Anthology – Reviews

I volunteered here in the memory unit. I was in awe of the compassion and empathy displayed by the staff. They truly care for the residents and put in great amounts of effort to ensure their time there is enjoyable. I also received a tour of the facility and I was impressed by the overall design of the facility as well as cleanliness.

My dad was the first male resident at Anthology before it became The Residence at Charles Meadow. From the beginning the staff was very attentive to him and the community itself extremely welcoming. What I appreciated most were the residents themselves and how they treated one another. They value the community they have and that is so important. Our first interaction was with Andrea in Sales and she was fantastic. She is empathetic, understands the customer and never pushed anything on us. The aides all loved my dad and took great care of him. He and Alexandra had a special bond and he lit up every time he saw her. If there was ever a problem with an aide, I would immediately call and the issue was promptly addressed. I appreciated the communication between the nursing staff, Director Jessica Morreale, Memory Care Director Yusi Perez, and myself as we constantly evaluated my dad's care. When it came time to move him to Memory Care, Yusi and her team were incredibly welcoming and attentive to my dad's needs. Not the typical memory care patient, my dad was unable to participate in most of the activities, but the aides, especially Sonia, Nurse Kevin, and Yusi all tended to his needs both physically and emotionally. My dad passed recently and the team has continued to check in with me to make sure we are doing ok. You can't ask for more than that. Every place has it's challenges and there is always room for improvement, but every ounce of feedback I provided was well received and addressed when possible. Problems with aides or behavior were rare and were fixed immediately and I know that LCB will only increase the overall care and comfort provided to it's residents. I would recommend The Residence at Charles Meadow for anyone considering assisted living or memory care for their loved one.

My mother has been on the memory care unit for three months. During that time Yuselis Perez the Director has gone above and beyond to do everything that she can to help with the transition. She is kind and compassionate and all of the staff are attentive to my mother's needs. It has not been easy and I appreciate the care they provide for her. They are dedicated to keeping her safe and I feel she is well cared for.

My grandmother has been a memory care resident for several months now, and our family is very happy with the care she has received. The facility is beautiful, and staff members have always had a friendly demeanor and gone above and beyond to help her and accomodate family visits.

From the first meeting Anthology Senior Living facility and staff exceeded all expectations. Our dad moved in on a Monday to make a "new beginning" in their memory care facility. During his short stay our dad was always treated with competent and compassionate care and encouragement. His unique personal and medical needs or desires were considered and catered to. By Thursday, we needed to facilitate an emergency hospice referral due to an unanticipated medical event. We received phenomenal direction from the attending administration and staff. Family members were traumatized as we transitioned from a "new beginning" to a "final farewell" in a few short days, Anthology Senior Living, accommodated any variety of needs while we stood vigil at my dad's bedside. They lent us all tremendous heart felt support while also caring for dad. We share our highest praise and recommendations of Anthology Senior Living.

Both my parents are/were at anthology millis. My father is on the assisted living side and my mother, before she passed, was on the memory care side. I believe my mom was either the first or second resident in the memory care unit. From the very beginning, literally moving their belongings in, we knew we found the right place. Andrea in sales never pushed or made us feel rushed in making this gigantic decision. Being able to have both parents under the same roof took a ton of family coordination and anthology helped us. We were a little overwhelmed at the efficiency that the staff worked. At her previous memory care, not so much. The staff is nothing short of amazing on both units, memory care and assisted living. On the day my mother died, it felt like the entire staff came in to say a prayer and make sure we we taken care of. I've always said it starts at the top- good or bad. Well, the executive director Jessica is where the great starts. Yusi in memory care is unstoppable. There is nothing she wouldn't do for anyone in her care AND their families. Mary, staff RN is amazing. She was there when mom died and stayed with us and has continued to make sure my father is ok. You wouldn't think I'd be mentioning the facility director Steve. Not only does he keep the building running, but has group meeting with residents regarding life, not just thermostats and picture hanging. And all the "orange shirt" staff. I don't know all your names but almost all of you came to say goodbye to my mom. Her passing was difficult, but seeing the pain and love on everyone's faces that day reminded us that we made a great decision in having both parents in one facility under such caring and watchful staff. I am sorry this is so long, I could rave about Anthology Millis for days. The one complaint came from my dad after the first couple weeks. He said "the food is so good here, I'm gonna be 500lbs real quick" This review is my first ever online review and it was a pleasure to write.

My experience here has only been with the memory care unit. My mother was a resident for only a little less than 6 mos. before she passed. The memory care director, Yusi Perez, is very interactive with all of the residents and their family members. Her door was always open to us for whatever my mother's needs were or just to talk. She acted as the liaison on many occasions with my mother's medical care provider and hospice care at the facility. We really appreciated all the phone calls, emails and follow up that she personally handled on our behalf. Yusi is very present in the unit. You will always see her there. Rest assured that she will make sure that your loved one is cared for as though they belonged to her. My mother was always showered clean and hair washed! Incontinence issues were never an issue here. My mother was always kept dry and clean and the bedding was washed and replaced no matter how many times in one day. The facility is spotless. The aides that work in the memory care unit are excellent. They are patient and kind and treat everyone with respect. They are very interactive with all of the residents and are very watchful about their safety. There are (3) aides on duty at any given time. My mother loved all of the aides at Anthology as did I. Our family never had any worries about the quality of care that she was receiving......just outstanding. The quality of food was also outstanding. A lot of fresh vegetables, fruits and quality meat. Amazing variety of meals and desserts and the portions were substantial. Some days they served up grilled favorites like burgers, chicken, steak & veggies. The aides also made sure my mother had a meal of her choice and was ready to assist in feeding if needed. All of the aides were active with the residents at meal time whether serving or assisting. No one is ever left unattended. Medication times were always administered correctly by aides according to my mother's individual care plan. If any issue with medication would arise, the aide or facility LPN would call me promptly to let me know and/or for guidance. Bedtime was always by 8 pm at the latest. The daily schedule between meals and group time was always adhered to. Many days I would find them in the activity room coloring, working on puzzles, playing bingo, singing, etc. No one was ever left to be alone in their room. And, when the weather is nice, they will take the residents out to bowl or for a walk at a park nearby. This facility can handle all dementia issues very well including the loss of physical mobility, i.e. walker, wheelchair. Anthology will support the role of hospice care within the memory care unit; however, cannot administer any end of life medications. No worries, support is available via private hospice aides if needed. My mother had previously lived at two other area assisted living facilities over the past 3 years and then needed memory care. By chance, I discovered this facility through a card sent to me in the mail. It is tucked away in a very quiet residential area of Millis and very private. I am so glad that we found this facility for memory care and that my mother's last months of her life were happy and spent with people that truly took great care of her. Thank you all!
