I cannot say enough about Byron Manor. My parents have been there for a year now. Recently our dad went through a serious health scare. Staff at the Manor was so caring, not only for my parents but us as well. We felt the love and concern of everyone that works here. Everyone here is like family, from the staff to the residents. Daily programming is fun too. I have participated some since I was there during those times. Great source of entertainment for the residents. You can be very active if you choose. Something going on everyday. GREAT place to have your loved one live if they are in that stage of life.

I love working for Byron Center Manor! The family friendly atmosphere was exactly what I was looking for. I love seeing staff caring for the residents of BCM in such a warm way. I love how resident families walk in with smiles and leaving knowing their loved ones are always cared for. We are one big family here and wouldn’t want to be anywhere else!

I have been working as a registered nurse in these types of facilities for about 15 years and can't say enough good about this facility. I have worked in most of the facilities in the greater Grand Rapids area and this facility is as good as it gets. The culture that exists amongst staff is what sets it apart. The people that work there truly care about the residents. There are a number of other good facilities in this area but none better.

The staff at this facility are caring and kind and go out of their way to provide amazing care to their residents. The facility is clean and beautifully taken care of. My children were invited to visit and spend time with the residents when they attended the local daycare, which we loved. I appreciate the energy spent on keeping the community connected and involved on behalf of their residents.

Byron Center Manor is so much different than other places I know. It is owned by a local family and not a chain. The care and the individual interaction between resident and staff speaks of family value, love and acceptance. Daily activities are planned considering input by those who reside there and their abilities. If you are looking for a place where your loved one is truly treated as family and their input is important and recognized, you are at the right place.

This facility drugged my grandmother. Lillian Jager to the point that she could not eat speak or walk. She was locked in her room with the lights off. the morphine was so strong she fractured her tail bone and had multiple bruises from falling trying to get out off bed. They refused to release medical information to Lillians medical power of attorney and threaten to call protective services on my mom after she requested. hospice check on her. Hospice said she was over medicated and demanded they stop. They the filed to kick Lillian out in 30 days. We brought her home a couple of days later. Where she died five days later so weaken and in pain she could not eat. The state was called and informed my mom multiple employees where reporting abuse as well. The investigation wrapped up with out asking any questions of us reporting the abuse or asking for our physical evidence we recorded or kept. We have and keep calling reps but they are not helpful so far. We are now asking for anyone who has experienced this to contact us as we build this case and expose them. please contact me if you or your family is looking for justice. my email is [email protected]

Since the end of October they have had 61 residents catch covid and 21 have died! Maybe if they had qualified people running this place and supplied appropriate PPE when the first case was discovered this would not have happened. They have locked healthy family members out from seeing their loved ones since March but made covid positive employees come to work because they were short staffed. It's a horrible place to work and obviously it's a horrible place to live.

Staff is outstanding, with their love, support, and care! The facility is always neat and clean, the food is amazing! If you are in need of a loving, supportive place to have your loved one live, look NO further this is your place.

Best place ever!! We moved my mother in law from another location, we were told she might loose about 10% of her memory with the move. However we saw an increase in her after moving her here! The food is amazing, the place is spotless, bright and inviting, the STAFF are so great they are beyond words. If you want the best for your loved one this is it!!

Having to choose a nursing home is hard to do and when youre working with Alzheimers its an even tougher job. You start with not even knowing what questions to ask. Byron Center Manor was the best choice I ever made. They start by evaluating the patent to make sure there is a good fit for either independent living, assisted living or memory care and they work with you on the financial end as well if need be.I found that the staff, both administration and hands on caregivers were so caring when working directly with the residents and helpful in teaching us what we needed to do. I saw them treat each resident with dignity, respect and compassion, far beyond other places we had used. When they say they treat your loved ones like family they truly do.If you are needing to place for a loved one look no further!

Byron Center Manor was good. The staff seemed very helpful and friendly. It was an older facility and that showed a little bit. I looked at the dining area, and it was very nice. Security was good. They had a list of activities that available, with something new every day.
