The Executive Director of this facility, Brad, has put together a very strong, competent, and caring team at Independence Villages of Zionsville East. The Director of Nursing, Heather, is a true gem for their residents -- she truly cares for and works hard to provide appropriate individualized health care to residents. She is a true advocate for the resident! Brantley, Memory Care Director, does a great job with the extra special needs of her residents and goes beyond by coordinating/scheduling monthly educational programs "support group" for the residents' family members.

This community is a special place! You immediately feel welcome when you step through the doors. The staff is so friendly and the residents are always smiling and happy and engaged in some type of activity. A real feeling of family all around. I love that the community is designed in a style representative of the Greatest Generation- it’s warm and cozy and feels like a home. Bravo on creating such a warm, welcoming atmosphere!

My dad ended up needing assisted living due to some health concerns. We went from casually browsing facilities to needing a place to go after a hospital visit. Angela Pauley was my only contact for Independence Village Zionsville East, and once we decided on this facility, she came to the hospital for my dad to fill out his lease and other paperwork, she talked to me daily for a week to ensure everything moved smoothly, and she facilitated my dad moving into the furnished apartment to test out the facility before moving into his specific unit. She did not pressure my dad or me, and she worked with him on his schedule to ensure the move went smooth. This transition would not have happened without Angela’s guidance, support, and overall approach. Now, my dad has been in the facility for 3+ months, and I visit often. The facility itself is always a clean, happy environment. Brad and Willy add another element to this facility, as they are constantly high energy, happy, and overall outstanding individuals to interact with. I called Brad today, to inform him that I would be writing a letter, and I told him that there is not one complaint I have about this move, the facility, or the staff that work there. I held off condoning Angela to see if the facility lived up to expectations, and I can happily say that Independence Zionsville East has exceeded any expectation I had going into this experience. I can not say enough great things about Independence Village Zionsville East, Angela, Brad, or Willy, and the other staff that I do not know by name. This new home for my dad has helped him become more social, healthier, and has continued to impress me and my dad with the activities and environment they offer their residents. Kudos to the leadership team for creating such an easy environment for my dad to thrive in!

I really enjoyed visiting Independence Village Zionsville East. The facility is well set up and impressive. More importantly, the staff was the most impressive part. From Mr. Miller, the Executive Director, down, every person I encountered was courteous, polite, and helpful. Everything seems to be organized and well ran under good direction. This facility is at the top of my list on places that I feel comfortable taking care of my loved ones. I encourage anyone needing a place to help facilitate the care of a loved one to check this place out. Oh… the family also really enjoyed the live Nativity Scene!

My Mom moved into The Hearth at Tudor Gardens a few months ago and we could not be more happy with our decision to move her in! This was very new for us and we knew nothing about senior living, but they walked us through every step and the staff have been so delightful to us ever since. Even in the midst of a pandemic, the process was seamless. My Mom participates in the daily activities and talks about how good the food is every time we talk to her. Thank you Hearth at Tudor Gardens for taking such great care of Mom!

My father lived here for the last 15 months of his life. We loved that its proximity to me was the best and I was able to easily bring him to my house or doctors appointments very easily. Most of the staff was wonderful, especially Betty head of nursing and Dawn head of staff management. Johnnie, Stephanie angels of nurses. Roger driver another angel! Many others, cant name them all. No place is perfect but it was friendly and the best place for my family situation. I encourage everyone facing finding a place for their parent to be involved with your loved one as much as possible. Assisted/Independent living accommodations are a huge help but the children still need to be on top of things and get to know and appreciate the staff. Ive talked with other family members with loved ones at the Hearth and we all agree that relative to other places around it is the best and most homey place there is! It may not be as big and fancy as others in the area being built, but much more quaint and less confusing for those elderly who may not want big and fancy. My father was only in independent living. I had no personal experience with the memory care. Hope this helps! Im

Very clean, friendly staff, good food, great atmosphere! The only place I'd want to live in my elder years. They've taken very good care of someone I love. I agree that the nurse-to-room / assistant-to-room time lag is a concern though.

Wonderful place; kind, caring staff; excellent programs for dementia residents. My only complaint is the communications between nursing and the physician service that The Hearth contracts with. Sometimes messages don't get relayed, and the physician is impossible for a family member to reach directly. That's more a function of the physician service than The Hearth, but relying on reaching The Hearth's director of nursing to get an urgent request to your loved one's doctor is too sketchy for my comfort. It's important to learn how to work with the system.

My mother moved into assisted living two weeks ago. She moved in so quick that we didn't know how to go about daily activities. But we have slowly found our answers. Mother seems to be adjusting. But being 95 years old, change is difficult. But I know she is safe and has a lovely studio and caring help. She likes the food which is so important to the elderly. One of the few things they can enjoy. She is coming out of her shyness a little each day.
