Ivystone Senior Living – Reviews
February 2023
Went for a tour and remembered the old Ivystone. I was told the building was bought and had new owners. They are renovating the building , they already made some progress with the renovations. The staff were nice. The people who lived there were happy. I hope I am able to move in soon.

Impossible to reach a manager or supervisor to speak with or call you back. My mother was transferred to the Assisted Living area of the facility from ALP. Her belongings were no sent with her. She and I were told that it was because they were fumigating for bedbugs. It has been several months and her belongings (clothes, shoes, toiletries, books, furniture I purchased for her, appliances I purchased for her, etc.) I visited 08/12/2022 and spoke with a supervisor, whose name I do not remember, but was blonde and new. She advised that the director, Denni was not available when asked for. She advised that we could not get into my mother's old room because only one person had the key and they were not in the building. She also could not tell me if my mother's belongings were still in her old room or packed away elsewhere. The maintenance man said the old room already had another resident living in the room. Where are my mother's belonging? She is wearing other people's clothing. I was told someone would call me Monday 08/15. No once called me 08/15 or Tuesday 08/16. When I called the facility in around 3pm, they told me the director was in a meeting. I left a message with the director Denni. She never called me back. I called at 5:30pm and spoke with Vince who was very rude and said that he had not idea if a supervisor and manager was on duty. I am getting no help or answers. I am now left to file a complaint with the BBB, and will contact the media if my mother's belongings are not returned to her or have been given away or thrown out. This is terrible treatment and considered elder abuse. Terrible facility. BEWARE.

I have been referring patients that are in need of facility living while having their health monitored for the past 4 years. Ashley has always been quick on scheduling a center tour and simplifying the enrollment process.

Awful place. My husband lived there for a few months and it was dirty(sticky floors), with poor food and although the staff was ok, I would have hated to have been stuck there myself. He really hated it! Ashley was a great nurse, though, and Virginia (aide) seemed kind. The garden in the middle needed attention and overall it was a sad place to visit. The reception staff was indifferent most of the time and the management quite appalling. The piano in the video they once had on their website is still in the entrance hall but I've never seen it being played. it was previously owned by a really bad company who owns many such facilities on the east coast. This new company has made many improvements, I'm told, but they need to make many more improvements if the facility hopes to be even 'good' instead of below average.

This place is awesome. Doesnt display all the bells and whistles but the care is excellent. Its a very clean environment. Whenever I enter they are cleaning. They keep it pristine. The care is excellent. Plenty of nurses and aids. They have a very large staff. When I visit my mother she is always smiling and seems very happy. Thank you Ivystone. I feel very comfortable having my Mother under your care.

As a current resident at ivystone I'd have to say everyone from business to management to medical , housekeeping and food service have gone the extra mile to meet or exceed my needs. I'd love to thank them all for their assistance and for encouraging me to move forward and live a more productive and independent life.

My brother has lived at the Ivystone for two years after moving from another place in Mt. Laurel. My brother and I used to come dancing at the old Ivystone and to come visit him brings back such great memories. I can personally say that the staff at Ivystone is excellent. The new man in charge always takes time to speak with everyone and make us feel at ease. I am so happy we moved my brother here

The most amazing thing here is the team. This team rallied together and worked hard to change things for the positive. This is a totally different atmosphere. What I noticed and empathized with was this team experienced many changes, staffing and other changes. This team could have fallen apart, instead they pulled together, worked hard and leaned on each other for support. I am now proud of this building and the what the team has accomplished. Great place, great feeling and positive changes!! Good JOB!!!!

My mom just moved into Ivystone, she really was excited as she used to frequent the old Ivystone Inn back in her day. She and my dad met there at a dance or friend's wedding I believe. She had been living with my family and both of us were hesitant to make a move, but she has friends that have lived at the community for a few years and they always spoke very highly of the place. She moved in about 2 weeks ago - and has reconnected with those friends on a daily basis and made new ones. She is complimentary of the care and the nursing services - and really has enjoyed getting out into the community with trips to restaurants and events in and around Philadelphia. We are happy she is there, and you can notice the difference already with her. She is smiling again, and has regained independence with her own place. We couldn't be happier!

I love the new and improved Ivystone Senior Living. The management company, the administration and the employees really care about their residents and their satisfaction at the community. I'm looking forward to seeing what's to come!

I have been working with Ivy stone for over 10 years. The management company truly cares about their residents and resident satisfaction is extremely important to the staff. I have nothing but positive things to say about the nursing department and aids that work with residents daily. I highly recommend this facility for both Medicaid and private pay residents... Won't break the bank as well.

After a few months looking for a community for my aunt, we were referred to Ivystone by her physician and her visiting nurse that came to visit a couple of times a week. It took some work to get my aunt to agree to a visit, but once she did it took about a month to move to Ivystone. Juliann was wonderful throughout the process and Ashley really worked diligently to make my aunt feel comfortable and navigate all the doctors, transportation and other paperwork necessary. She has been there about 2 months now and looks better than she has in years. Weekly visits to the salon, a smile on her face, she is gaining weight and enjoying food. Nothing but great things to say.

The new administration has really made some positive changes. He takes the time needed to really make sure everyone feels comfortable talking about anything we think can be better. Every time I visit I am so happy to see how passionate the entire team is to making Ivystone be the very best. I am so happy to be a part of Ivystone and all the great things going on
