My father has been a resident at Autumn Glen for over a year. We visited many senior living communities over a number of months before deciding on Autumn Glen. Actually, my family had narrowed the choices down to three finalists and we wanted Dad to visit each of the finalists and pick the one he felt would be best for him. Of the three, we visited Autumn Glen first and after the visit he said he did not need to visit the other two communities. The staff at Autumn Glen is phenomenal! They are truly interested in the residents' well-being and happiness. There is a warm, caring, nurturing, and family feel in this community every day. The residents have a wonderful "second family" at Autumn Glen..

Autumn Glen has been such a wonderful place for my mom. They have weekly social activities for their residents to be involved in, as well as field trips to various points of interests in the area. The socialization keeps them active and viable. My mom has thrived here and she is very content & happy. Her apartment gives her the independence as if she was in her own home, but with the pampering of daily meals, housekeeping & laundry as if she was living at a 5 star resort. The staff is very attentive to her everyday needs if and when she requires assistance with helping her get ready during the day. She never has to worry about her medications for they administer them to her daily. Most importantly, if it wasn’t for the staff here at Autumn Glen, my mom may not be here today. She had experienced a heart attack late one evening and their responsiveness had saved her life. I am very grateful for having chosen Autumn Glen for her. It’s been such a worry-free & peace of mind experience for all of us.

My parents moved into Autumn Glen at Dartmouth four years ago. They enjoyed four years of community and friendships. My dad fell ill in June and passed away in July. The care he received in that last few weeks was exceptional. The CNAs were so kind and caring and did their best to allow him to remain at Autumn Glen with my mother. After his passing the entire staff went out of their way to make sure my mother was coping with her loss. My parents celebrated many milestones at Autumn Glen, birthdays and most recently 70 years of marriage. The staff helped all that happen even during the pandemic. Being an only child, they have made my life much easier. I know that now my mom is surrounded by caring staff and so many friends that she has met. I have to check to see when she has free time for us to visit.

Even in the midst of Covid, Mom was given professional care with dignity. She always complimented the meals prepared at Autumn Glen and Avita comparing them to a Five Star Hotel. She enjoyed her apartments at both units where she felt safe and secure. I also need to mention that the people in charge, Erin Fowler, Molly Santos, Diane Davignon and Edite Lawrence were always there to help and make sure Mom enjoyed her day. They are truly an exceptional team. We would also like to mention your nursing staff-Rob and Charlie and all the aides that helped Mom while she was in residence. The ladies at the reception desk, Alyssa and Joan were always so cordial and ready to help Mom in anyway. I will always recommend your facility to anyone in need of assisted living or memory care. My grandmother has dementia and is unable to stay at home alone anymore so we moved her into the memory care unit. Ever since shes been at Autumn Glen she has received excellent care. She is able to socialize, exercise, and even dances some nights. Shes normally a picky eater but loved everything they serve. I cant say enough good things about the staff there, they go above and beyond.

AG is making the most of the restrictions imposed related to COVID. Being able to create visitation is greatly appreciated. Friendly, clean, responsive. All employees have been most courteous. My only comment is I wish chefs would prepare meals with much less salt. If a resident prefers a saltier taste, the resident can always add salt to match their preference, however, a resident trying to limit salt cannot extract that which is cooked in. Hopeful residents and staff obtaining vaccines will make it possible for residents to accept visitors in their apartments and that community activities will be reinstated.

My family is so grateful for the lifestyle my uncle had at Autumn Glen. He moved in feeling apprehensive and uncertain. He wanted to be home but knew he couldnt and we knew it wasnt the right place for him anymore. We were scared too. But those feeling of uncertainty changed immediately. My uncle made friends, he exercised (something he never did even in his younger years), he tried foods he had never eaten and loved them (he was always a PBandJ and meat and potatoes guy) but when he just wanted his PBand J or his oatmeal, thats what he got. He said to me one day they are so good to me and that sentence alone was absolutely priceless. My uncle is gone now but we will always be grateful that he spent his last years at Autumn Glen. No doubt moving there added quality time to his life and he deserved that. I couldnt recommend them more.

As an entertainer with over 200 performances in 5 states each year, I visit hundreds of independent, assisted and memory care facilities. From the moment I 1st entered Autumn Glen, I knew this was a special place. Staff were warm and inviting. That warmth and care was evident in the smiling faces and demeanors of residents that attended the recital. Conversations immediately ensued about love of music, my life, but most importantly theirs sharing stories as if a family member. So touched, I am returning regularly despite this being well outside of my typical travel perimeter of 1 hour each way. Its worth the joy I receive and most importantly give.

A facility is only as good as the people who work at it and I happen to know people who work there. When my mother first went to Autumn Glen in August of 2016, it was a lovely place with wonderful people and a positive energy. But somewhere along the way, Northbridge, a large company, took the place over and things have really started to slip. Many of the long-time employees have quit. Morale is low. Activities have decreased and become less interesting. Mom is not happy. Not sure what to do. It is expensive but I had felt the price was well worth it until recently. Will be looking elsewhere for Mom if Hingis dont improve very soon.

