We are moving our father from this place to a place with better care. Admin lacks leadership skills allowing the head nurse to control everything which is mostly lording over the resident's. The staff lie for one another when there are complaints of resident's needs not being met. Always placing blame on the resident.. It's a sad place with alot of neglect & abuse from the staff. There are just a few good staff there who actually care & show respect to the resident's. No leadership, & staff pretty much do as they please with no accountability. More of a drug house then a safe home for those who live there. It's no wonder so many of them drink alcohol. If you're a drunk or a drug addict this is the place for you. You can get away with just about anything including hitting other vulnerable resident's & still live there! Never seen anything like it & I personally worked in health care for 30 years. What a nightmare.

I will state only facts and let you decide how you feel: my girl is still awaiting her first incontinence supplies. It has been 4 months , 4 long months!

My girl was transferred here from a nursing home. She was moved into a unit infested with cockroaches, the toilet was not bolted to the floor, the stove did not work at all and the oven still had food inside it from the last renter. Not only was it filthy, it was not comparable to a person in a wheelchair. The staff ignored all of our requests for repairs and eventually my girl had to pay more to be moved to another unit. It has been 4 months now and she still has not even received any incontinence supplies. There are some very good and attentive staff here, but the opposite is also present. One time, I had to call the police to witness how my girl had been left 6 hours in a feecies filled diaper repeatedly begging for assistance. I suggest you call around and ask other services their opinion of Cherry Creek, before you make any decisions.

Clean, nice and friendly staff, lots of things to do to keep busy, affordable. Alot of remodeling and 'care' has changed this facility over the last several years.

the facility has really came a long way. Its clean, caters to all ages, offers alot of activities and you never smell bad odors like you do in alot of facilities. Its like a city within a city with their own facility store, activities all the time scheduled, dances, church services, shopping trips, even the casino once a month for the ones that want to go. The staff are helpful and friendly. They even have notices posted at entry where the state and governor have sent letters commending them on no deficiencies and the noticeable hard work that has been done there.

Caring
There have been alot of changes in this facility in the last year. Overall improvements in staff and atmosphere. I visited this place for my mom after having had an uncle here in past and the changes are really great. I would recommend it to anyone not wanting a boring, quiet lifestyle. It has a friendly and fun atmosphere, and can definitely see that they truly do try to meet all the needs.

My grandmother lives in the facility and it's the best I've seen so far. She is a diabetic so she has to take insulin and other med's. The nursing staff is always right on time to give her the meds and don't ever keep her waiting for them. The atmosphere is very caring and friendly as well.I have seen first hand that the residents are highly respected and the staff treat them as if they are family. They provide a lot of different activities for the residents to participate in so that they keep busy. I would highly recommend this assisted living facility to others.
