I have enjoyed my time working here as an employee. It's a family like environment, management staff works well together to make sure all needs of residents and families are addressed promptly. It's truly a home away from home .

I recently had the pleasure of volunteering at one of the weekly events held for the residents. I found the facility to be clean and inviting. The memory care coordinator, Ms. Latoya, was amazing with the residents and put together a fun event. They all seemed to have a wonderful time. I look forward to volunteering there again as soon as my schedule permits. It's truly a wonderful facility.

LaToya Davis, the Director of the Memory Care area, is AWESOME! She has created a warm and welcoming environment for the residents and their families. She is a role model for her staff. They all treat the residents with respect and dignity. The Addison is very lucky to have such an engaged leader.

I have had the pleasure of working for the Addison of Durham for over a year, and in my 19yrs of working in healthcare is by far one of the best Assistant Living communities. I enjoy everything about it! The Addison gives you such a warm family feeling from the time you enter the front door. The way the residents and staff interact you would swear they we're family.

I recently moved my mom to the Addison. I was very nervous of her coming from her home but everyone has been so wonderful. My mom had to move to the memory care. She has only been there a few weeks but mom is so happy and has made friends. Amanda and Derrick have been such a blessing to my family. They send me pictures of her every week and have arranged Zoom visits. They even had a visiting dog. All of her caregivers in the memory unit are angels. I would and have recommended their memory care to all of my friends with aging parents.

My mother has been living here for over four years and has had a very positive experience. I could give a litany of complaints about the previous place she lived, but I would rather talk about the positives of The Addison (formerly Carillon until a year ago). The staff is caring and makes an effort to engage with the residents, including helping with ADLs that any given resident may have difficulty with. The facility is definitely nice, but as anyone who has been through parental caretaking knows, it is not the facility but the people working in it that make the difference. The new head-of-facility (Missy) is engaged, as is Sandra in the front office. Kelly (head of activities) and Amanda (current head of nursing) are all very energetic with positive attitudes.

My mom has been at Addison memory care in Durham, NC for about three years. She loves it, loves the care that she receives and the staff. They have been very attentive and responsive to her needs. Today, I had a specific concern, made a call and it was handled within 15 minutes or faster-I spoke with Gerjuanna H. She was so pleasant and attentive to my mother as all of the staff typically is. Addison has a real asset with Gerjuanna, please do what you can to keep her with your staff--she has a genuine caring heart! Thank you Gerjuanna for caring for our most vulnerable!! May God keep and bless you! You are the MOST essential!!

I have visited a resident of Addison three times over the last few weeks. I stayed for almost 2 hours each time. I think it is a wonderful place, so clean and well lit with sunshine. Most important, the staff is so caring, conscientious and willing to help with every need. If I had a relative who was in need of care, this would probably be my first choice.

Very nice!
December 2018
A very well put together place. As far as the atmosphere. The Main staff are very unorganized, Somewhat friendly but truly incapable of running the place effectively. I say that because I went into employment at this facility for two reasons I love the elderly and I wanted to see if they have the compassionate Care that I am seeking for my 93 yr old Grandmother.. PCA staff do their best with the non training they claim not to receive... I as housekeeping received no formal training no OSHA training No environmental training No personal protection classes No Real Staff knowing rules such as use the back entrance for employees.. No scrub brush no use of a clean toilet brush on walls even if it's fresh out of pack.( Yes I was wrong .Eve though I was cleaning up feces on the wall. The Head Staff are in so much covering up the minor things that the major things like patient care patient feedings meds being passed on time keeping them dry hem down to Iwitness bed sores ive housekeep they suggested We buy our own cleaning supplies..”yeah not right it's a mad house The facility.. dressed up like a dream house Head people show up to work all fancy just to make it seem they are doing the very best WHEN ONLY THEY ARE DOING THE BARE MINIMUM TO KEEP THE DOORS OPEN...NOW JUST FOR THE RECORD I GOT RELIEVED FROM MY JOB BECAUSE I DIDN'T MAKE EYE CONTACT WITH MY SUPERVISOR AND THAT AS I WALKED ONTO THE PORCH FACILITY WITH MY PHONE IN HAND I WAS IN VIOLATION ECT SIMPLE MINDED THINGS THAT MY SUPERVISOR CLAIMS SHE WOULDN'T RIGHT ME UP ON FORMAL PAPERWORK.. I JUST WANTED TO LET THE TRUE CARILLON Durhmite HEADMASTER'S MAKE THEM CLEAN UO THEIR ACTS BEFORE THINGS GET SHUT DOWN .
