides care in a loving, friendly way. Residents are great, too. It totally has the feel of family.. and I wouldn’t have my mom anywhere else. They truly made transitioning to this environment so much easier than expected.

My Mother has been at this facility for 4 years and our family is very pleased with the care she has received especially during these difficult couple of years. She enjoys the caring Staff and the variety of activities. I highly recommend Peregrine Crossgates.

I must share with everyone that in looking for assisted living for your loved ones consider Peregrine Senior Living at Crossgates as your final choice. I say this for many reasons. I moved my Mom and her husband there 9 months ago when it was still considered "Atria". It was a huge adjustment for them after having lived independently for so long. I won't lie the transition from Atria to Peregrine was painful at times, but since this has finally taken place and all Peregrine employees are now there, the facility is amazing. The entire staff truly cares about the members of this community. The attention to detail is so far and above, I am thrilled. My Moms husband is approaching the end of his life and everyone there has proven to be a source of strength for my mother. For this I will be forever grateful.

There are many assisted living opportunities in the capital district area, but I can say that Peregrine Crossgate is one of the best. My Dad who is over 80 and an amputee lives here and is thriving. The staff really care and they work with residents and families to meet everyone's needs. The chef, Kevin, is amazing! He's been there for a long time and he really cares and understands the residents. My Dad loves the food and it was a big factor in his decision to move here. The executive staff are always available to work on any issues that may arise. Tiffany, the new director, always goes the extra mile to not only do the right thing, but to keep the families and residents informed. Tonya, the finance director also plays an active role with families and residents. It's great to see such friendly, energized and upbeat people in charge. The rooms are cleaned often and you can feel the clean. They are extensively remodeling the place. Soon, all will be newly updated in the common areas. They are working to get the bus fixed so that trips can resume. Hopefully soon. If you are looking for a good place for your loved one, this one is highly recommended.

I have had the pleasure of working with the staff of Atria Crossgate since 2006. As the treating physical therapist at that time, they followed up on my recommendations that best served their residents and allowed them to safely age in place. Their staff is attentive and involved. The community has a warm home-like feel. I currently supervise the PT, OT and SLP service option through PRN PT OT SLP PLLC and the therapists report that the residents are delightful and the community from the directors to the support staff are knowledgeable, safe, and take every precaution during this public health emergency.

The decision to transition my Dad to assisted living was perhaps the most difficult of my adult life. My family searched for months for the right place. Thank heavens we found Atria Crossgate. They provided my Dad with a loving, caring, safe environment. When he had difficulties adjusting to his new surroundings, Krystin Ganim and her staff were compassionate and understanding. Once settled in, Atria Crossgate offered an engaging staff, fine cuisine, and more activities than I could count. More importantly, once COVID appeared, they were on their game, locking down and instituting precautionary protocols ahead of CDC guidelines, making sure my Dad was safe, and keeping my family in the loop every step of the way. I could not ask for a better partner in caring for my Dad than the folks at Atria Crossgate.

My Dad just moved in but I have to give this place 5 stars just based on the admission process. My sister and I met with Jennifer back in December for a tour after a few long months of trying to find a facility for our Dad. She was so genuine, empathetic, and informative. We left feeling very optimistic for the first time in months. Facility is clean and well kept with friendly staff and residents. Throughout the next steps she was communicative and was nice enough to hold one of the last available rooms There were some hiccups with the records at his current facility but she remained patient and understanding. The nurse even drove all the way to Ithaca to evaluate our Dad in person and in a timely manner. Since moving in last weekend, they have been keeping lines of communication open letting us know of his progress and how he is adjusting. So far we are extremely happy and excited to see how our Dad adjusts to living here!

