Behind the walls of this Gothic -looking mansion lies a plethora of horrors,I was a resident there for a few months I would advise installed a 24-your surveillance camera door the protection of your loved one,when I moved lucK left with HALF the wardrobe I policy allows anyone to walk in unannounced, SO remember a particular Nurse named Sheryl who upon her own volition took it upon herself to discontinue some of my vital medications causing me to become seriously I'll and being hospitalised for some days I was later informed Sheryl was offered the opportunity to resign or be fired, whereupon she chose to resign. I pray to this carnage is NOT employed at another health-care facility! If this is what you want for your loved one,I suggest look to another facility. Just speaking from experience...

To be honest, we were very pleasantly surprised by The Sheridan at Laurmeier Park. You hear stories and have low expectations but when the time comes to put your loved ones in what comes to be their final home, you hope youve made the best choice. The Sheridan exceeded almost all of our expectations. Megan Martinez walked us through this journey with such care, love, patience and understanding. Watching her care for our loved one as she did let us know there could be no better place. Living out of town added challenges but Megan kept us informed, always took our calls, and went out her way to to see that were very much a part of daily life even from far away. While the food did leave a lot to be desired, the place was always clean, never smelled and our loved one always seemed happy. And the nurses and those that tended to them were with them to the very end. We were blessed to have found Megan and the Sheridan. Thank you for loving our mom as you did.

The Sheridan at Laumeier Park is a wonderful place to work. I was employed with them when they opened and really enjoyed being there. The teamwork was awesome. Several employees have come and gone, but Jan Frigerio has been there since the beginning and she runs an amazing activity department, very creative and the residents love her !

Hello All!! Just wanted to take a few minutes to give a shout out to this wonderful facility!!! During this time while we are living through the pandemic, I feel so confident that my mother is being taken care of. While other communities and the county itself has relaxed their rules, The Sheridan has maintained their priorities of keeping my mother safe and in her environment. While taking care of my mother has been the hardest thing for me, I am so relieved that The Sheridan makes it their No. 1 priority to keep the residents safe!!! The care givers who constantly check in on her and see that she has what she needs and also go to her room before they leave for the day just to talk to her. Lastly, I feel that I have to give a shout out to Chris in the dining hall. He was saddled with the task of getting my mother to eat her meals. It is not an easy task!!! Chris has managed to prepare meals that she loves to eat that are nutritious!! He has set up time for FaceTime talks so that I can see my mom which is so important to me because I miss her so!!! Keep up the great work you are doing Sheridan!!!

The staffing here is very nice and friendly! Kelly and Betty (cnas) really care for us. I cant stop bragging about how wonderful the meals are. Sometimes its to much food. The chef and his team really care about are opinions on what we like and dont like. He makes special treats for us on our Birthday. Great over all experience.

The first thing that I noticed some two plus years ago after my older sister Cece moved into her Sheridan assisted living apartment was that all the staff knew her name and stopped to talk to her. It didnt take more then a few of my visits thereafter before they all knew my name and stopped to talk to me and my sister. We quickly learned how much they enjoy their work and the residents they are caring for.Of great pleasure to me was the assistance I received from the staff in learning whats necessary to support ones aging family member. Since then I consider myself a junior member of the Sheridan staff. Emphasis on JUNIOR (Im referring to rank not age).The staff again came to the fore when we all began to see that Cece needed a greater level of daily assistance. The move to a memory care apartment was a smooth transition.So when COVID-19 brought about the lockdown, I was confident that the staff would again provide Cece and her fellow residents what was needed to deal with it successfully. That included staying in touch with me to facilitate communications with Cece without normal visits.I can only imagine the extended and dedicated effort required of all the staff to keep their Sheridan free from COVID-19. I can hardly wait to meet with them, talk and thank them for what they have done for Cece and me.Godspeed team !

