You have to have money to live here,......that is a fact. I was told I could afford to live here. Around $2,000 a month, then the price sky-rocketed to over $13,000 a month! I could purchase my prescription from me UPRR pharmacy for appox. $100.00 for 3 montbs. Brighten billed me $961.00 for 1 month! They, also, billed me $1300.00 each for me and my husband just for moving in to one bed room which is no bigger than bedroom. The so called bedroom is about the size of a walk in closet! The so called kitchen has a tiny frig and that is it. No microwave! You would not even have room for one. What was my bill for the month,..........$6246.50 for my husband and $5161.50 for me! Are they insane???? So ask yourselves,.........do you really want to live here, and where in the hell are you going to come up with this kind of money?????

Ive worked in long term care and with seniors for over 20 years in numerous buildings doing many different jobs. Ive been at Brighton Gardens of Omaha for about two years now and with all honesty I can say this is one of the best places Ive ever worked. Our home office is very supportive of me as a professional and works diligently to ensure the best care is given to our seniors through education, training and upper management involvement. I love coming to work every day and seeing the employees interact with our amazing residents. I am especially proud of them through this last years pandemic. So many of them show up and work so hard every single day. You can truly tell that they care about our residents. I have found the place I want to spend the rest of my career.

We had our Aunt Helen here for many years, she was pleased and even when she needed more and more... and more care- the services just got better. The staff at this location is professional and skilled at caring for the elderly. Food was very good, we had eaten there with her many times. Very restaurant quality but also home like.

My grandfather was at Brighton Gardens for almost a year, and recently passed away. My family and I want to give a big thank you to the staff there who went above and beyond in these trying times of Covid and dealing with a loved one passing away. Audra (director of nursing), Faith, Maryann, Kiwan, all the CNAs and many people whos names we didnt catch along the way and the people we didnt get to meet . We thank you for treating our loved one like your loved one, and having compassion for our family in that difficult time.

My mom has been at Brighton Gardens in Skilled Care for a year and she is so happy there! Everyone is so kind and they truly care. They really appreciate my mom and take wonderful care of her. We could not be more thankful to have our mom at Brighton Gardens!

Brighton Gardens is the absolute best! My mom has gone to Brighton Gardens multiple times for Skilled Nursing and Rehab needs. She loves being there! The staff are so nice and always willing to help! After returning home she often comments about how much she misses the staff! The Therapy team really know what they are doing to get people back on their feet to go home! The Admissions lady went out of her way to make sure her transition from the hospital to Brighton Gardens went smooth! I strongly recommend families choose Brighton Gardens for their loved ones Nursing and Rehab needs!

My mother has lived at Brighton Gardens (Assisted Living) for two years now. I am sure there may be others, but I would like to recognize Jenny (Activities Director), Zane (front desk), Derek, Yu (Med Aides) and Bobbi. They do a very good job of helping my mother. I think the issue has been resolved now, but as my mothers Attorney in Fact, I want to receive the monthly statements via your secure email transmittal early each month. I was told by a Jennifer that this was not possible. However, I had (and have been for the last two months) received the statements that way. My goal is to make sure Brighton Gardens is paid promptly and accurately each month. I also monitor my mothers Long-Term Care Insurance carrier. Therefore, I do NOT want the insurance carrier to receive the statement. I must be the one who uploads the monthly statements to them each month. There is no reason that cannot happen via your secure website. Brighton Gardens seems to have a very frequent turnover of Executive Directors and some of the staff which concerns my mother, myself and my siblings. If you want to keep the J.D. Power Award, you need to maintain stability. Communication between staff members could improve. There are times when my mother has not received her medications (depends upon the Med Aide and the shift). There are times when she has pressed her call button and no one has responded for a long time. She does not seem to be getting her showers on Mondays and Fridays regularly. She has to ask sometimes before anyone shows up. Overall, we are satisfied with Brighton Gardens to protect my mothers health and provide a safe living environment. All companies go through change, but constant change does cause disruption. There are many caring people who work at Brighton Gardens and we appreciate that. Thank you,

