Choosing a facility for your loved one (our 94 year old mother in law) to move into and live in is not easy and there are tons of options. You find out quickly you don't know what you are doing and how the system works. We narrowed down our choices and went on a facility tour and narrowed it to two Tutera properties. We then chose Lamar Court based upon staff we met, condition and cleanliness of property and location. Even before we made our final decision the staff had already sent us some generic information that helped us navigate state programs. Lisa, Jessica and Donna all helped us made our decision to choose Lamar Court an easy one. Since then our decision has been reinforced, the entire staff is helpful, cheerful and sincerely care about the residents. An initial concern people talk about is my loved one going to be by herself alot and nothing could be further from the truth at Lamar Court, someone comes in every morning to see if she needs help dressing and make sure she gets down to breakfast, lunch and dinner. I came in one day and the activities director was in her room seeing what she is interested in so they can make sure she doesn't miss those activities. Activity director makes sure each resident that attends is involved. The nurses make sure she is doing well and takes her meds. Dining room staff is quick to find out what residents want to eat and get them served. They all report to us as we come by as to how she is doing being a new resident. Even the residents have been very good at introducing themselves and help make sure she knows when there are activities. She has only been there a month yet has her favorite dining table picked out, she likes to relax on outdoor patio and her favorites are the desserts and the live music. We are very happy we chose Lamar Court.

We recently toured Lamar Court looking for assisted living for my mother. We had toured 6 facilities and this was one of our top two. Lisa, the admissions and marketing coordinator was excellent. She went above and beyond for our tour. Food has been a huge issue for my mother at her current facility and Lisa was so gracious and had them serve us lunch so she could sample the food. I was pleasantly surprised at how updated and spacious the apartment was. I was impressed with the activities calendar. Lisa is an asset to their organization with her kind, caring and welcoming attitude. I was impressed at how passionate she is about the residents and their quality of life at Lamar Court.

My mom just moved in but the entire experience has been wonderful! The staff is so friendly and helpful. My mom likes the food and is keeping busy with all the activities. We came from The Madison and I can tell you it’s night and day different! So much better! Wish we would have found Lamar Court sooner!

This place is a complete fraud!! The only reason they have good reviews is because they had a contest on how many people can get good reviews for them. And in exchange they would win some lottery tickets.95% of the people who have put a review for this place are family members of employees and know absolutely nothing about what really is going on behind them closed doors!! You have staff members who ask family members for money. Staff members run the facility not administration! To where residents no personal business about staff members. Administration is rude conniving and just straight-out frauds!! This is not an assisted living facility, its more like a skilled facility. You have residence who where accepted and lied to about the services they would get. But Lamar Court cant even properly staff their own facility. They leave the care of your loved ones in the hands of only one CNA and one nurse for 84 residents. Which the last time I knew was the legal with the Kansas State board of nursing. Awesome have even covered up reasons why residents have passed away in order to save their own behind by coaxing employees on what to say. Had a woman die because the CNA dropped her pushing her in her walker the wrong direction and ended up breaking her back and four places and eventually died. They are also in legally giving a residence cat insulin knowing that is outside their scope of practice and license. You have several employees who have continuously been verbally abuse by one person who Lamar Court keeps making excuses for!! I wouldnt leave my worst enemies family member in this facility nor trust them to take care of them for they might end up dead as well.

As soon as you enter Lamar Court you are instantly greeted by one of our staff Members. We strive to not only get to know family members but to make them feel like they are a part of the Lamar Court family. Management is always there when you need them and willing to get "dirty" if need be. w Coming to work here is so amazing!! I can always count on my other CNAs.

By working in the nursing industry coupled with my mother being in nursing care since the 90's, I have extensive experience with many facilities in the area. In the rated categories and comparable price range, I have not found a location that surpasses Lamar Court. The employees are friendly, happy, and energetic. This translates directly to the residents who display similar attitudes.

My Mother and I visited this facility, and we found it be very pleasant, inviting, and well-run. We were warmly greeted at the door by several residents sitting outside the entrance beneath the large covered area enjoying the day and the company. And we were warmly greeted inside by the equally friendly staff. We took up quite a bit of time asking questions about details of care issues, and we were both impressed. They offered us a courtesy meal, and we enjoyed the food. This is a must-see for anyone looking for assisted living in the Johnson County area. Youll like the rooms, floor plan, staff, care plan, meals, and residents.

I recently visited Lamar Court Assisted Living to bring donations for an event. I was promptly greeted by friendly staff and noticed fresh flowers in the lobby. I arrived during lunch time, so I got the chance to visit with several residents heading to the dining room or waiting for family to visit.