Ive lived at Atria Crossgate for nineteen months and want to share how I have enjoyed living here. People have been very friendly with each other. The staff makes every effort to meet the needs of the residents. Right now, we are under a quarantine, where we can leave our apartments, to go outside on the grounds and through the common areas of our building. We need to wear our masks whenever we leave our apartments. Residents can leave the community, however, to be with family so long as they take their medications with them, observe social distancing guidelines, avoid indoor dining in a restaurant or bar, and personal grooming in a barber shop or hair salon. Many of our residents do not like the quarantine, but it has been because of the quarantine that we have not had a single case of the Coronavirus. We are, indeed, very fortunate to be living here. If we should need anything, several people go across the road to Walmart to buy things every Thursday once we have given them our shopping list. Its now time to talk about what life has been like at Atria before the Pandemic and what it will hopefully be like again in the not too distant future. The meals, in the dining room, are usually quite good. For every meal there are at least two entrees. If a resident should not like either of these, there are still other options as to what he or she can eat. There is a guest table in the dining room so that a resident may bring up to three guests. There are two seatings for each meal. Another opportunity for residents to relax, get to know other residents, bring guests, or get something else to eat is the anytime café, which is open twenty-four hours a day. Prescribed medications for residents are distributed by the wellness office and up to four times a day. Other meds which are prescribed as an on needed basis may be dispensed at different times including overnights. Over the counter medications to be dispensed by the wellness office must be ordered by a written prescription from a licensed physician. Medical transportation for doctors appointments is provided on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays to doctor offices. Each resident going to a medical appointment is given a med list of all the medications the resident is taking and a follow up care sheet that the physician fills out for the future care needed by that resident. A podiatrist comes to Atria once a month to examine to examine the feet of residents who request this service. Resident rooms are cleaned at Atria once a week by the house keeping staff. They also remove trash on a daily basis. Maintenance at Atria is excellent. When apartments need to have repairs, they are taken care of right away. When it snows at Atria, there is constant snow removal twenty-four hours a day until the roads, parking lots, and sidewalks are completely clear. The grounds of Atria are quite beautiful. The landscaping is continually kept up to date. In the spring and summer, the flowers bloom from the parking lot to the main entrance. At one end of the complex is a beautiful pond with a gorgeous fountain in the center. Atria offers a lot of opportunities for residents to get to know other residents. One of these programs is spirituality where there is Bible Study, a Rosary Society, and going to church to Christ the King (Roman Catholic) on weekends. For exercise we have Sit and Be Fit, Chair Yoga, and a walking program. People in wheelchairs and walkers are able to participate in these programs. Another one of these activities is dining out. About eight to twenty residents get together at one large table. Even residents in wheelchairs attend these functions. We are joined by the driver of our van and another member of the Engaged Life office. Once a week we going shopping to Walmart. Residents have to gauge their time because we only have one hour to shop. Our broad variety of social activities provide excellent opportunities for residents to not only get to know other residents, but also to know their families as well. We have parties quite often here at Atria.

We couldnt be happier with this place for my mom! We looked at a bunch of places around and chose Atria because the residents and staff were the so friendly and nice. From the first day we walked in the check out the community through today, they couldnt be nicer. Everyone from the waitstaff (Jen is superior) to the director treats my mom like a queen.

There was no way mom was going to move anywhere if she couldnt take her cat. We found out Atria allows pets and took her to visit. We knew we found the puurrrfect place when Kristyn, the director, told us she rescued and fostered cats.

On November 13th my mom was able to celebrate her 90th birthday. Mom has been living at the Atria senior assisted living facility near the Crossgates mall for almost one and one half years. Our first thought was for my wife and I to gather a few of her long time friends and have a nice little party at a local restaurant. But that would have left out many of the new friends she had made during her stay at her new home. So I inquired with Kristyn Ganim, Executive Director of Atria Crossgates, as to whether it would be possible to have a gathering at their facility. After painlessly working out the details, including food to be served, time of day, attendees, room used for the event, and price of dinners (which was QUITE reasonable), all was agreed on, far in advance of the date. On moms special day, we arrived early, met with Ms. Ganim, Kevin the chef, and the fast and efficient wait-staff, and decorated the room as people started to arrive. Mom was simply overjoyed. Guests were very impressed. Everything went smoothly, right according to plan. It was a total success! Yet just one more reason why we are glad we picked Atria Crossgates for moms senior living facility! Thank you so much to everyone for your efforts! Mom says: nobody has ever made such a wonderful birthday party for me before. Wolfgang and Francine Kurth

My sibling is very happy here. The people in the Assisted Living are very nice, the facility is great and everybody on the staff is very residential-oriented. They are very quick when responding to a cord being pull by a resident. They have 2 private chefs, almost culinary chefs. The price was way less than the minimum price being upstate. The facility is great and they treat everyone like family. The only tip I can give is, Assisted Living facilities will only do what is instructed on the discharge paperwork. Ensure that all doctor orders are written or clearly stated in any discharge or paperwork.

Atria Crossgate is nice because it is all one level and everyone is friendly. My mom is doing well in her apt. The dining area is really nice and my mom says the food is edible, she likes my wife's cooking better. They do offer a lot of activities, games, they read books to them, and my mother is starting to join in. There is also transportation for the residents to doctors, shopping and outing to the mall and other outside activities. I definitely recommend the Atria Crossgate to family and friends.

My mother loves it here in this community, but my father is still taking some time to adjust. We do feel comfortable with their move here. They like it here, and my mother is really enjoying her time. The people are wonderful, and we know they are in good hands. This is a nice community, and I would recommend it.