My mom recently did a stint for rehab at Brighton Gardens. I was so overwhelmed with the idea of making what I felt was a very critical decision regarding my moms care. I came in, unannounced to do a tour of their skilled area. The person who did my tour dropped everything and talked with me for over 45 minutes. When my mom arrived from the hospital every one greeted her and made us all feel so welcome. During her stay there the rehab team was excellent. Very patient and kind. The nurses were attentive and went out of their way to make mom feel at home. You can truly tell that the staff cares about every person there! My favorite moment was walking in and seeing several people and my mom playing Wii Bowling and laughing! They were having such a great time! I was very impressed and so was my mom. Im so grateful for Brighton Gardens and would return in a heart beat if needed.

My mom lives here and really enjoys her home and her neighbors. Her one complaint is the food. On a rare occasion she likes the food. Lately the taste is not good she says. She would like to look forward to the meals again sometime soon.

Mom was there for rehab after hip surgery. The nursing staff was caring and communicated with me well.The staff of CNAs kept track of her day and made her smile. To be honest, I believe eldercare in Omaha is pretty awful. I have had family in several facilities.As for the poor reviews, I can only guess these people have not had other experiences to compare. Brighton is not perfect but they get more if it right than most.

I worked at Brighton Gardens for about 3 years and during that time my grandparents made the move to Brighton Gardens. Sunrise Senior Living is one of the best companies I have worked for and I was confident my family would get the care they need. Each day I worried about my grandparents being in their own home, once they made the move there was a sense of calm that came over me. The staff at Brighton Gardens care about each resident and make sure the care they get is specific to their needs. This is one of the only communities in Omaha that I knew my grandparents could remain together in. My grandfather needs higher levels of care due to his MS and my grandmother needs reminders and plenty of activities to keep her engaged. The community they first were in put them both in memory care for reasons I didn't agree with. Since being at Brighton Gardens I have seen the staff take the time to monitor their care and this way they are able to remain in Assisted Living together. Since the move I have seen my grandparents get care that they deserve. The staff is patient with them and as time progresses my grandparents continue to flourish in the community. They have worked very hard for many years and deserve the best care possible and that's what Brighton Gardens has given them and continues to give to them. Brighton Gardens has a daily programming group for residents specifically with mild to moderate dementia so they can remain in Assisted Living longer and are not put in a secure area until they are really ready for transition. The programming at Brighton is great. There is no other comparison is Omaha. Activities start at 9:30 a.m. and continue until 6 p.m. The activities offered are unique and there are a variety of activities for residents to choose from. The activities staff is always looking for new activities and taking residents to new places. There is even a senior sippers for those seniors who enjoy a good glass of wine. Brighton offers Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing and Memory Care. Residents can start in the Assisted Living completely independent and if their needs increase staff is able to accommodate their needs. If you are looking for a community that you or your loved one can start in and remain in till end of life, I would definitely recommend Brighton Gardens of Omaha.

The staff members here are very warm, friendly, and concerned about my Mothers well-being. They take care of her really well and they communicate with us just fine. It is an older building but it is always picked up and clean. I really like that the dining room and the activities room are in close proximity. My mom has said the food is okay and its well balanced and nutritious. For activities, they offer things like exercise classes, get-togethers, and live entertainment. I would recommend this community to other families.

I have only toured this facility. But having direct experience with 3 other communities and having toured half a dozen others, I have never seen a staff present itself better. Everyone I met was smiling and engaged. Even the FedEx delivery guy. They have such a great attitude it is contagious. And most importantly, the residents also catch the attitude. All other aspects were there too in terms of services and amenities.

My dad was a resident at Brighton Gardens for about 2 years. The compassion and care he received while there was very good. The management team contacted us when the need arose and were very responsive when we needed their help. I'm sure my dad tested a few care givers' patience, but they never showed any signs of frustration and instead, were always kind, helpful, and attentive to all of his needs. Thank you to everyone who cared for Moe - we miss seeing each of you. The facility is well maintained, the food is quite good, and the public areas and resident rooms were always clean. A heartfelt thank you for all that you did for my dad while in your care!