Megan is an asset to this facility. During the time of management transition and the pandemic that resulted in the lockdown of the building, she has been able to assist me with issues and situations regarding my mom. It doesnt matter whether youre a resident of memory care (her department) or assisted living - she will acknowledge and address your problems. She truly cares about all the residents. She has a personality that is bubbly and interacts well with everyone. On that same note, Justin (maintenance director) is also a life saver. There isnt anything he wont do to help your loved ones. Hes come to my moms and my rescue numerous times. Recently he volunteered to change out and set up a new phone to fix the problems my mom was having. Thank you!

The Sheridan is very beautiful and homey. The residents are friendly and nice so are the workers, its a lovely and friendly environment. I love working in the dietary department as a server, it makes me feel good knowing that I took part in serving the residence their breakfast, lunch and dinner. Overall a great community, cant wait to see where it takes me.

I highly recommend The Sheridan at Laumeier Park for families seeking an incredible assisted living experience for a loved one!! The entire staff genuinely cares about each resident and does whatever it takes to make them and their families happy. The staff works insane hours and numerous days in a row all so the residents have consistency and build solid relationships. A special shout out to Jan, Justin, Megan, Monica and Janelle for going the extra mile to keep families connected and safe!

I have performed for The Sheridan facilities since they opened in STL. They are top knotch facilities. Jan, the Lifestyle Enrichment Coordinator at The Sheridan at Laumeier Park, never ceases to make me smile with the ideas she comes up with for events. Shes so creative and pays attention to every detail. Not only the residents, but their families attend their Friday Happy Hours, giving them all something to look fwd to every week. Its a beautiful place and the residents seem to be happy there.

My grandmother was a resident until November of last year on the memory care floor. I have to say that the staff was always helpful and attentive to her. Towards the end she became quite a handful with her demencia but the patience and care with her went above and beyond. One staff member Megan Martinez, in particular was extremely helpful. She really understands how to handle peoples loved ones and I felt very at ease knowing that she was there with my nana. I would recommend the Sheridan to anyone who needs a safe, caring place for their parents or grandparents.

We were greeted with friendliness, kindness, and respect. We were there on business and were setting up in the lovely entertainment center. The whole crew were really nice, especially Jan Frigerio. Jan meet us at the front door and was our tour guide through the whole thing. Jan was so sweet and funny. Assisted Living for seniors-Brand new construction. Pros: Staff is friendly, helpful and always attentive. Nice variety of good food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Great group activities and transportation. Expanded cable and WiFi included. Maintenance on sight. Cons: No built in microwave, cheap plastic medicine cabinet and barn slider doors to bathrooms (pocket doors would have been better).

My parents moved in to assisted living in Sept. of 2017. Quickly the staff knew and always used their names; it feels more like a nice hotel than assisted living. My Dad has since passed and they all could not have assisted us with everything any better. They were so respectful and kind to us all. My Mom is genuinely cared for. I held my breath as we made this big decision last summer, but it truly has been everything we hoped it would be. My 4 siblings and I are all satisfied, and four of the five of us are in healthcare, and the other has worked with seniors for years; we're a pretty careful bunch, and all are happy with the Sheridan for our Mom. I see some comments about billing, but our experience has been with any discrepancies they were cleared up with simple communication.

My family and I couldnt be happier with The Sheridan at Laumeier Park. Our parents moved in last September and it is really a great place for seniors who need assistance whether it is physical or memory issues. The staff has been so wonderful - they know each resident by name and treat them like family. The support for the family of the residents is amazing as well - we experienced that first hand when our dad passed away there in their new home. So many of the staff came up to their apartment to express their condolences. They have taken our mom under their wings and have helped her so much to adjust to her new normal and she is doing so much better than we anticipated. I highly recommend this community for your parents when the time comes that living on their own is no longer possible!

Horrible Beautiful facility but a horrible place for your loved one. We removed our mom from the memory care floor after about a month of drama. They shipped her to SLU twice to have her evaluated and SLU found her to be in line with others with her memory issues. They told us she needed an around the clock care provider with her when she returned, at our expense. We thought that was what the facility was for. They only want the money. If you look on Facebook you will see other reviews of them charging people for two months after they passed away. No compassion or interest in the residents, just the monthly fees.
