Had a loved one here, was very impressed. Benny the food service director was great with all the special needs for her. Thank you.

In general, a facility with very caring people that work there. They did a great job during COVID and kept most residents healthy and engaged. Unfortunately, it is getting quite pricey and there is some nickel and dimeing for added on basic services.

Freeman Staff impressed us from the first day! We had pulled in by accident at first looking for another community which we had an appointment nearby. But noticed how beautiful it was right away. After we went to our previously scheduled appointment we went back and tried calling. My phone disconnected the call, and I was not expecting to get a tour so last minute anyways. They called us back immediately to follow up. Even though we did not have an appointment Stephanie welcomed us with open arms for a tour. They even had warm freshly baked cookies waiting for us after the tour. We knew that day Freeman Lake was the right fit for our Father. The place is stunning inside and out! Our experience surpassed our expectations. We cannot thank all the staff enough for the warm welcome they showed our Father. Even though his stay was sadly cut short due to his passing we highly recommend this community!

Although Mom did not go to Freeman Lake, we want to thank the staff for their great customer service, integrity and guidance. - Liz H.

Caring
Brookdale North Chelmsford's rooms were semi-private or private. The semi-private were not amenable to us in terms of size and there was no privacy between the two occupants. They have a nice restaurant, theater, patios and transportation. It was more expensive than my mom's current facility. The staff was very friendly, accommodating, and helpful.

Our loved one has been in Brookdale for almost 3 weeks. The staff is very caring and accommodating. Shane Thomas the Sales & Marketing Director was amazing during the admittance process. We had a short window to make a decision and she was responsive and informative. I'm in the community often, both Shane and the Director are present and engage with the residents. During the holidays they held many activities. It's not always perfect, but I feel confident that we selected the right community.

Caring
Our visit with Brookdale North Chelmsford was very good. I think they're pretty comparable with the other places we toured. The dining room was very nicely done. When we went the first time around the staff was OK. The second time the person that was supposed to give us the tour called us over, and that staff was better. Everything is very nice, the grounds are very nice, and the community is in a good location.

Caring
Brookdale North Chelmsford has all kinds of things going on and off campus, like classes, movies, internet cafes, and a shuttle that goes a couple days a week back and forth to Walmart. I have a rather large studio with a small kitchenette, a refrigerator, sink, and a large bathroom with a walk-in shower. The staff makes a serious effort to remember everybody by name. I was astounded since people who only saw me once were calling me by name. It was nice. The place is very clean. I'm very pleased.

Brookdale North Chelmsford was very nice, clean, and bright. They had a nice, big central dining room. The room seemed fine.

The facility is beautifully designed. They even prepared a birthday dinner for me in a private dining room. I was over joyed that my mother was able to participate.

My friend moved to Brookdale. It was more comfortable and not too pricey. The facility is very clean with no odor. The staff is very cordial and attentive. The room has a bathroom and kitchenette, and its always clean. The food is very good according to my friend, and they had quite a variety of dishes.

I visited Emeritus. That was the one we decided would be best for her. It was very nice. It looks fairly new and very modern. Theyre updating the interior with new painting and rugs. Everyone was really friendly; the young lady that we spoke to when we got there, the nurse, the chef and the other folks that was roaming around. Everyone said hello. We sat and talked to other residents. We got the sense that they take care of the residents; the residents seemed happy with the staff. They have a nurse on staff too. We went there and had lunch and were back a few times. It had a huge dining room which looked like a restaurant. The dining room was superb. The menu was very nice. If you dont like what theyre having that day, you could pick off another menu. They had plenty of choices and a very comfortable setting. It had other couple rooms for functions. I looked at 3 or 4 rooms and they were all very nice. A couple of them were just remodeled with new painting and carpeting. I just looked at one bedroom, but my mother doesnt want anything that large. The studios were rather small, but it was perfect for her. They have a full calendar of activities every month. They go out to lunch in the community, bingo, card games, folks come in and have sing along, and other things. It seemed to me that it would be a very full day.

I like the location of Emeritus at Meadow Lodge. Generally, the place is nice and I really like the person-in-charge at their memory care unit. They do have activities like bingo and short trips; they have a very active calendar.
July 2014
Caring
We have found a place. We like Emeritus because it is pleasant, comfortable, safe, and not expensive. It is not as nice as the property in SC. There is not as much room to move around there. The activities are probably as good, but I'm not there every day to see what they do, but as long as my mother is safe and comfortable, then that's the deal for me. These people are caring. I have observed them. They seemed like they know what they are doing.
March 2014
Caring
Emeritus seemed very friendly. They were well equipped. I think there would be a spot that would be suitable for my wife, but I just can't afford them. The staff was fine, very friendly and very helpful. It looked they had a large room set up there with a TV, showing movies and things for the guests.
