I appreciate the level of thoughtfulness I feel each time I walk into the building to visit Mom. I can tell the staff really care. The facility went through a lot of changes when CareOne took over and its nice to see all the new efforts coming together. The activity crew always seems to have nice events happening and really try to get all involved. I can tell the entire team are working together, it shows. I'm glad to know Mom is happy and well taken care of. A wonderful facility and very well managed.

This is a beautiful facility and the caregivers are so well trained in memory care and dementia. The amenities are also first class. Any time I have visited Whitney Place, all of the residents and workers seem so upbeat and happy.

We have been members of the Sharon Community for almost 2 years. Even though my dad is the one who calls Whitney Place his home, our whole family feels like we are considered part of this community. We always receive a warm welcome when we visit from everyone we encounter that includes both staff and residents. My dad has become very attached to certain staff members who he relies on for his everyday care. He would be lost without Jade especially. She probably knows him better than his own family and certainly knows our family quite well having listened to all my dads tales about all of us. She has been a godsend, someone I know that I can share my concerns and get updates from. His other favorites are Chi Chi and Josie who he also speaks highly of.

Mom just celebrated her first year in residence at Whitney Place in Sharon. The facility and staff have exceeded our very high expectations. Jorge Cortizo and his management team have been proactive with staffing and in my opinion seamlessly staying ahead of the challenges that increasing occupancy in a new facility has to bring.

My grandmother has been at Whitney Place for a little over a year now. She was reluctant to leave her home but has adjusted well to the Tapestry unit. The staff have been excellent and always react quickly to any concern that might arise. In particular we think Melody is wonderful. She is kind and caring and my grandmother always mentions how fond of her she is.

This is such a lovely place. The staff really does its best to make the residents lives happy and interesting. There are events planned regularly, musical performances, art classes, something for everyone. They keep the residents as involved as they want to be. My parents have been living there for a little over a year and are very happy there. They have had medical emergencies and the staff has helped to get them the help they needed and to welcome them back when they were well. And, most importantly to some, the food is great!!

My mother, after 63 years of living independently and raising her family in Walpole, moved into an apartment at Whitney Place Sharon on New Years Day 2018. As this marks her one-year anniversary I would like to take a moment to express my familys gratitude for providing such a safe and stimulating environment for her. Support Staff members, such as Widline, Esther, Marie C, Autumn, Sharon, Savannah, Alex, Thomas, Hadijah, Veronique, Emilie and Tatiania, have gone out of their way to learn our mothers particular likes and dislikes. These are just a few of the employees from the waitstaff, personal aide and housekeeping departments that are in constant contact with the residents, making seniors lives easier. We would also like to express our appreciation to Jorge Cortizo, who gave me a guided tour of the facility, complete with hard-hat, while it was still under construction in the Fall of 2018. He promised that, should we choose Whitney Place Sharon for our mother, we would find it a place of compassion and understanding that would allow her privacy and independence while providing assistance with everyday activities as needed. He has more than fulfilled the promise and circulates as a particularly engaged, hands-on Executive Director in the community.

Recently Matt, an activities person at Whitney Place, shared a story with me about my aunt, a resident there. They had a parade inside and he helped my aunt to be a big part in the event. Later that day, she shared the parade story with me and was very excited and happy with the day. She went on and on about Matt and the whole procession. I have only had very good experiences with the staff here, Matts just stood out because it hasnt been the only time my aunt has really enjoyed an activity with him. Thanks to everyone who works here, I appreciate your work.

My mother Mary Lou has been a resident of Whitney place since November 2017, and recently moved to the Tapestry Unit. My sister and I could not be more pleased with the entire experience, environment and staff. The On site PT and VNA staff as well as the nurses and PCAs have been fantastic not only day to day, but during times of crises such as illness and a fall that mom took this summer. instead of having to bring her to rehab, the staff at Whitney Place was able to handle her care from the comfort of her own home. One highlight of the last few weeks was a trip for pizza that Melody Leighton convinced her to join in on. thank you, Melody! My sister and I are so grateful that we have mom in a place where she is safe, well cared for and happy. and she LOVES the food!!!!

My mother Anita moved into Whitney Place of Sharon in March 2018. It has been a wonderful place for her! The facility itself is lovely, but of more importance is the fantastic staff. Everyone, absolutely everyone, is warm, friendly and helpful. She is especially thankful for Glen, director of maintenance, who she says is spectacular, a fine man. Warm thanks too to Jade and Latania who are very caring, friendly and helpful. Grateful appreciation to Allison for offering many, many good programs and trying to engage everyone in the activities. My mothers adjustment to Whitney Place has been remarkably smooth, in large part due to this warm, caring community. Thank you to everyone for making this a truly special place!

My mother Eleanor moved into The Tapestry unit in May. I am so very grateful to Nurse Mo for getting her comfortable on that first day. That was no small task, as my Mom had been involuntarily admitted to the geriatric psych unit at Norwood Hospital where she had a very difficult time. Getting Mom to Whitney Place was an enormous relief for us. Nurse Mo assured Mom that all would be well, and it has been! My mother has made the most wonderful friends in the last six months. My heartfelt appreciation goes out to the whole team at Whitney Place. I know that my mother is safe and well cared for, and the staff is like one big family.

My dad has been living at Whitney Place since July 29,2018. The staff is phenomenal, friendly, helpful, and loving. My dad has enjoyed many of the activities, thank you Allison. The food has been great, they went out of their way to make sure that they had special cheese that my dad liked and Portuguese muffins! Jorge Cortizo has helped with long term insurance company to make sure that my dad received what he was supposed to from the company. Jorge has been a lifesaver to me! The aides that care for my dad go above and beyond any expectations, thank you Widline, Tatiana, Marie and Zunilda! Thank you to Valerie and Lisa for all the wonderful activities! I cannot rave about this place enough!!

Whitney Place has proven to be a lifesaver, literally. My mom suffered a stroke in December, and could not return to independent living in her condo. When we moved her into Whitney Place, we were thankful that her speech , physical , occupational therapies and the visiting nurse were all on-site; it was easy for her to recover, because she just had to focus on living her best life! Now she is doing terrific, LOVES the social programming from movies to paint night, takes meals in the dining room with friends shes made here... its a total 180 from what we imagined at the end of last year. We are so very thankful to the dedicated, expert staff! Also the physical space is just super comfortable and beautiful; its a great environment to visit, have a meal with friends, and just really enjoy life. My mom is testament to that!

My mom has only been at WP for a short time but its been long enough for us all to be impressed. The facility is lovely but the real treasure is the kind, skilled employees who are genuinely engaged with all the residents. They are the epitome of kindness and thoughtfulness. Its wonderful!