In early 2013, about 1 1-2 years after my dad passed, my sister and I knew our mom needed somewhere safe to live; a place where she could receive the extra attention she was beginning to require. At first, Mom was resistant to the idea but she finally agreed to just look at places. We visited several facilities but nothing excited her. Our final visit was to Autumn Glen in Dartmouth. There was something about Autumn Glen that made her feel welcomed and at ease. It was apparent from the moment we walked through the doors and this is where SHE chose to live. Immediately, Mom began partaking in the many activities offered to residents. She quickly and easily made friends. She loved that she no longer had to cook, clean or do laundry and she loved the dining room where she felt like she was eating out a a restaurant. The menu selections were very appetizing and she always had company at her table. By mid 2016 it was apparent that our mom needed additional care. We arranged to move her to Avita, the memory care section. The staff welcomed her with open arms. This is where she spent the last four years of her life. Each year she required more and more attention. We cannot say enough about how the staff at Autumn Glen stepped up to the plate. The level of care is exceptional. I never walked in and thought that Mom was being neglected. She was hugged and kissed by the staff. They even told her they loved her. I cannot express how comforting it has been to know that our mom was so well cared for. During her final days it was heartwarming to see staff stop in to visit and say their goodbyes. We received lots of hugs and were told how much she was loved. To everyone at Autumn Glenn from the director to the program directors and all the caretakers, to those at the front desk, the kitchen and maintenance crew, we THANK YOU. Words cannot express how grateful we are to you for the role you played in our moms life. With much love and gratitude to everyone, Debbie Vieira, Lynette Robitaille and families.

Its about the people. While Autumn Glen is a warm, luxurious and homey place to live, Ive realized the MOST important thing, especially in these hellish times, is the quality of the team. We never could have predicted what the last 6 months have wrought. Our decision as a family, with our parents consent and optimism, was to help our parents move into a lovely 2 bedroom apartment on February 1st 2020. Without really knowing the AG staff, the decision was made based on things like how attractive the home was, the quality of the food, the activities and level of care. Its tough to evaluate the potential impact of a pandemic. Throughout these difficult months, the information flow from Autumn Glen management has been excellent. The organization has had to juggle complex and onerous and every-changing state rules with the needs and desires of residents and family. Perfection isnt possible, but being kept informed has reduced the anxiety. Most appreciated and important has been the incredibly kind, empathetic and professional behavior of the entire team at AG. Our family is grateful for their courage and compassion. The word ‘hero has been used a lot lately, but it is absolutely appropriate for the wonderful people who work at Autumn Glen.

My grandparents both lived at autumn Glen. I was googling it to send to a friend who’s considering assisted living for her Mom and seen an unflattering, completely absurd remark about Autumn Glen and felt compelled to write a factual review representative of this FANTASTIC assisted living. From the housekeepers to the management, everyone there truly cares and they went above and beyond for my grandparents. They gave us an extra bed when my grandfather needed his own bed, their staff visited him in rehab when he was sick, they brought him treats and even brought my grandmother to visit him. Everyone and I mean everyone knew my grandparents, knew what they enjoyed, made it a point to get to know them and our family. My grandparents and my entire family were treated like family there by everyone and it felt like a second home for the 3 years my grandfather was there and the nearly 4 years my grandmother was there until she passed away 6 months ago. When she passed we were still treated with the utmost respect and never did it feel like they were just a number. I can’t thank them enough for what they did for all of us and I’d recommend autumn Glenn to everyone.

My father in law lived at Autumn Glen. I can’t say enough about the care and love he received. He was immediately treated like family, and so were we. The staff took such great care of him and he’d always tell us how good everyone was to him. He was kept safe, he was cared for and cared about, and he ate really well and had plenty to do to keep him busy. Prior to him moving to Autumn Glen, my father in law lived with us for 23 years so the decision to have him not return home and move into Autumn Glen was beyond scary and heart wrenching but instantly we knew it was right and it proved to be the best decision we could have made for him.

My aunt lived at Autumn Glen for several years before she recently passed away but they were some of the best years of her senior life. None of us would have guessed how wonderful a move this would be, we were sad for her having to leave her home and then shortly after she moved in we realized how happy we were for her and wished she did it sooner! She instantly had a whole new family of other residents and staff. She played games, started going to a paint class which is something she had never done before, ate great meals and went on trips! She wouldnt have done any of those things while living at her home. It couldnt have been any better for her and for us. Seeing her that happy and knowing she was safe was priceless.

My grandpa lived at Autumn Glen and they were all so good to him. He enjoyed the musical entertainment and “Men’s Club” and the Veteran programs. His friends would come and join him for breakfast and they always felt very welcome too. When we visited, everyone was friendly and would always smile and say hello. The staff really embrace the residents as family and their families as family. That’s what really made it home for my grandpa. I truly do believe that they made his last years the best.

Almost one year ago our mom was hospitalized and it was evident to my brother, sisters and I that it was getting increasingly difficult for my mom to manage by herself at home. We had a very short time to research the assisted living communities in the area. (And we looked at EVERYTHING.) Honestly, they were all viable options and were all very beautiful. What put Autumn Glen over the edge was the sense of family you sensed as soon as you walked through the door. The Marketing Director, who is now the Executive Director was very nice to work with. Within a week all the arrangements were made. Our mother loves living at Autumn Glen and tells us such EVERY TIME we visit her! The staff is amazing from the management, clinical staff, kitchen staff, CNAs, receptionists and maintanance staff!!! Many of our family members work in healthcare and expected a glitch or two...we still haven't found one! We all want to reserve our future apartments! We are your biggest fans! Thank You!
